Ironically I literally just went through this whole process trying to use another UA-camrs link and he didn't explain that I needed to deposit the money in coinbase and use it in that version to get the free money.🤦 So I made my 1st buy of Bitcoin and it was "on order". @@Stonefactor mostly because there's no urgency at the moment. The tax man isn't coming for bitcoin yet. The IRS is so underfunded that they won't really bother going after people unless you report the income. For people trading more than $20k on Coinbase, Coinbase will report it to the IRS. For myself, I do some trading but haven't cashed out. Long term I'm bullish so I'll just keep holding and worry about taxes once it becomes an issue. You could also consider bitcoin ATM's, but some charge 10-15% so might as well pay taxes in that situation

Do yoj have explanation of their policies that block transfers? Also, im not abld to move USD from coinbase to CBPro. And could you do a more detailed video on buying with botcoin? Esp limit orders, incl the thought process for setting up a limig buy or stop limit?

19:37 It is highly unlikely, you can make a typo and still be able to send coins. There is a difference between an invalid address and an incorrect address. All bitcoin wallets/clients check if addresses are valid. Bitcoin addresses are the PubKeyHash encoded in Base58 with a version value and a checksum. The checksum is the leftmost 32 bits of a double hash of the PubKeyHash. The format of the address is often referred to as Base58Checked in technical documents. Since the checksum is 32 bits the probability of entering an incorrect address that will still decode to an incorrect but valid PubKeyHash is roughly 1 in 4.3 billion. So, on average, 4,294,967,295 out of 4,294,967,296 times a typo will produce an address that is incorrect AND invalid. When decoded the PubKeyHash will not produce the proper checksum, the error will be detected by the client/wallet, and the transaction won't be created. The blockchain will also not accept an invalid address. To actually lose coins to a typo you would need to produce not just any invalid address, but one that is valid but incorrect and the odds of that happening are almost zero.

This is a good overview. I am a non-US investor. I have experienced holds on my coinbase crypto when trying to transfer it to the pro acct. Do yoj have explanation of their policies that block transfers? Also, im not abld to move USD from coinbase to CBPro. And could you do a more detailed video on buying with botcoin? Esp limit orders, incl the thought process for setting up a limig buy or stop limit?

19:37 It is highly unlikely, you can make a typo and still be able to send coins. There is a difference between an invalid address and an incorrect address.
All bitcoin wallets/clients check if addresses are valid.
Bitcoin addresses are the PubKeyHash encoded in Base58 with a version value and a checksum. The checksum is the leftmost 32 bits of a double hash of the PubKeyHash. The format of the address is often referred to as Base58Checked in technical documents.
Since the checksum is 32 bits the probability of entering an incorrect address that will still decode to an incorrect but valid PubKeyHash is roughly 1 in 4.3 billion. So, on average, 4,294,967,295 out of 4,294,967,296 times a typo will produce an address that is incorrect AND invalid. When decoded the PubKeyHash will not produce the proper checksum, the error will be detected by the client/wallet, and the transaction won't be created. The blockchain will also not accept an invalid address.
To actually lose coins to a typo you would need to produce not just any invalid address, but one that is valid but incorrect and the odds of that happening are almost zero.
