Good Morning Steve. As always youve made another very detailed video with an unbias review. You are the reason i got into the whole drone hobby. That hobby has now became a passion of mine. Although I am hooked and sold on DJI. As expensive as they are. I love them.
Hey there Captain just wanted to let you know having lived near the mountains in the Pacific Northwest of the US most of my life, winter usually is much much colder than -10 Celsius. There's been plenty of days when I worked outside for over 10 hours in - 28.8 C not factoring in wind chill and standing in the snow. Cold snaps here can get as low as - 40 C. All that being said keep up the great reviews Captain! It's always a good day when I see a notification from your channel.
Hello Frozen Steve, Don't know how y'all handle those cold temps, but that snow is beautiful! I'm way down south in Texas so we have the heat but I'm used to it. That is a really nice little machine at a great price and I'm considering it right now. Love your videos and look forward to each one... keep them coming and Happy New Year to you and your family!
Yesterday it was knocking on the door of 80 deg here in the Houston area, 😊. Take a vacation in Galveston and bring lots of drones and be comfy while filming a review. This Cinalog 30 would be ideal in filming the restoration of the Battleship Texas that is going on right now. My wife and I would act as your tour guide and treat you to some good seafood as well. Love the review👍👍👨🦳

what do you have to "plug in" to use dji controller 3?? or does everything with the dji 03 camera automatically work with the dji goggles and controller?? there is no separate receiver for the controller??? unless elrs or something?? sorry noob here,,, i just got my avata 2 and neo and found out the US is likely to ground all dji drones,,, if so, will something like this still work with the goggles and controller, or will it be grounded also??

Hello, the link to your used Lipo batteries is down? Suggestions for batteries you can use with this drone? For pilots who live in Europe. Everything from GEPRC you have to order directly in China, no European shop apparently.
What link are you talking about? There is no link to batteries for this drone. Just go on AMAZON and buy yourself a 4S battery at 700, 720, 730, 750, 800 mah.
The range is up to the PILOT. The PILOT decides the range by using a selected RECEIVER, a selected RADIO, selecting the power output, Using the proper antennas, using the correct video transmitter and receiver, and using the correct batteries. This is why the FPV hobby is the best drone hobby in the world!
Following you closely dear Captain, since I recently got the first fpv (well… not exactly… it was my kid and it was a Santa’s present…). Just wanted to share love here, your reviews are great and this one is another great one. Quick question: what’s the average battery duration in that cold weather and with the driving style of the footage you recorded? Merry Christmas…. and Keep the hard work!
Does this require a lot of tuning in beta flight or can you bind it w the dji controller 3 and go. I gave up on fpv a few years ago because of learning curve with building and beta flight. Now I have an avata 2 because of the "ease" . This looks cool but worried it requires a lot of beta flight tuning.
All FPV Drones require configuration in BETAFLIGHT CONFIGURATOR due to the operating system on the drone being BETAFLIGHT. DJI does not use BETAFLIGHT on their drones like the DJI FPV Drone, AVATA and AVATA2 and NEO, because those are designed for beginners and those drones have beginner features like SAFTEY GPS, OPTICAL FLOW, RTH, GEOFENCING, etc, and none of those features exist in BETAFLIGHT.
My take is those are drones flown by US Citizens. Since they have blinky lights it means they are not from ALIENS or other COUNTRIES because they do not wish to be hidden. My guess is they are the DJI Agricultural type drones which are super large and have a long flight time and can be programmed with WAYPOINTS prior to takeoff. The drones are all flying a WAYPOINT pattern.
@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thank you for the reply. I have been a subscriber for a while now and have a small drone to learn the basics, end plan is to use it to chech my eaves on my house. That is what I was thinking. But they need to be kept out of aitport airspace and away from military bases.
The AVATA 2 is what is known as a HYBRID drone (part DJI beginner GPS camera drone and part DJI beginner FPV drone). This GEPRC drone is an FPV Drone that requires the pilot to have advanced pilot skills and advanced knowledge in the RC Hobby, so very different.
Hi Captain, a question: What is your take on this quad shipping with unlicenced BlHeli32 ESC firmware (test version)? I saw this in a review by Mads Tech, and he said because of this he simply could not recommend the drone (even though he really liked it otherwise). Also, if there is some bug in the firmware, there will be no way to fix it, as there is no development and BlHeli is defunct. Just wondering if you feel it's not a problem, or that it may be. Thanks!
MADS TECH makes videos based on “shock content” and often recommends to viewers “Don’t do this firmware update”, “Don’t bind this device”, “Don’t consider buying this”. That is what his channel is about. It is up to the viewer to decide if the 1 in a million chance of something going wrong is worth following his advice. He is knowledgeable but at the same time if he was my neighbor it would be impossible to plan an outing with him because he would say… “There is a 5% chance of rain tomorrow, so we should stay in”. Do you see what I’m getting at 😂. In order for companies to exist they have to make reliable products or else no one will buy from them again. So, for me, a guy that has been in the RC Hobby since the year 2013, I don’t concern myself with such issues unless there is something GLARING wrong with a product.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thank you so much for taking the time to respond! Love your vids and basically watch them all. But...I watch his videos also (though not all). Well, I watch as many on the subject matter as I can cram in, as I'm dipping my toes in the "real" fpv drone hobby :)
Hey Captain, love your videos. Just watched your video on the GEPRC Cinelog30 V2. Just wondering if you'd know. I have a DJI FPV remote Controller 2 and Integra googles. Would they be compatible with this drone ordered with the PNP option? Love your reviews. Thanks so much and keep up the great work. Tony
Steve did you find it more powerful./faster than the v1, I think its more powerful, taking some getting used to on my internal flythroughs. But it looks and feels so much better than the v1
Usually a NEWER version of an FPV Drone using the same voltage will have a BETTER Flight controller which then means a Better tuning, and Better ESC (more responsive), so better flight.
That Drone is sweet! I just checked it out on Amazon its about $500, Ill keep this in mind for a next drone. Love the way it flys. I didn't know you lived in Canada, I could of swore your early videos were you flying around in the desert, so i figured California, AZ or something like that. What are your thoughts on the Drones over New Jersey? I was thinking ALiens but ALiens wouldn't have FAA lights on, but some say they are the size of SUV's. Do you think the DJI ban will force FAA to Brick DJI launching permissions? So much going on in the drone world lately lol Thats an idea for a video, just your opinions on the state of the Drone world without having to get a ne drone for a new episode. As Always love your stuff. This holiday I bought 2 Neos, incase the ban is just a ban on sales. lol
Drones over NJ are drones flown by idiots. I say this because the drones fly with blinky lights on (which means they are not stealth or from an Alien or other country) and they fly in a WAYPOINT pattern (easily programmed before flight). They are probably DJI Farm/Agriculture Drones which are super large, long flight time and very common.
I am considering starting the RC hobby and have been watching a lot of your content which I really enjoy :) As a total newbie I am considering either a small RC helicopter or a drone like you have just reviewed, which would you consider the best to start with. Happy Christmas from a much warmer UK :)
Thanks for watching. Since you are new to the RC Hobby, the best thing to do is look for a DRONE, HELICOPTER or PLANE that comes in an RTF kit. RTF means READY TO FLY. This means that everything you need to fly is included and everything has been configured to work together.
@@richardb3882I have reviewed a ridiculous number of RTF Drones, Helicopters and Planes. Just search my channel for RTF. Type in the search CAPTAIN DRONE RTF BEGINNER HELICOPTER or type in CAPTAIN DRONE RTF BEGINNER DRONE
Which parts of Canada are you from bc we havent received these types of temperatures in Southern Ontario yet. Its wet and cold but not -12c cold 😭. Great review BTW!!
I just recently discovered whoops and have decided they look like a fun business expense before the end of the year. I work in real estate so the drone would be largely for shooting indoors, but also for things like inspecting roofs, gutters, some aerial video/photos, etc. It seems that the DJI 03 is currently the top notch camera, but it and the DJI gear is expensive and from what I read it's relatively heavy for a whoop camera. In the HD whoop segment, where do you feel the point of diminishing return is in regard to weight/performance for HD cameras, especially for indoor use? If you had a recommendation for an FPV setup that you think fits my purposes, I would LOVE to get your recommendations.
Watch my video review of the DJI AVATA 2 for BEGINNERS. I discuss HOW TO REAL ESTATE VIDEO at the beginning of the video when teaching indoor footage for beginners. Yes, expensive, but it is the only kit on the market that a real estate agent could fly in less than an hour and get great results. A true FPV drone, even a WHOOP, will take you Months, if not years of practice, to be able to get the results you want because those drones are designed for Pilots with ADVANCED skills.
Wonderful video as always Sir ❤.. I had a question on my mind.. between Cinebot 30 and cinelog 30V2 .. which would be your pick and why ? I am from India and am quite fond of FPV drones too... The noise factor is a priority for me ... Although I have a fleet of all types of drones, each well suited for their individual use cases. But I am still on the hunt for an ultimate all-in-one type travel drone, with room for installation of GPS; quieter than the most in class and able to do some amount of long range .. Would you recommend this or the cinebot ? 😊
Hi Steve to you and your family and your Rc friends. Wishing you a wonderful and wonderful Christmas. Best wishes in advance for the year 2025. Greetings from Euro Netherlands. 🖐🎅🌲🎁☃️. 🎊🥳🎉⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
Good Morning Captain!! If all Drones over 300 grams must be registered in the US. How is it no information on the 6’ drones flying over AMERICA is available? A local pd can see a drone flying and with a few phone calls the FBI will tell the cop exactly whose drone it is and ALL KINDS OF information on the drone pilot! Ur thoughts on the drones??
The answer is simple…. What is the SPEED LIMIT on your local hiway? Do you drive over the speed limit now and then? If yes then you are a citizen breaking the law. When it comes to RC Drones, RC Planes, RC Helicopters, the only people who follow the regulations are less than half of the people who fly such items. So the drones over NJ are probably DJI type Agricultural drones which are super large and have a long flight time. Since the drones shown in videos all have blinky lights it means they are not from ALIENS, the GOVERNMENT or other COUNTRIES, because they are not trying to hide. To me the drones all look like they are flying a WAYPOINTS flight plan. These drones obviously are intended to not following any regulatory rules.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 If only our leadership could have explained it like this. Between you and Tony Northrup I think you could explain it to most peoples' satisfaction (I'm not talking about the people who desperately want to believe in ETs). Imagine the low-level panic that could have been avoided. Of course it doesn't help that they held a classified briefing after which Himes (of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence) came out and stated these were "Federal Government Operations."
Captain drone I bought the 59.00 inspire drone it wasn't very stable and drifted into a tree and broke the camera the first time I flew it. I'm sorry and maybe I'm just a weak U S. Citizen, but I have grown up in the states year round. So truth, no on average, no the states don't get on average as Cold 🥶, however we do get dangerous cold same as Canada at times through many of our winters. Last winter alone I worked 4 blocks from home, in 2 blocks I had ice forming on my mustache and beard, as I walked to save gas. No hate just saying so you know

I am considering starting the RC hobby and have been watching a lot of your content which I really enjoy :)
As a total newbie I am considering either a small RC helicopter or a drone like you have just reviewed, which would you consider the best to start with.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thank's for the quick response, do you have a recommendation?
@@richardb3882I have reviewed a ridiculous number of RTF Drones, Helicopters and Planes. Just search my channel for RTF. Type in the search CAPTAIN DRONE RTF BEGINNER HELICOPTER or type in CAPTAIN DRONE RTF BEGINNER DRONE
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thank you so much for the advice I really appreciate it
Which parts of Canada are you from bc we havent received these types of temperatures in Southern Ontario yet. Its wet and cold but not -12c cold 😭. Great review BTW!!
I’m in the beautiful city of Ottawa
kool LEDs on drone
Yo steave do you have the traxxax xrt
XRT? Nope, I don’t believe I have that one.
@ you don't have the xrt but you have the raminater the giant monster truck😂😂😂😂😂
😊
I would buy whichever is at the lower price. GEPRC is a very good brand name.
It's a pity that more of these drones and beginner aircraft i see on this channel are not sold as RTF, ( only a few i saw) they would sell many more
@@dutchdronedimension6703 Normally the RTF kits will be smaller, more plastic built drones. Maybe in 2025 a pro model will emerge.
Oddityrc tho Very good
Cinebot 30 on the way. We will see. It’s 6s
Thank you Richard! Merry Christmas to you and your family as well.
I'm an American. I know cold temperatures. It gets cold in Montana.
Oh, I’m sure it is 😏
Good Morning Captain!!
Keep in mind The USA Gov. Is in charge , Maybe When Trump takes over It will Be handled better .

@@oldmandoingstuff8997 Nope. It will get more difficult for hobbyists to own and fly drones.

I thought Canada was metric and not all feets and toes.
Captain drone I bought the 59.00 inspire drone it wasn't very stable and drifted into a tree and broke the camera the first time I flew it. Then I saved enough money to get a cetus x, two days later the wind took it and it was gone never to be found again. I'm 59 yrs old on disability and can't afford to buy anything else but I would appreciate it if you had anything that you didn't want anymore that you could gift to me. I would appreciate it so much. I'm in the US and would be able to pay the shipping fee. Please help if you can.
I think we all know is cold in Canada in winter. Stop complaining about the weather every time 😂
I'm sorry and maybe I'm just a weak U S.
No hate just saying so you know
You are welcome to move to Winnipeg, Manitoba for a year. And if your limbs don’t fall off, you will be given a T-Shirt. 😀
@CAPTAINDRONE798 lol got a good job for me? I like fishing and woods, as well as lakes, to be honest I have thought about it, but my family is here, and they don't like to travel especially in the cold. So here I remain.
From a distance it looks the size of a bus. Of course nobody is so stupid to think it really is that big. Is there?
You need to have NJ special eyesight 😳
