Oh Dommy, be strong I had a case like that 2012 I won a green card for America and I did everything I sold my plot to complete the process the injection together with my son costed me about 45k but the day of my embassy I got a young lady at the entrance and she send me away and called the security and so it was all in vain. But I still trust GOD. Am now in Baharain.

The visa cancellation and deportation processes should never be casual. The Malaysian Parliament agreed that there should be very clear SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to be followed IF or WHEN a traveler is to be denied entry into a country.

On my first visit to US my Visa had a stamp of the dates of the conference. This means that I could not enter US if the dates had already passed. You shouldn't have gone if the seminar had already started. Also, the return ticket betrayed you. It would have been better if it had a shorter time and then you apply for extension at a fee. I don't see any racism here.
There could be some hint of racism in how you were handled or treated by HS but there was no racism in canceling the visa. They couldn’t reconcile two weeks stay and a three months return ticket. Unfortunately this is how things are here. A big lesson to learn from your experience my brother. Thank you for sharing.
The length of the Visa does not matter, what matters is the stamp on I94 which tells you when you should exit US. During my second visit, I was given 3 weeks while my colleague whom we were attending a seminar together was given 3 months.
Nick Machogu that’s true you. My sister applied for two weeks visa. She was issued a five year visa. At the port of entry they stamped and allowed her to stay for a month but I had her return after the two weeks. Since then she has returned for longer stay. My take is if you say at the embassy you’re coming for two weeks and at the port of entry the allow you a month. Be smart just stay the two weeks and leave. You can always come back for a longer time. Otherwise you’ll have an issue after five years when you try to renew or reapply for another visa. They’ll want you to explain why you stayed more than two weeks.

Pole sana. I sympathize with this guy. Those who invited him made a mistake that caused that problem although they did not intend to. This is where the failure occured:- 1. They failed to ensure the return date on the ticket is the same as the last day of stay as indicated on invitation letter and my guess is that the person who wrote the invitation is not the same who bought the ticket. 2.They failed to correct that error immediately they learned that their visitor was held up by immigration officials. They ought to have acknowledged to immigration officials that they made an error when purchasing the ticket then plead with officials to allow them correct the error with assurance that their visitor would stay in the country for only the period indicated on invitation letter. That was the only logical prayer at that moment. 3. They failed to provide him with proper information that one cannot do anything other than what visa states. Due to that, this guy had very wrong expectation that he would improve his life greatly on arrival to America. Consequently, he messed up himself when being interogated about discrepancies on stay period and return date. For example if he metioned to them that he was to "work" in church during his stay, at that moment he sealed his fate.

No... Depends with why you were deported. He had not broken any law while there, and the author of the ticket was not his mistake. Actually he should have written to the US consulate for appeal and complaint, through a lawyer of course. It was just a bad day with the counter official at the border entry... Otherwise he had not done any crime. Entering any American Embassy is like entering America for real... So by being given a visa, shows that he was already welcomed in the US by one official and denied entry by another... Let the US consulate in Kenya answer that and also compensate you... Otherwise try again in the proper way. Be blessed.

I know this guy says it wasn't a big deal for the time frame of the ticket..but I differ with you. I know for sure, that was the reason for entry denial. You must understand that they don't want any foreigner being a public charge. The mistake both you and your host did was failure to have it documented that, the remainder of the time, you will be actively engaged in church activities and training.. that was a very big deal. The length of the Visa does not matter, what matters is the stamp on I94 which tells you when you should exit US. During my second visit, I was given 3 weeks while my colleague whom we were attending a seminar together was given 3 months.
Nick Machogu that’s true you. My sister applied for two weeks visa. She was issued a five year visa. At the port of entry they stamped and allowed her to stay for a month but I had her return after the two weeks. Since then she has returned for longer stay.
My take is if you say at the embassy you’re coming for two weeks and at the port of entry the allow you a month.
Be smart just stay the two weeks and leave. You can always come back for a longer time.
Otherwise you’ll have an issue after five years when you try to renew or reapply for another visa.
They’ll want you to explain why you stayed more than two weeks.

not just US anywhere in the world, visa is just means of travel permit subject to immigration officer at point of entry, that officer is the real deal.

Those who invited him made a mistake that caused that problem although they did not intend to.
This is where the failure occured:-
1. They failed to ensure the return date on the ticket is the same as the last day of stay as indicated on invitation letter and my guess is that the person who wrote the invitation is not the same who bought the ticket.
2.They failed to correct that error immediately they learned that their visitor was held up by immigration officials. They ought to have acknowledged to immigration officials that they made an error when purchasing the ticket then plead with officials to allow them correct the error with assurance that their visitor would stay in the country for only the period indicated on invitation letter. That was the only logical prayer at that moment.
3. They failed to provide him with proper information that one cannot do anything other than what visa states. Due to that, this guy had very wrong expectation that he would improve his life greatly on arrival to America.
Consequently, he messed up himself when being interogated about discrepancies on stay period and return date. For example if he metioned to them that he was to "work" in church during his stay, at that moment he sealed his fate.
Return ticket was the only problem..s it wasnt marching with the duration of stay...theres was no need of return ticket...bt God will see you through.

No... Depends with why you were deported. He had not broken any law while there, and the author of the ticket was not his mistake. Actually he should have written to the US consulate for appeal and complaint, through a lawyer of course. It was just a bad day with the counter official at the border entry... Otherwise he had not done any crime. Entering any American Embassy is like entering America for real... So by being given a visa, shows that he was already welcomed in the US by one official and denied entry by another... Let the US consulate in Kenya answer that and also compensate you... Otherwise try again in the proper way. Be blessed.

I had wasted alot of money with travel documents but I thank God , another opportunity came and i took it, but that time i was more sharper than before. I went to America also and deported same day why my papers were even expired and my visa for 6 months ..why my mother died ...after I got my visa the day I went for my visa she was taken to hospital ....I even called her I told now.our problem are over ...and.her pain is no more .. imagine just after coming from hosy we were happy together and celebrated ...my visa ...that night she just started changing ...and she never be same ....day by day I could wait my brother who stood for my ticket now turn to be busy with her medication and hospital..
.look day by day ..my sister then.she died in June ...my visa I got In April .... loooo then she was buried in July ...to come back in Nairobi from ushago ... from.funeral I had to calm down ...wait from.my bro to recover from the loos and look for. Money ..

I know this guy says it wasn't a big deal for the time frame of the ticket..but I differ with you. I know for sure, that was the reason for entry denial. You must understand that they don't want any foreigner being a public charge. The mistake both you and your host did was failure to have it documented that, the remainder of the time, you will be actively engaged in church activities and training.. that was a very big deal. Now you know and so is others!
