yeah Cactus and Callin' sound similar because they're from the same genre (hard EDM-style)! it was A.C.E's trademark in the beginning and really differentiated them from other groups, especially with the intense choreography

; Wow was taking a break frm promotions in Down to takecare of his mental health. He is all good with treatment now and it was way back before enlistment. And yes the song is in English and they do sound unique too. As for Take me Higher, Chan was promoting in UNB when he was 1 of the top 10 in the survival show and he did not promote with ACE for that tyme being. The song was not completed until Chan sing in it too.
You should check out It's Live where ACE sings live for most of their songs and other artist songs once you're done with the whole ACE songs such as :

About Down, Wow was not physically present in the video but his vocals are in the song as well as the North American duo who were part of the collab (Grey). There is another version of this song with just A.C.E members and in that version, Wow has more lines as well, including half of the rapping part. In addition, there is a Korean version of Down. :)
Oddly enough, I think they filmed the mv for Changer while Wow was still on his mental health hiatus.
Yes, Callin; was the single after Cactus and they both contain a lot of elements for their story universe. If you notice, there was a cactus in the Callin' mv. (There was a cactus in the mv for Down too. 😁). Wow was the one who wrote the lyrics for the rap in the bridge for Take Me Higher.
Hmmm, I thought Changer was filmed shortly after Higher (because of the hair). 🤔 🤷🏻♀️
@@Maria-uv9pd That's what I thought too. But during a live or an interview, I don't remember which, one of the members mentioned that Changer was filmed first even though it came out later. If you look at the concept photos for Changer (which were taken way after the mv was filmed) Wow's hair is an entirely different color.

Calling reactions have been blocked everywhere lately, so that was kind of expected, yeah..
At that time, for "Down", Wow took a break from promotions in order to take care of his mental health, it was way before enlistment time ^^
As for "Take me higher" we are missing Chan, who went to promote in UNB, a temporary group from the Unit show, and couldn't take part in A.C.E promotions at that time.
Hope we'll see A.C.E dance practice video soon ^^

I am not confirm with K-Pop, just with BTS (at Radio) but they didn't catched me and I have watched some MV's from them too. A.C.E is my only chosen K-Pop Group I am listen to (my Choice ;-) )
In my YT algorithm (last october) came a "Vocal Switch Video" (for Anime) and the song was "Youngblood" from 5SOS coverd by A.C.E ...(I heard the original before) I listend to it again and again. It was always on my mind and I liked their voices so much that I wanted to know who they are. So my algorithm give me some MV's of them too while I just listen when I do my housework. I think the first song was "Changer" or "Higher" and I liked it, also the other songs (Undercover, Savage, Goblin, Callin) but one Songe became my favorite. I love "Take me higher". This song always come in my minde and I randomly sing the chours XD
This guys are so talented. All of them can sing, rapp, dance and yes also their visuals are good (I didn't find asians really attractive before, my opinion).
First I just listend to them and have only seen fragments of their MVs. The MV for "Youngblood" I just thought "Oh how cute" cos they look so young. Because of that fact I wasn`t interesstet in their visuals. After I read their ages it was going to be okay for me (I am a child of the 90s). But this was the fact, that I was more into their skills in dancing and I thought "They can dance, WOW! ... Funny cos it's one of their names!". Weeks later this dude hits me really hard with his visuals in "Take me higher" and I don't know why :D ... I love his voice the most of all (before). After "Higher" and "Changer" I can understand that it`s hard to find a bias and Jun was the first (in Undercover and I feel so lucky) who I thought " He has something"
Their MVs are art! And they really call me emotions (like the name said) espacially Wow (ultimate Bias).
I really hope they will have a great comeback after all of them have done their enlistment. Maybe they get what they deserve then. I just wanna see them together not without one of them. They are like brothers. After I realised the fact that Wow and Donghun are enlisted, "Changer" become bittersweet. I wish I would have found them sooner.

Performance MV of "Baby Tonight" or " Jindo Arirang" are really good. Or "Slow Dive" and "Do it like me".
Maybe you can react to their Covers too. I love "Youngblood" but also " Empty Space", "In my blood" and the Cover from Black Pink's " How do you like that" from It's live, this song hits different in their version.

Love your A.C.E reactions! And also NCT... I'm guessing either Jaehyun or Yuta. But I digress, Down is my way of recruiting Americans to CHOICE. Gray came to Korea and recorded with them. WOW was on a hiatus during the promotion but he does sing on the song.

“Take Me Higher” is my favorite title track from them. I’m glad that they changed the song to Korean because I thought that the rap lyrics that Wow wrote for it was better than the English one from the demo (under Jeff Lewis on SoundCloud for anyone curious).
My unpopular opinion is that I think their best songs from this year (not including all their appearances on _Mdromeda It’s LIVE_ because they never disappoint whenever they’re accompanied by a live band) are their OSTs. The MV’s for “Something” from _Sometoon 2021_ (which has an equally adorable rap written by Wow) and “Spark” from _Light on Me_ are constantly on my UA-cam playlist.
I love Monsta X's English songs because they are very good standalone and show different sides of the members. With A.C.E I'm getting the same vibes too. Their English song turned to be great! That proves to me that I stan right groups for me xD
I just bought Monsta X's The Dreaming CD, the whole thing is English & they sound soooo good. Still miss their Korean singing tho.

I agree completely about the all English songs. Don't get me wrong, I know there are groups that can pull it off well, but...I got into kpop because it was so different. I'm at the point where if I go to a live show for any of the groups I really follow- if they do a song that has always been in Korean to cater to an American or predominantly English speaking crowd, I typically don't even know the English lyrics. I guess a lot of times it's the disconnect from the original sound and meaning of the lyrics when trying to change it to fit the English language. I'll never forget going to a concert with NCT 127 and Monsta X that was put on by a radio station and both groups did songs mostly in English. It threw me off so bad because I didn't even know an English version existed for some of them.

Just wanted to say this about them on most recent vido didn`t expect it to be that old. Still.They don`t care about hate regarding how they dress they also support LGBTQ since they made soundtrac for korean series with gay couple and Jun himself play in on one as main lead where he even has a kiss scene which is big move for K Idol
