    Ooh! I rode from New York to Philadelphia once. It was amazing! I had previously driven it in a simulator and had a model version of it!

    Besides you there is nobody else in this car. Are you people all ignorant to the fact that there is no way to operate on a positive level with such a low ridership? Even if the train is driven by that somuch touted "renewable" energy the unit supposedly producing the energy was not free. Get your head out of your .........

      Public transit never makes money in any country regardless if it is bus, train, or light rail. The California high speed rail project is expected to cost 128 billion. You could sell tickets for a hundred years and never even come close to paying off half that amount. Amtrak runs on about 4 billion yearly budget out of 6 trillion dollars the USA spends. It's a miniscule amount for so much transit when you look at the big picture.
