Good evening gentleman , could I bother you with a question? Axalp is one of my dad's biggest dream and I want to bring him there next year . But he has vertigo . Do you know if the road is really hard narrow and stiff to get up there ? Thank you for your answers . Have a lovely evening.
@@miyakab8988 The road up to Axalp follows some steep terrain during the first half of the climb before it opens up a bit. But I don't think it is an issue for someone suffering from vertigo. I have the condition and have driven up that road many times both in the drivers and passenger's seats. No problems.
@@miyakab8988 Hi, no the road is not too narrow. You can walk up there with a big distance to the hillside. Check this image: tinyurl.com/2p9bw2yh. Instead of taking the lift, one can walk up there all the way from the bus station. Just take your time and use good hiking equipement. Especially good boots.
Love the shows dearly. I love to visit, see the shows and I am a city man from California. Is it difficult, tough for a city man hiking to the top of mountains for the shows. Details and information about the shows, please. Thank you.
Fact #1 The pilots and crews have to train anyway to stay airworthy. AXALP is no official "show". Fact #2 Calculate the amout of fuel burned per visitor on a "real airshow" eg. like the AIRPOWER. Let's assume the "show" takes 8 hours of non-stop afterburner flying. With 10.000 Liters of fuel/hour for an F-18 on full afterburner (all exaggagerated) that'll be 80.000 Liters /show. With around 150.000 spectators it's around 0.5 L/person for 8h of show....🤏

It's one off the few airshows in the world (or maybe the only) that you are looking down at the display instead off up!!! Great stuff.. Love it.
The diversity of the different aircraft as well as the parachutists makes this video one of the best I've seen in a long time. Excellent videography.
