- Last summer, I was very fortunate to participate in Holland's Got Talent. Sharing the stage with such talented artists was a true privilege and the whole experience was a true adventure in itself that I will never forget. Meeting the behind the scenes production team, the show hosts Jamal Loman and Buddy Vedder plus scaring the judges Marc-Marie Huijbregts, Chantal Janzen, Edson da Graça and Dan Karaty was a dream come true. Especially when I received the much coveted 4 yeses! I made it through to the next stage!! 🤜⚡️🤛

Flexibility and balance but you seemed to have plenty of that already. Karate teaches discipline of the mind and body as well as how to defend yourself against people who behave like brutes and Neanderthals. You might enjoy either or both

@@hebertthemikenufer7785 Tai Kwon Do Karate is a real confidence booster. It is awesome aerobic, strength and cardio. And of course flexibility.
There are so many fun dances. Pick the one that makes you happiest. I am not very country but I like waltz's. It feels gentlemanly when you dance with your girl and you can dress well to make it more special. But, I like doing the "Dougie" too.@@bendy_luckyluke

Oh, that would be incredible!! I could never be as good as him though, he is one of a kind 😍 We met in Feb 2020 at the Royal Festival Hall in London when they had their show there. He was so kind and even signed the show's book for me 🙏

Interesting that he said he just decided to try it and he could just do it. I would think it would take a lot of training to stretch your ligaments and muscles enough to get into those positions. Did not think the human body would be capable of those positions by default.
Yes, it definitely takes a lot of training to retain the flexibility.

Wnen he gets older that flexibility will be gone , it's not natural for males to be flexible and boys that are flexible like females do lose that as they age but even females lose their flexibility too as they age if it's not kept up through continuous flexing.
That's a reality with any sport, with any physical skill.

Oh, I wasn't allowed to tell the judges what my act was going to be. I didn't know how else to respond than to say 'you will see". A lot of the conversation has been cut out as the programme cannot show everything in the limited available airplay for each act. Hopefully that explains.... I can assure you I'm not arrogant.... maybe a little cheeky but definitely not arrogant.

Awesome, but what a shame he was not taught Dutch. Such a wasted opportunity.
So easily said when it's not you. You try to teach a foreign language to your child where there is NOBODY else around that speaks it with no external influences plus you work full time in excess of 40 hours a week as the only earner for your family commuting 3 hours a day too, 5 days a week, leaving only weekends which are jam-packed with errands etc. I honestly tried and before kids, I had all sorts of visions of how beautifully bilingual my children would be running through fields of barley at sunset 🤣. My eldest was behind on his language development (as I tried consistently to only speak to him in Dutch). Due to all sorts of factors, I eventually gave up. Luke, our second child, actually had an interest, and he has a basic understanding. Talking is a different thing altogether and with covid hitting we couldn't visit family in The Netherlands anymore for a long time. This all had an detrimental effect. He learns German and French now at school which are FAR more useful languages to know. I honestly don't think you can properly learn a language unless you live there or both your parents speak it and you have a little community at home. So yes, it's a shame... I agree and something that does bother me but I'm also kind to myself appreciating what was realistic and what isn't. You choose your priorities in the limited time available to us all each day whilst still hopefully having a little fun in the process. Life is so full enough with 'must do's'. I haven't failed him or myself, I'm confident to know I'm always doing my best. But.... it's so easy for someone else to judge from the outside without appreciating or understanding the fuller picture. Vanessa (Luke's mum).
