How do we control the space between text frame and shape ? Meaning, when we introduce text frame in a shape, the text frame is set to default distance from shape. What if we want to increase / decrease the distance between frame and shape ? Thank you very much for your time and efforts.
once the text is inside the shape. select the shape from edge and go to OBJECT Menu > Convert to curve. Then click on text and go to OBJECT Menu > Break Text apart. Now text frame and outer shape is ungrouped. use Pick Tool to adjust as u like. if its a shape such as S . you can use Shape Tool and adjust the nodes. thanks Note: Perform Convert to curve if your text is in default shape such as polygon, star. If you created custom shape using Pen or any other drawing tool. In this case just click on text and Break Text apart.
@@YNTutor thank you very much. I am not sure whether this will help if I wanted to resize the shape and therefore the contained text frame - because they are no longer associated. Intention of my question is to have some fill to the shape. However the margin between shape and text frame is not appropriate. The default distance between shape and text frame, to me, is not aesthetic.
