Svetlana you are hilarious and I feel the same way about moss poles, not a fan either but the leaves are gorgeous when put on one. I love your makeup, it’s very natural and a great look for spring/ summer 🥰. Can’t wait to see your wedding vlog, it’s going to be amazing. Yeah, I think the plastic foil is protecting it from scratching ... we don't know how the plastic is beeing handled before it's getting to our homes so I can imagine some cicumstances make severe damage before it arrives. Also with many micro scratches the opacity wouldn't be garanteed anymore... Doesn't make a lot of sense on mosspoles but since the foil is coming before it's turned into a moss pole, it makes sense. I'm DIYing my moss poles with a plastic sheet that is protected on both sides... 😖
Personally I wouldn't have potted the dracaena yet but I want to move since March and didn't pot up 80% of my probs 'cause I didn't want to change their conditions too much... 11 more days, then I can tackle it after all the moving stress! 🤣
The bigger the moss pole, the easier it is to keep moist ~ so don't worry about it

A bit of advice for your poles, from experience I would put the top pole into the bottom pole instead of over it, not always but sometimes the water can run out of the cracks otherwise and it ends up going straight into the pot instead of wetting the bottom pole. Thanks for the video!

I’m not the biggest fan of moss poles, either. I have my monsteras on one pole and it’s time for an extension. The current pole is very crooked in the pot and needs to be straightened out first which means I need to replant and straighten it out before adding the second pole. Yikes 😱 I’m not looking forward to it either. I’ve got a root standing ip out of the current moss pile by 5 inches. Double yikes 😱 😱

When I have been gone for sometime I have ;put news print on bottom of tub and filled with water to soak leaving some access. In my location of US there is not news print therefore now use old towels . The shower with lip does as well. Make sure to leave a light on. This is for most needy plants. hugs

Hello from Puerto Rico!! I just started my English speaking channel. Would appreciate your support. Tip: Try folding the moss pole on the edges long-wise before adding the moss. You can also add the extension and backfill the moss from the top. Enjoy!!! 🙋🏼♀️🪴🌿 I water them by inverting a plastic bottle with water and make small holes on the cap. Love this system.

I am wondering if thst plant that you rescued and val it a dracena marginata is perhaps a ficus alli?
I own a dracena marginata and the leaves are a bit thinner. I then Googled the Ficus and it seems ( my opinion only) to look like what you have.

I'm still very new at moss poles, but I think it's a bit easier to crease the plastic where it's going to fold before I fill it with the moss. I feel like it makes it roll up less.
I mean, I make a mess either way, but that seems a little easier. A third hand would be best, but I haven't figured that out yet.
I'm not a huge fan of the moss poles though. The mess is just too much. I"m going to try putting a plant on a plank next. I hope that is easier. 🤣

Are you sure the Chamadorea palm can handle the light on the balcony without it's leaves burning? Take care to slowly adjust it to the much stronger natural light!
I keep it on the ground, so it's covered from direct su light for most of the day 😊
Of course it’s not ONE palm but masses of seedlings, so short-lived, cos overcrowded needing pricking out ! ✌️

Hi Svetlana, catching up on videos…another enjoyable one of course. The date is getting close…The anticipation is half the fun, all the chores, not so much so. All good! Oh, The last deep terra cotta pot is called a “ Long Tom”, I remember that because Tom is my son’s name. I gave up on moss poles after the first one. I just use a plank, the Monstera is happy. 🌿🪴 ps don’t need music, just distracts from your sweet mumblings! 😂
