Great video! Thanks for explanation
🌴Aloha PatrickHawaiiRealEstate! I'm glad you enjoyed the video.🥳
Where does th we State spend that money? Why does the Big Island have a below poverty level of 83% and this gets NO ATTENTION. Why don't the hotels have to pay A TOURIST TAX TO THE HAWAIIAN PEOPLE FOR USE OF THEIR LAND ABD THEY BRING IN BILLIONS OF DOLLARS YEARLY AND THE HAWAIIAN PEOPLE DO NOT GET A DIME???
I appreciate your feedback @user-mu5uz7vv5m! Is there anything you'd like to see more of in future real estate videos?🤯
So, as of 2022, there is a 4% Hawaii GE tax. Here on Big Island, we have an additional county surcharge rate of 0.50%. If we were to pass on this tax to our customers, we would charge 4.5% tax rate. If I got that right, what is the "Maximum pass-on rate"? On the Hawaii tax gov website, it states that the maximum pass on rate for county of Hawaii is 4.712%. That additional 0.212% is what is confusing us. What is that additional 0.212% for? Thanks for the video and your time. Mahalo!
🌴Aloha Keiki Cones! Do you live in the area? 🤔 The maximum pass-on rate for the County of Hawaii is indeed 4.712%, which includes the 4.5% tax rate, as well as an additional 0.212% that is used to fund the county's Mass Transit Agency.
I signed up for a general excise account when I did my tax returns at the start of the year as I occasionally did Doordash, Shipt, Instacart etc. for the business ID number. I do not earn much through this as I do not do this full-time. Do I still have to file GET for this as well?
Yes, if you have a general excise tax (GET) account in Hawaii, you are required to file GET returns for all business activities that are subject to the tax, even if you only earn a small amount. This includes income earned from delivery services such as Doordash, Shipt, and Instacart.
Ok if i selling items on selling platform online for example stockx or goat… they sell the item to some1 and the charge them sales tax for what ever state they are in… after i get my money from the online selling platform… after i deduct the cost of the item, is the state of Hawaii entitled to tax me on my profit with another 4% HAWAII GET Tax? Even those item was sold and there charge for the state they live sales tax?
🌴Aloha Rex! The state of Hawaii has its own tax laws and regulations, including the General Excise Tax (GET), which is a tax on business activity in the state. As a seller in Hawaii, you may be required to register for a get license and pay on your business activity, including sales made through online platforms.
What's the difference between a punch or a slap who cares they both hurt.
🌴Aloha Gov! Thank you for watching!🙌🙌🙌
I have a GE right now..... can I get a LLC too??
