hahahaha I had to laugh when he said that. As long as it's not at Taco Bell I love me some white people tacos too. I love authentic Mexican too. I'm actually allergic to cilantro though so as much as I do like pico de gallo on stuff I can't have it. Don't like cilantro by itself though. I'm one of those people that cilantro taste like soap. I tried to make myself like it for awhile cause all my friends loved it, but then I discovered that I was also allergic to it.

When you called out a certain nephew of yours, I was instantly a fan of yours!!! You and Rob are a breath of fresh air. I have also done that trip up the California coast line and we stopped at the Hearst Castle as well. What an amazing place! I will never forget it.
Tony looks so much better. My little yogie got his haircut and toenails trimmed every seven weeks. They are kind of high maintenance but worth every penny ❤ enjoy your cooking and stories.
I love Hearst Castle as well Tina. Visit the castle twice. However, the first time I visited Hearst Castle in the mid to late 1990s there was a rare event happening. The outdoor swimming is always full for visitors to see but on that day the pool was completely drain. The pool was even more spectacular as when it was filled with water. To my knowledge, the pool havem't been empty since.

My husband grew up in the Bay Area. Love the area when we visited. We go up to Pine Lake just out the West Entrance to Yosemite. My BIL loved volunteering he was lock master of the Rock’s cell locks, he painted the SF Bridge.
The Golden Gate Bridge, the Redwood Trees, Chinese Tea Gardens, Lombard Street, Cable Cars, Fisherman’s Wharf, the Eucalyptus Trees…the flower and vegetable gardens one the way to the south …I love San Francisco!
Tony is so cute! I love the 7 layer dip! I don't know if you know, but I buy my avocados bright green... they are cheaper like that and all you have to do is put them in a brown paper bag in a cabinet for a few days to ripen to perfection, and the bonus is that the seeds stay small and you end up with more of the avocado meat and they never have the bruises that you can find in the ones you buy already ripe. Someone shared that with me a few years ago so I thought I'd share it with y'all 😊
I lived on Treasure Island husband was in navy this was 1974 and 75. Was a great place to live, San Francisco was so beautiful at that time. We could see Alcatraz from our front door. Good luck.

My roommate at university used to make mushroom chicken like you do; the only difference was she added sour cream with the cream of mushroom soup and used seasoned salt and pepper on the raw chicken. Yummy!

You should plant the avocado seeds in containers and pass them out to your family..😊 I do that here in South Florida, I give them to friends and family.

I love going to Tyler to see the roses and the azalea trail in the spring, that's beautiful too. They also have a really nice little zoo. And if you plan you can drive to First Monday Canton Trade Days too. That alone is a full 2-3 day event. Tyler is a city worth visiting for sure and hope y'all enjoy your trip. I know Lester and Jami have been having a horrible time at the LHL ranch with losing the land with erosion, and so much flooding ,that there is a high risk of the pond and bridge may collapse. Yes we flew to California for a week one time and it was one busy week! We did do Alcatraz, Hearst Castle and that should be more than one day but we only one day, we seen the Winston House, Yesomite National Park, drove PCH 1 flo awhile, visited Clint Eastwood resturant in Carmel, San Francisco with the trolly cars and all that goes with that! We went over The Golden Gate Bridge and to me it was not golden color at all. It was more of a rust color and the toll you have to pay on that bridge especially if you had to do it everyday/?!?! The prices of everything was so high and not a little high but really outrageous and this was before Covid. The traffic….I REFUSED TO DRIVE IN IT AND MADE MY SISTER! She like driving in a speedway every time you wanted to go somewhere!!! It was a beautiful vacation!! It is just the difference of growing up in the country and growing in the city! I prefer the country. But if you heard It’s a nice place to visit bit I wouldn’t want to live their….they may be talking about California!!!
None of the stems come off cilantro. All the chefs use ALL the stems. They all say that the stems have the most flavor. I agree!
