Great cover! Everyone plays this wrong prob due to all the published notations being wrong. The single note run actually starts with G not G#/Ab. You can see this on every live video Les plays. But honestly no one can tell and it still sounds awesome.
If you listen to les playing it in the studio version he starts that sequence with G# and then next time he goes to G. The people playing it with G# are just playing it the studio way
