I just finished Zen's route yesterday and is currently on 707's and I am just absolutely devastated by the reset. It's a little sad to be so much more invested in fictional characters than people irl, but Cheritz really did a good job in the creation of this otome game.

Nope, that's the whole idea of the song--that Evan is using this as an excuse to tell Zoe how he actually feels about her, by pretending it's Connor (her brother's) words, because the former is unable to just outright tell Zoe how he feels since they are basically strangers in school, Zoe is popular, while Evan is a loner. Hence the 'but we're a million worlds apart.'
