You can take advantage of the BTC Boom for a maximum of 1.5 years. And as I've been saying, super profitable mining ended ETH, let's be honest, we miners are crazy, as we could be earning a lot more by investing in BTC but, like me, most of them mine because they are fans.
Mining is just a hobby for me I love everything about mining but I am realistic and know that profitable mining for common people(CPU/GPU) has killed ETH.
If we take into account the energy cost, in many cases we have losses, so we need to have an extremely low energy cost to have a profit margin.
So we need to mine in countries with low energy costs or make another investment in our own energy generation, be it Solar Wind, etc... Increasing our costs even further.
I still mine but it's my hobby because I love what I do but I know I could be earning a lot more just by investing my capital in BTC-ETH-Solana etc.. Buying crypto on the bearmarket and selling on the Bullmarket.
Cpu mining is never profitable
sadly the price value has tanked now because of it,
I stopped mining ALPH back in December. Moved on to Kaspa forks as a 60 plus gpu miner; kept mining those which were very close in price to KAS and buying KAS at parity lol. Not sure how it made sense to buy the KAS asics.
One day after the Al-box goes on sale and sells out...the hashrate blows up. The initial profitability numbers get cut in half. ONE DAY after. Tell me that wasn't planned!

well you can try solo mining, but it is a gamble and longer you play, the worse the situation is...
Belay my last, you obviously know about it lol. But that particular miner has had at least 10 rigs on Herominers at the same hashrate for each worker for about a month now. Could be Goldshell running 4x AL Boxes or maybe an AL lite version they're testing. Dunno though
From CPU side, RandomX has been ASIC-resistant.
From GPU side, KawPow seems to be ASIC-resistant (for the time being).
It seems like any algorithm not implementing complex random code execution is bound to get crushed by ASICs.
ALPH uses blake3 and was always intended to be asic friendly.

Well alephium was great for people to become rich scheme. Don;t expect to make much moving forward unless you have the first asic batch. Aferwards i do hope it won;t become kadena, or kaspa when your asics won;t even ROI and/or break down sooner because of goldshell quality. Big respect for people who made a buck on it. But I personally I am invested into different projects, so alephium loss doesn't feel for me, but it was very popular among youtubers, now it will be less popular for newcomers. Alephium train has moved - no jumping in right now unless you gonna hold it till next bullmarket (5 years). To stay on bright side wow other projects will start blooming soon, alephium is not only project out there. If you are a small guy like I am, would check what inodez is investing to, I think those coins have huge potential and they released 2 new ones.
You obviously do not know what alephium team have actually achieved here. It's better than any top 10 crypto.

@@SteelCyclone1 NVidia has 2 legs for business. Gaming and datacenters. Low current rations. There could be problems to pay off short-term obligations as same time high operative costs. Previously mining took care that single miner bought 20-30 graphic cards all money were incoming from doors and windows. This flow is now saturated and cards overpriced comparing to competition. Lot of money is spent every day and same time incoming flow goes down in accelerating speed until AI business is big enough… but not yet

But in my honest observation and opinion, I think Nvidia nerfed the VRAM bus on their 40-series cards because of eth mining.
