    I need this, but as a rear fog lamp. The PNW fog can get pretty dense.

    Is it safe to install on a plastic bumper? My bumper is plastic not metal.

    Should make dedicated plug and play tail light harness

      We do for the 10+ 4Runner and 05+ Tacoma. We hope to develop more for other vehicles down the road!

      @@diodedynamics u buy it separately from the kit ? And I have Tacoma so we r good :)

      @@trevorschroeder6745 We would just go with the kit then! We don't offer it separately from the kit at this time, but if you shoot us an email, (contact@diodedynamics.com) we can look into just getting the harness.

    Does it have to be wired to a relay or could it just be tapped in to the reverse and tail light?

    • @diodedynamics
      @diodedynamics  2 роки тому +2

      We would definitely, recommend having it on a relayed wiring harness.

    • @johnpelkey1375
      @johnpelkey1375 2 роки тому

      @@diodedynamics I guess I could relay it at or near the tail light and not worry about running a switch.

      @@diodedynamics Yes, after reading your comment I thought about it and you’re right, it will need to have full power from the battery. I will be reaching out as I have a few other questions in regards to a couple other things. Thank you

    Instead of a red running light, could this be wired as an additional brake light?

    • @gold94chica
      @gold94chica 2 роки тому +1

      If you tap it to the brake light wire, yes. But it wouldn't be any brighter than the back light, which is not bright enough to match the brake light application.

      @@gold94chica This is correct!

      @@diodedynamics It would be pretty cool though if it were possible to have a pod with red or amber/orange LEDs instead of white, for the purpose of brake lights, turn signals, and emergency flashers! If you wanted to expand into that market at some point. I could see a lot of people interested in that!
