    Incorporate Head Off The Center Line in the majority of your attacks. It will save you many punches to the face.
    And to continue upping your defense skills be sure to work your way through my online courses strikereadycombat.com/holiday-deal/

    I learn so much from your videos. Thanks Gabriel! Glad you won your last fight. The elbows were murderous!

    I can 100% relate to this being true because I have tried it in my case. But because I prefer the dutch guard more and less slipping, I use it less but iy can be very useful in a must to enter within range situations for shorter and more explosive or fastee fighters in my opinion. Gold stuff Gabriel! 🥊🥊

      Fair comment, but I must ask: do you use small gloves with Dutch guard though?

      @@nicksalvatore5717 Yeah, but not the classic dutch guard, a bit of the mix of the Petr Yan style guard with Russian Style Catching.

    Would a stance like Joe Louis work in kickboxing/ point fighting?

    • @jacopo.dainotto
      @jacopo.dainotto 2 дні тому +1

      Billy Conn's style would be more successful, I reckon

      @jacopo.dainotto Just watched Joe Louis vs Billy Coon. Great fighters. What about Marlon Starling or Bernard Hopkins? B Hop fought out of a bladed stance at times.

    Can you talk about if you were shown that there were levels to this fighting game what fighting agency helped you understand that?

  • @eddard9442
    @eddard9442 2 дні тому

    Correct me if I am wrong but I have heard reaction doesn't really work unless your opponent is slower than you are and also has poor timing. Someone who is slower but with excellent timing may still land on you before you can slip, dodge, roll etc. My experiences in sparring backs up this belief.

    • @DubiousDubs
      @DubiousDubs 2 дні тому +2

      Reacting here is a non literal term. What he means is he was being defensive and trying to use specifically predictive defense.
      It didn't work cuz the other dude fights a little wonky and was throwing things weird, thus messing with the prediction part of predictive defense.

    • @user-he4ef9br7z
      @user-he4ef9br7z 8 годин тому

      You are confused. Yes, timing and predictions are more important than reacting but reacting is also an important component of fighting.
