I'd crab that dock with my parents 50 years ago AT NIGHT. We'd be out there with our flashlights till 11 or 12. The place was always crowded. As a matter of fact, the night they walked on the moon (July 1969) I was crabbing on that dock!
Wow! Such a historical night of crabbing for you🥰.This dock has been there for that long😊? Well it was still crowded when we went, but still a nice place, we never tried it at night though. Thanks for watching!
I didnt know thia place was free. I always go to the 5th ave. peir in Seaside Park and by 10oclock they start charging and I think its like $10. Anyways nice video🤗
Wow! You did great! We haven’t been that lucky and hasn’t been catching a lot lately. $160 is quite steep, but I guess the crabs are in deeper waters now. We need a boat he..he..😊
You went there too early 😅. I grew up on that dock and the crabbing isn't good until late August into the fall. September and October were the best months and some years we got crabs right before Thanksgiving. There use to be street light on the dock and we would go night crabbing. No bait needed as we just scoop them as they swam by. To the left of the dock was little bay beach and it had a life guard. Dockfitters was just little shack with a bait shop and little burger shack. You had it right when you said a keeper in 3 months 😅. Try again in the fall. Don't forget your rod. The left end was awesome for sapper bluefish when the tide was moving.
@@Bobfromjersey253 Wow! Thank you so much for the great info! We were hoping some old time crabber would impart that tip long time ago, well here it is. Thank you! We’ll go back again and give it a try. It would have been such a view to see that place in it’s earlier days. That would have been great on film😊. Have a wonderful weekend🥰🦀!
So ingat, make sure tama ang sukat🦀
It’s a nice spot, but yeah on this day we didn’t catch any keepers and no bites while fishing. We checked our fellow crabbers and only one had a keeper. No crab dinner that night😊.
Yes, legal catch in NJ must be 4.5 inches from tip to tip of the spine (carapace). You are not allowed to keep females if they have eggs. You can only keep 1 bushel of crabs per day. No license needed for personal consumption ( recreational crabbing ). Depending on the county you visit, they might charge you a fee for use of their pier or dock. Good luck😊 Happy crabbing🦀!

@thandastones888 your video brought back a lot of memories. All your videos of Toms River Beachwood and Brick. Do you ever crab on LBI?
@@Bobfromjersey253 Thank you🥰! No, we haven’t tried Long Beach Island yet.
So cute dog

Ate, kung ang park ranger ba mag show-up at nag inspect, magmomolta ba in case may nakita sila sa balde na maliit ang size?

Tom's river west end ave NJ is that place is free?
No. You have to pay $10 dollars per adult to use the pier. There’s a person that goes around to collect the fee.
@@thandastones888 how about pine pier? Or VISTA park around there same $10?
@@看透人生 yes, it’s the same, $10 per adult. I’m sorry, I’m not familiar with Vista Park. Thanks. 😊

Hi there my friend! Thanks for watching. 😊
Park rangers aren’t around enough. I’ve seen more folks/out of towners keeping shorts
@@Nunyabusiness180 Yes☹️, We see them too. Especially in remote areas, the rangers barely go to these places. There’s just too much area to cover.
Wow.. you dont see this in mass
Yeah😊pretty cool.
Bawi na lang next week❤️❤️❤️❤️
Onga, sana nga suwertehin next time.😊 Salamat.🥰
