So fun, Trish!! Thanks. For sharing!! The spinning wheel you won at the auction was awesome!! Love that yarn too. Looked like a raspberry swirl something! ❤
Wow what a great festival…I have never been to one! I’m glad you went with the intention of soaking up the vibe and fun … you deserve to have a great time! Thanks for showing me what the festival had to offer and the gorgeous animals!
I am so so so happy you got to go! I did a little happy dance. Your hair looks beautiful wavy like that! Of COURSE I want to hang out more. I can’t fold the state in half, so TikTok it is. 😂 I really like the Rhinebeck souvenir art this year, I didn’t know Joanna had a UA-cam channel! Going to go follow it. You could name your new wheel Phyllis. As in Diller. Because she’s had a little work done. 😅 Finally, I kept looking at the Flint City Fiber batt in your spinning stash (behind you during your recap) and I can NOT remember making that colorway!! 😂😂😂😂 I thought I’d remember all of them forever. But nope!
Seeing the animals would be my first go to at an event like that. Loved seeing your adventures there and your great purchases! What lucky Tribers who were able to meet you in person.
Haha!!! I will bet I sent you to 1,000 on TikTok! I never ever ever used my TikTok account but started following you that day! You are literally the only reason I waded into the TikTok world. Woohoo!
Yeah...it did look a bit gloomy. Ohhhhh, I LOVE the fishy. That's one of those..."awe, I want one" LOL. Nice shirts. The sheep are always adorbs right? That's a really interesting looking wheel, nice purchase. Good to hear you had a good time.
Omg Trish thank you!! I went last year and my favorite part was the animals! Oh and I was soo curious about the auction. I am so happy for you to have gone!
I wish I would have run into you there! It was my first time going and I’m glad videos like yours prepared me for the volume of people. I I had no expectations and it was SO fun being around all those fiber-y people in one place!
Thanx for sharing your experience. I have to say I probably would have made it to the sheep barn and no further. I can listen to Baa Baa Baa all day, there’s something soothing about it for me ❤
That looked so fun. I’ve never seen a wheel like that before, will be interesting to see how it works. Dandelion girl, that was a long drive by yourself!
What an interesting wheel! My son was obsessed with my spinning wheel when I 1st started spinning. A wheel like that would be great if you have little ones who want to spin with you.
So glad you had a great time. Love the wheel you acquired. Cannot wait to see your videos getting your new wheel ready. I have been going for over 20 years. I live just over an hour from Rhinebeck. I always go on Sat. Last year I said I am going on Sunday. Way too crowded on Sat. Sunday was perfect. I was not going to buy a fleece but I ended up with 3 lbs of Shetland. Watched your video on Sheltland fleece and preparation. Excited to dive in. Thank you for your videos 😊
Must've missed this, but glad to have caught up. I love the new wheel and I've never seen anything like it and was so confused when you said spinning two handed.....😲 really looking forward to a video about it 👍 Oh and the 🐑 ❤️
I just discovered you! Fun video, I think I want to go to Rhineback some day… I’m on the east coast of Michigan. I have a beautiful spinning wheel that I haven’t learned to use yet😮 it’s pretty sitting there , but I bet she would like to be used. I named her Sandy after the lady I bought her from. I’m going to check out all your videos, I just subscribed 😍
wow, I haven't seen a double flyer in ages! They take some getting used to, but were wonderful for production spinning. There are still videos about this here on youtube. Just research "double flyer spinning wheel." My aunt had one, with a water cup at the base of the distaff. Quite handy that!
So much fun, Trish! I have seen those double handed wheels before, also as a flax wheel. I guess people really used to spin lots to make enough money! I am in awe of the skill those women had. I cannot even contemplate spinning two handed. I loooove your idea of using it as a teaching wheel, and I wish I lived closer by, spinning that wheel with a friend just sounds like the cosies thing in the world. Glad you had such a good time!
Thanks for the lovely videos. I really want to try and find a fiber festival next year! They look like so much fun. It’s a good thing wheels are hard to find down south or I would probably have a room full 😂
I was at Rhinebeck Sunday, didn't buy much. However, I did get a small mohair fleece & started cleaning it today. I'm so excited to start working with it. I don't know what I will make yet.
Trish, never been to Rheinbeck. You sure had a long drive. Hope you stayed over and didn’t drive it all in one day. Can’t wait to see you demo your new wheel.
I went last year and decided to go to SAFF this year. I sure did miss going to Rhinebeck this year even with your wet weather. I am glad you enjoyed it so!
So much fun! All the beauty you were surrounded by. The gift of hand spun and the shirts and I squeed over the ornament. I love fish. Oh, the wheel is very interesting. Thank you for sharing with us.
I love seeing the different vendor booths at the fiber festivals. Do you go to any other fiber festivals. I've never been to the Michigan Fiber Festival. I love watching your videos but cannot seem to find the facebook fiber tribe group anymore. It comes up 'broken link' but maybe I got booted. It's winter, I'm indoors more and delving back into the fiber hoard. Love watching your videos. Keep up the good work. I'm in NW Ohio...
@trish, I don't know where else to stick this comment, lol. But just found out next year's TdF starts JUNE 29th, so we need to pay attention to the early start - in ITALY!!!!! Whoop!
I couldn't go this year. I had to hostess at my weaving guild with a friend on Saturday and I always figure it's better to be there the first day. Glad you had fun, even though the weather was crummy.
I was there from about 11-2 on Saturday. I wish I had seen you there. I tried the majacraft wheels at the Whispering Pines booth. I tried the Hansen e wheel, the Woolee Ann e spinner and the eel wheel. I also tried a Kromski Sonata. Congratulations on your purchase.
Hey!! Un-pictured Jessica here 😂 so glad I was a weirdo and waived at you! Can’t wait to see your new wheel in action. Glad you had a great time and hopefully I get to wave at you again at the next one 🎉
You were not word at all, you were delightful. I just felt like a sweaty weirdo hauling that heavy wheel around not sure where my car was 🤣. I do wish I had gotten a photo with you. Hopefully next year!
@@FiberLoveDiary it sounds like we both just wanted to soak it all in this year! I tried not to stress about anything but the educational/time sensitive events this year (fleece sale/auction) and honestly I have no regrets! Our paths will cross someday, I’m sure of it!
The wheel!!!! What's her name? I feel like something old fashioned would be appropriate like Anastasia or Clementine... Congrats on 1000 TikTok followers and of course people are going to want more time with you, because you are awesome and we love you!!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
thinking of looking up the closest airport to you. I would love to sit side by side and spin. it's down the road a bit, but think about it. a few people over for an afternoon spinning and then somewhere fun for dinner then send us off to our hotel rooms.
Trish, I seriously though the “big” item you bought was sheep #2307 🥰 😂 I will admit that I was a little disappointed when it wasn’t 😋 no offence to to beautiful wheel though!
I can't belleve you drove 12-13 hours EACH way for one day at a festival! And so little purchasing?? You are committed! (or should be!) ;-). The wheel, however, is quite the find!
Whooooo and I thought I was addicted to fiber...13 hours drive???? ❤ Waybto go. Hope you enjoy everything you got from the fiber festival.
Thank you for your happiness. 😘
Gorgeous gifted handspun! You have great ideas of showing your restoration and learning process with your wheel. Can't wait to watch
I love going to show and seeing the sheep. Have fun with your new spinning wheel.
It was so great to meet you, Trish! Love the new wheel!
I’m glad you had such a great time. Thanks for sharing your trip with us!
What fun! And to meet so many friends and sheep, too!
So fun, Trish!! Thanks. For sharing!! The spinning wheel you won at the auction was awesome!! Love that yarn too. Looked like a raspberry swirl something! ❤
I'm glad you had a great time. That yarn is very pretty.
I hardly ever comment, but your videos are so great to craft to. I had to chime in and say that I think the color looks GORGEOUS on you.
That was a great price on an antique wheel! It's gorgeous. Congratulations 🎊 on it. Can't wait till we see you spinning on it.
I'm so glad you had an awesome adventure at NY sheep and wool.
Wow what a great festival…I have never been to one!
I’m glad you went with the intention of soaking up the vibe and fun … you deserve to have a great time! Thanks for showing me what the festival had to offer and the gorgeous animals!
Thank you for sharing Trish! Even in the rain it looked like an awesome festival!
That would be fun.....the gossip wheel. Yes, that was a long drive! Lots of fun!
I am so so so happy you got to go! I did a little happy dance.
Your hair looks beautiful wavy like that!

from Gerry- Yes, the sheep were so special. Never been to Rhinebeck but the vibe seemed amazing. Glad you shared. Blessings.
Sorry I missed you there. It was a great show! It’s like a museum of sweaters. That was the best part.
Seeing the animals would be my first go to at an event like that. Loved seeing your adventures there and your great purchases! What lucky Tribers who were able to meet you in person.
Looks like so much fun, I want to snuggle all the sheep ❤❤❤
I’m so glad you were able to make the trip and it was such a delightful surprise to run into you!
I'm glad you had a great time Trish!
Oooooo, I saw that sneaky little scritchy short you posted, I didn't dream it!
"Wool drunk"! My new favorite term.
I can't wait to see you try that new wheel!
Haha!!! I will bet I sent you to 1,000 on TikTok! I never ever ever used my TikTok account but started following you that day! You are literally the only reason I waded into the TikTok world. Woohoo!
Thanks for sharing your footage! Love the cool wheel! Will be fun to use.
Nice you were able to make it to Rhinebeck and enjoy your time there. That antique wheel is an interesting find!
Looks like you had a lot of fun! Can’t wait to see what you do with your new wheel
I wish I could get to a show like that, it looks really interesting and I would love meeting the sheep and other critters.

I think you’re amazing! Why the heck wouldn’t we include you in the same category as Jillian Moreno?! You both have awesome superpowers ❤❤
I really liked their logo this year.
It’s so interesting how animals KNOW when they look good! Such a fun experience; thank you for taking us along.

This looks amazing!!!!
Epic teaching wheel!
Glad you had a good time!
Love the woolies
The new wheel is beautiful. Id never learn to spin with it though😆
What a cool wheel.

I was hoping you would put that cute sheep in the car!❤

Welcome! I hope to get back to Rhinebeck next year, but we'll see! There is a five party beginner spinning on a wheel series in my spinning Playlist
I am glad you had fun! What a drive! I trust you spent 1 night in a hotel! I am not sure I would want to be in such a crowd 😅
Looks like I’ll be putting this on my calendar for next year!!
Oh the shirt is awesome
I just had to put my wheel into storage so I'm sitting here using one of my drop spindles while I watch this.
Wow! Love the wheel you bought!

Interesting wheel you found. Love to see how it works.
Awww looks like a blast. Those sheepies were soo cute!
weren't they though??!

Awwww

I'm never going to get to Rhinebeck but it was really fun experiencing it through your eyes and to see how much joy it gave you!
I was at Rhinebeck Sunday, didn't buy much. However, I did get a small mohair fleece & started cleaning it today. I'm so excited to start working with it. I don't know what I will make yet.
Trish, more time with you is always great! I loved seeing the sheep and hearing the auctioneer. The gossip wheel is a treasure!
Thanks for sharing your trip and acquisitions. Only way I’ll see it as I don’t like crowds and waiting.
Thanks for sharing...most likely will NEVER get there but so great to see

Cute wheel!
I thought maybe you bought the drum carder I saw 😂
This was the best surprise to enjoy on our 21-hour long road trip! Thank you, Trish, for sharing!!
Congrats for the 1K on TT 🎉
I couldn't go this year. I had to hostess at my weaving guild with a friend on Saturday and I always figure it's better to be there the first day. Glad you had fun, even though the weather was crummy.
I would love to go someday!
We drove from Sault Ste. Marie Ontario 😅 Long drive indeed!
I need to try to go next year! I’m a west coast Navy reservist and I’m attached to a command in Rhode Island. A short 3 1/2 hour drive to Rhinebeck!
I loved those sheep. Looks like you had a great time, so pleased for you.
I was there from about 11-2 on Saturday. I wish I had seen you there. I tried the majacraft wheels at the Whispering Pines booth. I tried the Hansen e wheel, the Woolee Ann e spinner and the eel wheel. I also tried a Kromski Sonata. Congratulations on your purchase.

haha - sweaty weirdo is the space I live in most of the time so it was perfect and magical 😂@@FiberLoveDiary
Someday I might get out to Rhinebeck.
Oh my gosh Trish we just missed each other! I am the man in the red boots with the backpack right as you entered the auction! Small world!
Whatttt? I had my eyes open for you but I missed you completely!

Omg, I'm on the "west coast" of mi too! In that town with the wooden shoes and the big red lighthouse, 😂
That's exactly where we moved here from. I lived in that town for 24 years
Were the eyes of the first sheep hairless???? That was such a cool effect. What breed was he?
Trish, I seriously though the “big” item you bought was sheep #2307 🥰 😂 I will admit that I was a little disappointed when it wasn’t 😋 no offence to to beautiful wheel though!

What are you going to name your new wheel???? She is so cute!
Maybe the new wheel is a bit much, but you probably get less commands or complaints than if you would brought home the cute sheep😂
Congratulations on your tik tok followers!!
