Can’t wait for practice week. True grit, these blokes. Time passes, grit remains. Utterly spellbinding, every time. Never gets ordinary. It’s always extraordinary.
I never appreciated it til I went this year. The way these guys jockey the bikes around the course is astounding and the memories of my week there give me nothing but admiration and respect foe EVERY pilot that does a successful lap. Looking forward to my next visit now 😉

"Warm one today boys" as they stop five feet short of a massive tree. Still mightily impressive and after seeing them come through Kirk Michael on that very lap, they were visibly much quicker than everyone else

Among the many remarkable things of the TT, the fact that so few sidecar rigs exist makes the one we’re watching unique. Hand made by & for these two men, optimised for this course. Is there greater focus & uncompromising effort in motorsport? Maybe equalled at Le Mans?

Seeing sidecars from TV coverage itself were amazing, but the onboard one like this is unreal. Mad respect for the sidecar riders, true crackheads that runs on nothing but pure instinct and adrenaline.

I would have enjoyed being a sidecar co-pilot, I easily understand the job and enjoy climbing, so monkeying back and forth in the sidecar would suit me. But my 6'3" broad frame says otherwise 😢
How does the "rider" know what do, and when to do it?
I'm guessing u mean the swinger, and it comes from years of doing it, knowing the track and having full trust in the rider
