I'm from Chicago... And I've never heard of the Jim Shoe!..and from the list of the fixings in it...I wouldn't want one either! Give me an Italian beef or a beef and Italian sausage combo...and I'm good to go! And the same with a corned beef and pastrami sandwich!
Dude, I felt the same …until I tasted it. If you watched the whole thing, you saw our opinions change. I’m an Italian beef guy, too, but this thing is amazing! I highly recommend you try it!
This is Fun with flags, but with sandwiches in 2024. I love it
Live in the Chicagoland area for 50 yrs. Not alone have I never had one, I’ve never even heard of this sandwich!!
She is adorable! "They're fucking awesome!"
Portillo's for Italian beef and sausage sandwiches
And if the place is still there on Jefferson Street...
Manny's Deli!
Portillo's is Tony's default, however the recent trip to Al's just broadened his horizons a bit.
This sounds like a sammy that will go down great on a cold Chi nite!

In the book we reference in every episode, and in the sub shop we visited, it’s spelled “Jim Shoe.”
Thank you for watching.
It must be incredible if you ate a beef sandwich!
She went back in the middle of the following week to get another one!
People from the Middle East did not invent that sandwich. Best sandwich comes from the black community.
