About Story : Once upon a time, in a village in Kashmir, a poor couple lived in a humble house. By the grace of God, they had a baby boy. Tragically, the mother died due to illness. The father, who was very poor, did not want his son to face the hardships of poverty. He decided to give his newborn son to a wealthy merchant. One night, he left the baby in the merchant’s lawn without anyone noticing.
The next day, when the merchant woke up, he was astonished to find the newborn child in his lawn. Overjoyed, he believed that God had blessed him with a son. He provided the boy with a good education and taught him all the intricacies of business.
One day, the merchant was preparing for a journey, and his son asked where they were going. The merchant replied that he would find out soon and that he was coming along. They embarked on a long journey with a caravan of horses and camels and other people. Finally, they arrived at a remote desert temple and decided to stay there.
Curious, the son asked his father why they were in this desolate place. The merchant, exhausted, told him they would talk in the morning. During the night, the son woke up and tried to rouse his father, but he was unresponsive. Upon closer inspection, he realized his father had passed away. Heartbroken, he began to cry. A servant appeared and instructed him to leave the room so that he could bury his father there. Angered, the son refused, but the servant explained that the temple was the family graveyard, where his father’s last five generations had been buried.
Honoring his father's wishes, the son bathed his father's body and buried him in the temple. The servant informed him that according to tradition, he could not leave the temple for six months. Isolated and lonely, the son walked around the area every day to pass the time.
One night, he woke to find his room filled with light and a figure with a long white beard standing before him. It was his great-grandfather, who told him he was pleased to see his seventh generation. He gave him a book, instructing him to use it whenever he needed guidance.
The next day, the son found the book in a cupboard. The first thing he asked was when he would die. The book revealed that he would know the day before his death. As he explored his ancestors' history, he discovered they were not good people.
One day, during a walk, he ventured to a mountain peak where he found a beautiful girl living in a poor hut. Impressed by her beauty, he asked for a drink of water. She offered him a refreshing drink, and he fell asleep. When he woke up, he saw the girl massaging his feet.
He asked her why she was alone. She explained that her mother had recently died, and she now lived alone. Moved by her story, he took her to the temple and decided to marry her. However, within days, he began to feel weak and ill.
Suspicious, he consulted the book, which revealed that the beautiful girl was actually a witch draining his blood at night. Shocked, he hid in a cupboard one night and placed a dummy on the bed. When the witch came to suck his blood, she revealed her true form. As dawn approached, the cock crowed, and she hurried back to her room.
The next day, he noticed two small holes in his neck. When the girl brought him tea, he asked her to fetch water from the kitchen. While she was away, he poured poison into her cup. Upon her return, she drank her tea and soon began to shiver and vomit, transforming into her true, hideous form. Seizing the moment, the merchant’s son cut off her head with a sword, freeing himself from the dangerous witch.
