What a delightful card! I'm sure Charlie will love it. The view from your craft room window is gorgeous! Have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks Sheryl ❤️ hope you have a great weekend too
Lavinia stamps do fabulous low tack tape Carrie.
Lovely card!
Thanks Lesley I will check that out. It will be an excuse to order a couple of new Stamps 😁
Wow! What a fantastic view you have ( and a beautiful garden )😊
Another lovely vibrant card.
Thank you 💕 have a great weekend
Lovely card. I use Posi-it notes or flags or washi tape to hold dies down 😊
Thanks Colleen. I will definitely give the post it notes a go. Others also mentioned them and I always have them at hand too. Have a great day .
Hi Carrie, loved watching you make this. I always use Scotch tape, the removable one, it’s in a blue box. I’ve not had it tear anything and you can use the same piece loads of time. Hope this helps. With the tape you have, put it on your clothes to unsticky it a bit. I hate the purple tape because it does what yours did. xxxx
Thanks so much Marlene. I definitely need to try something different so thanks I will get the scotch tape. I do rub it off my arms etc but sometimes forget if I'm honest. It doesn't seem very low tack so I need to get something else.
I agree that removable scotch tape is fab and doesn't tear your paper or card x
Adorable card, Carrie! Once again I love those colors!
I had to look up the Galtee Mountains...such a beautiful view you have! My hubby is a farmer, so we live in the country, too. Our views include rolling hills similar to yours with fields of corn and soybeans. I love our landscape. I grew up in northern Iowa where the landscape is fairly flat. After I moved down to southwest Iowa, I fell in love with the area. Then I married a farmer and get to be blessed with our beautiful country.
As for the low tack tape issue, have you tried putting it on your hand like you did the scotch tape? I personally only use washi tape for my use. I do put it on my hand a few times when I tear a new piece off. Maybe try that with your supposed low tack tape?
Thanks Dee. Yes there is nothing like the countryside. I love it also. I grew up in Manchester, England so that was a huge change for me. My husband also came from a farming background and has never lived in a city. It makes me smile when I look out even after all these years. I do have to use the tape on my skin first but annoying when it says low tack. Thanks for your suggestion though and maybe I should get some washing tape to try. 👍

I use POST IT to secure dies ... they don't tear my cardstock... Greetings from Peru!
Oh thanks Charleen. Great idea and I always have post it's. Brilliant 👏 👍👍👍
@@CarrieKirbyCreates You are very welcome! ❤
Such a disappointment with the scissors.. I hate it when a craft tool is supposed to do something and doesn't, drat! Loved the card and hoped the ink would dry on your acetate as it was a great idea and sometimes mistakes make a card great. I hope Charlie loves his card as you did a magnificent job with it!
Thanks so much Sandy 💕 Yes it is a shame about the scissors as it was a big investment for me. It is a lovely one to cut with though and I will still get lots of use but wish it were non stick. Hope you and Rich have a great weekend.
@@CarrieKirbyCreates We're going to the lake..how about you? Doing anything fun this weekend?
We were in Cork today , just a day trip on the train and a nosey around the markets and town area. It was a lovely day away. John had a flexi day off. We have plans for some gardening over the weekend but that will depend on the weather. We have been putting in a new rockery but it's taking forever with all the rain we have had this summer . Enjoy the lake it should be nice and relaxing 🥰
@@CarrieKirbyCreates The weather here is so nice and the water so calm. I love days when the lake isn't choppy as it can be that way since it's so wide (30 miles across) and when the wind blows here, it's kind of scary as it's so intense, so good weather makes me happy. Sounds like you had a nice mini vacation. I wish we had trains like you have...here it's either cars or planes, as our train system isn't great.
Before using the “low-tack tape” stick it to your clothes or you arm (no lotion on your arm) like you did the scotch tape and then pull it off to help reduce the stick. I also agree with the scotch tape in the blue box too, but it’s kind of pricey in the US.
If you want to take a risk on the inside piece, you can try to have the tape overlap on the INSIDE of the square. Then when you remove the tape it will tear the INSIDE piece of the square frame and your outside piece should be safe.
I agree with you on the scissors. Very disappointed at all the stickiness that is left on them. I use “goo gone” to clean them off but have to be careful to clean THAT off so I don’t leave oil on future cuts.
For ink spots, if you can find a Tom Bow mono eraser at a good price, it can erase the ink, or use a paper sander block - I think mine might have come from the UK ironically.
Thanks for your advice Kathy 💕 have a lovely weekend
