Professor Lumumba, although I have only a couple of weeks heard of you and listening to your messages and speeches have realized my history. You are beyond amazing, I have much love and respect for Prof..Lumumba I don’t have the words to express how your speeches have impacted my mind and thinking. In order to truly appreciate a great man, you need to see if He's appreciated by his own people. I once read somewhere that a prophet is never accepted in his own land. When you read the comments on this video, It is ONLY the kenyans who are insulting this great mind. The rest of the entire continent of Africa and the greater world has grown to love and appreciate Professor PLO Lumumba and may he continue to grow stronger in order to inspire all of us, He is a true Jewel and blessing to us all.
How i wish i was there to listen to the political intelligence this man posses. PLO we thank you for the constant African education you always deliver to us through your speeches.
I Agree and it is in most of the time undermined, hence we lack it. So this man whenever he speaks he educates you about the African Politics, African Leadership, African Problems, African Socio economic Issues etc. Something our own colonized education does not teach us. I agree with you 100% when you say we need Action and the unfortunate part of that is we need Action from Politically hygiene, corruption free leaders of our society at large.
@ Edmond Motanya. If you PLO hasn't got a clue of the dynamics of South African politics that is why he has got nothing new, original or radical to add to the discourse. Goodness gracious the man can't even sloganise properly, when one says "Mayibuye.... iAfrica" x2 and the crowd responds, s/he must then turn around and say "iAfrica... Mayibuye" x2. And to refer to Lesotho as LesoTHO, for heavens sake the H is silent...one says LESUTU. I can bet you he refers to the people of Botswana as Botswanians as opposed to Tswanas. Bloody ignorant African. Whoever invited PLO to speak failed to vet him. This here PLO is nothing but charlatan. Not an original thought in sight. Trots out the same speech over and over again, the only difference is when he is in Ghana he will name check Nkurumah, in Tanzania he will name check Mwalimu and in South Africa he name checked the usual ANC suspects with the exception of Biko, Sobukwe and Tiro. Tiro was not ANC he was AZAPO. AZAPO and the PAC consisted of some the brilliant minds in the South African struggle. They were the backbone of the Black Consciousness Movement. Way back in the 60s and 70s they foretold of the malaise that would beset South Africa if the Revolutinary Movement did not uproot the status quo. Fact. In the 90s, the ANC sold out South Africans at CODESA. Those in the nous said so then and now they are being vindicated. PLOS speech has done nothing to improve the discourse as pertains South Africa then and South Africa now. If you are looking to be educated on African Politics, African Leadership, African Problems and African Socio Economic issues then I suggest you start by reading Steve Biko's 'I Write What I Like' and Thomas Sankara's 'Sankara Speaks'. Although these were written decades ago, the messages remain relevant to this day, for what ails Arica remains the same, then and now.
@Qiniso Truth. I appreciate the fact that you speak solution to a problem. Most of PLO's speeches are about corruption and the the true reality of Africa's shortfall, the malfunctions of the continent itself. I See his speeches as more of a moral consciousness tool, education to my Black African soul. @Qiniso Truth there is a saying that says there are two sides to a man, the bad and the good, all you can do is to take the good out of him. So i do not think its of good deed to discredit him based on his pronunciation the words you quoted above, i am sure you would agree with me if i say i would also struggle to pronounce most of East Africa indigenous words as oppose to my own in my Land. At Home here, Zulu can pronounce the name of the province i come from "Limpopo" so it is a deficiency we most suffer the point however is to get the massage across, so if a Zulu man come to me and say;"i want to go to Limpompo" my unconsciously without even rep reminding my mind i know his referring to my homeland. So Take the Good out of the man and leave the bad things to himself. With the good you will educate yourself. Lastly, Thank you very much for the African literature you have cited as recommendations, i do have Steve Biko's "I write what i like" i will look for Thomas Sankara's "Sankara Speaks".
one of my great leaders in africa...but what amazes me, is his memory of everything his is speaking about today, he even remembers the late tiros years etc...very intelligent of course
He is the most relevant and powerful man in our time, I have listened to many speeches about religion and politics, but this man is the real deal. You're like no one else 🙏👑😇
I was watching him live at our beautiful university of Limpopo, I salute this man n even his shadow. Prof PLO LUMUMBA is a pain killer always. what i have realised in life people who grew up with you will never praises you because of jealous
Wena Sazini Sibiya, jealousy has got nothing to do with it. To claim that Kenyans are averse to PLO because of envy is akin to saying that people don't like Zuma out of jealousy. You need to read up on the history of this man to understand why Kenyans are unimpressed with him. Very few Kenyans understand the Black Consciousness Movement or even comprehend that there were other parties such as PAC or AZAPO who played a huge role in shaping the struggle discourse in South Africa. I really don't think PLO even quite understands what Tiro and Azapo stood for. I don't know who thought it fit to ask him to speak on Ongkopotse Tiro, he is not fit to utter Tiro's name.
@sazini you nailed it .the problem specially with us Kenyans is jealousy .we hardly recognise our leaders .we only recognise a bunch of false leaders whose parents were accomplices and colonial collaborators and is these same so called leaders who head our political parties and own everything in kenya and indeed their assault dogs are the ones you see on this page villifying prof lumumba.
Hate him or love him, PLO's got what we all don't have, and that's the reason of why we are all on the other side of UA-cam, commenting and criticising... instead of being listened to by African scholars.
PPL is a true definition of an African child on an African soil,he speaks with authority and from an informed point of view. LONG LIVE AFRICAN UNITY AWAITS US.
There are a lot to say,but this guy is a real dynamite, his vision and great distinction and elaboration of great value, definitely immeasurable, simply unbelievable!
Prof. you are a genius! My question is: what stops you from leveraging on your influence globally, expertise, experience, vision, kind heart...... to implement some of these great ideas of yours. Especially an International Media House for Africa, and by Africa to educate Africa, support African businesses, culture......... and so on. Prof. Lumumba please do and it will be wonderful. Thank you. Blessings
He is inspirational and knowledgeable. i would have loved for him to delve deeply into other vital revelations but i understand the censorship is great, having a great hold plus the consequence especially from the disloyal and the sell-out leaders. 'We must apply effort in the things that require effort...' 'Choose you now who you want to serve' Superb Elder, may you live long to awaken us all. Thank you Senior..
All young people should listen to these speech. It has alot of history worthy knowing. Wish professor Lumumba could give me 1% of his brain. But the truth is, not possible. May be his children through genetic allocation. However, probably through EXTRA hard work anybody can try and become. Thank you professor. From this speech I have learnt alot I dint know inspite of being 9yrs your senior. Congrats.
Bro I've been following you relentlessly, and allows me to be more convinced that ' society is a dangerous 'norn', therefore I refuse to be normal. Thanks for your continual assistance.
Indeed Professor Lumumba is a good public speaker and has made great speeches across Africa and the entire world. He has courageously condemned the African Evil leadership severally...He has many times steered for Democracy in our country Kenya...However it was ironically to find Professor Lumumba defending Uhuru Kenyatta in the August presidential petition which Kenyatta's win was nullified by the Supreme Court Of Kenya. Uhuru's integrity is in question and the whole knows. The elections were not free, fair, credible, transparent and viable and Lumumba defended this mediocre and intended mistake. Faith with no actions is dead. Lumumba MUST walk the talk.
Seamus in Horizontal Orange take a chill pill bro. You don't have to agree with him. However, he was invited and you were not. Try and make yourself relevant. Perhaps more than him.
Seamus in Horizontal Orange I think you should heed Yamusa's advice: try and make yourself relevant! And oh, did you say you sympathize TO...? Please go get yourself educated.
Prof. Lumumba is appreciated in every corner of Africa because of inspirational teachings. I think through his teachings African Leaders are required to learn so that our nations will move forward economically. We all believe that our colonial masters granted our nations political FREEDOM not ECONOMIC FREEDOM as we are still suffering from Neo colonialism from both capitalist and socialist persipectives. Why civil wars in Somalia, Nigeria, DRC and south Sudan? Prof. Teach African Leaders to stop disobedience in constitutions, teach them to trust other that they can lead their Nations, teach them to stop accumulating their national resources for their benefits and not for their people and their nations. History should lead our leaders to change and mould the future of our Africa. God bless that man!
A Kenyan jewel. But hated by the powerful because he knows of the corrupt ones: hated by the tribalists: hated by his own tribe because he not tribalistic: hated by the liars because he speaks truth: hated by losers because he is a winner: hated becausr he champions the weak and admonishes the powerful. For those who criticise his speech they forget English is not his first language. Africa needs more of the character of PLO.
Tobrok Wa Mike Many thanks. I know of him well. He provokes positives and negatives in Kenyans. Talk to Kenyans? Be.more concerned about lap tops, be more concerned about IDPs since 2007-2008, be concerned about the PEV of 2007, be concernec how from the beginning Kenya corruption defeated the ICC with winess intimidation and non cooperation with from state organisations, be concerned about land grabbing, be concerned about poverty and poor health care, be concerned about Turkana....it goes on. Give me PLO any day as compared to the post colonial political elite who carve it up amongst themselves year in year out. Talk to Kenyans!. Nah. I know Kenya.
Stikskubwa, I'd rather someone read Bantu iko's ' I Write What I Like' than listen to this schill. Even Malema has more integrity than this charlatan. His tenure as Chairman at the anti-corruption unit turned out to be a huge mess, all because he was foolish enough to accept contributions ( for his foundation) from the very people he was supposed to be investigating. Talk about conflict of his interest. He was turfed out so fast. Sadly the drama he created only served to put back the anti-graft fight in Kenya. He then goes on to defend the IEBC? If he really believes in democracy, in the Rule of Law, he should have recused himself. His arguments were completely lacking in substance, it was clear that he could not find any law to marry to the facts in hand so he just went about wittering on in that verbose way of his. Any good law will tell you that a strong legal argument is one that marries the FACTS to the LAW. The facts of the case were hot mess there is no way, they could be tied to any law. Thank God for the God fearing astute Supreme Court bench. They managed to sift the wheat from the chaff and handed down a stellar ruling. PLO showed his ass and he will never again have good standing before any right thinking Kenyan or Pan-Africanist. End of!
Qiniso Truth .Speak of the PEV.Speak of the IDPs.Speak of rampant corruption. Speak of where Kenya stands in the league table of corrupt nations. Speak of nepotism. Speak of massive national debt. Speak of rife national poverty. Speak of tribal manipulation for political ends. Speak of the killing of the IEBC IT official. Speak of filthy rich politicians who have fleeced the country. PLO telling as it is and the corrupt do not like it. The surprise is that he is still with us unlike others who have perished....... He is a lawyer and entitled to earn his living defending who he pleases. It is a principle of judicial democracy.
@ Stixkubwa. Indeed, Kenya is guilty of that plus more. Thing is, PLO purports to speak up against these things and then you find him in bed with some of those very same corrupt individuals he is harping on about. Sanitise this! Sanitise that! His call for African gorvenments to sanitise themselves now amounts to nothing. Indeed as a lawyer, the 'kerb rank rule' stipulates that a lawyer is expected to represent whoever knocks on his door, by the same token, under the LEGAL ETHICS allow for a lawyer to decline to take on a case if s/he feels they cannot adequately represent the client. PLO opted to represent the IEBC, based on this, I believe it is correct to say that PLO took this recent case because he felt that the IEBC case had a merit (s). And therein lies the problem! I cannot for the life of me see how a genuine Pan- Africanist could do what PLO did. His actions illustrate that this is a man who is not afraid to speak from both ends of his mouth. Africanists like Tiro or Biko or Sobukwe would never have fixed their mouths to defend the very system that oppressed them, so how can PLO defend IEBC and by extension, Jubilee? He has shown his true colours and rest assured, Kenyans will never forget!
We don't try-hard. The hypocrisy in him makes it all easy for us. Just because he spits some Martin Lurther shit, that doesn't make him worth of anybody's respect. Not if he can't walk the talk. The guy talks so much, and too good. But will defend the vile most thing on earth if paid a few millions. The likes of Martin Lurther and Martin Lutherat least stood for what they preached, this one has NO stand of his own. If anything that's some wikipedia shit he's spitting. Nothing serious. I'll be sleeping the whole time if he happens to be the speaker in a convention I have attended. Then pick out a few keywords and run them on Google and I'll be equally knowledgeable. AMF, that's all he did the night before this speech..
@ F Nino. You ain't NEVA lied!!!! Anyone familiar with the Black Consciousness Movement in South Africa can easily tell this man didn't have a clue about Ongkopotse Tiro, AZAPO or what they stood for. He is an intellectual dwarf who offers nothing new to the Pan-Africanist discourse. I would have turned a blind eye to his shenanigans until he turned up in the Supreme Court clutching his 30 pieces of silver in hand and sprouting anecdotes with the intention to subvert the Rule of Law. Poor excuse of a human being he is.

Prof you are the Man of the people, the light of Africa, the leader in peoples' mind.
Bravo
In order to truly appreciate a great man, you need to see if He's appreciated by his own people. I once read somewhere that a prophet is never accepted in his own land. When you read the comments on this video, It is ONLY the kenyans who are insulting this great mind. The rest of the entire continent of Africa and the greater world has grown to love and appreciate Professor PLO Lumumba and may he continue to grow stronger in order to inspire all of us, He is a true Jewel and blessing to us all.
I always love deeply to listen to my most learned n mentor senior brother ....Sir always my 👩🏼🎓🎓 caps 🧢 down...yo full of wisdom n eloquent.....
How i wish i was there to listen to the political intelligence this man posses. PLO we thank you for the constant African education you always deliver to us through your speeches.
Education has been around in Africa. All we need is action.
If you
PLO hasn't got a clue of the dynamics of South African politics that is why he has got nothing new, original or radical to add to the discourse.
This guy is a mad genius.
One most important thing about PLO is that he hardly reads any speech, he speaks from the heart💙
Yeah no notes like Europeans because it come From his interself (Nalf) soul honesty.
Exactly like President Obama
Wonderful speech
one of my great leaders in africa...but what amazes me, is his memory of everything his is speaking about today, he even remembers the late tiros years etc...very intelligent of course
Live forever you changed poor generations in Africa may god bless you at all
He has a very high IQ
He is the most relevant and powerful man in our time, I have listened to many speeches about religion and politics, but this man is the real deal. You're like no one else 🙏👑😇
May God keep blessing you Prof Lumumba with great wisdom and favour. Thanks for the great encouraging speech.Watching you from Malawi
The man is intelligent, smart, wise n has wisdom
Fannie Ntshangase and a brother
PPL is a true definition of an African child on an African soil,he speaks with authority and from an informed point of view. LONG LIVE AFRICAN UNITY AWAITS US.
There are a lot to say,but this guy is a real dynamite, his vision and great distinction and elaboration of great value, definitely immeasurable, simply unbelievable!
Nice speech Mr. Plo. I have embarked into this journey.. ONE AFRICA IS COMING.
This man...... i yearn to meet him one day..! U ar a marvel Prof, true African in your speeches. God bless u!
You'll actually see him
God continue blessing you with more wisdom I wish me and my unborn children God should bless us with this type of wisdom to continue changing Africans
Great lecture by our great african speaker
African gem, his words will live on for future generations .....
Who don't like him just jealous to smart for them
I love the courage of this man, leaders are not made but born. i like the lecture, our hero
@jonesy give the man a fair deal. A single lecture is not enough of course.
Prof. you are a genius!
Thank you. Blessings
He is a genius .but we Africans we like to be lend by the bad boys. Here in Kenya the corrupt dont give him any space
May God continue blessing this man, am humbled.
He is inspirational and knowledgeable. i would have loved for him to delve deeply into other vital revelations but i understand the censorship is great, having a great hold plus the consequence especially from the disloyal and the sell-out leaders.
'We must apply effort in the things that require effort...'
'Choose you now who you want to serve'
Superb Elder, may you live long to awaken us all.
Thank you Senior..
I always cry for this man speech may God give you long live for you to see Africa freedom
Congrats.
I'm so proud of the professor he has inspired me everyday. I share and believe in his vision.
Helen Odera these are the brains behind Africans true contributions that matters in current United Africa we aspire thanks Professor God bless Africa
This guy is brilliant. If we could have 10 more of his kind Africa would be transformed
Trust me on this the will make them curried

@@bujumb3687 Still, doesn't make sense... What do you mean?
We have malema of South Africa.. I think we need support from all governments. We are heading somewhere as Africans
@@lonesurvivor5802 You are so right. The problem is leadership and not a lack of speakers.
His wealth of knowledge is so vast. This can only be from God. True son of the soil I greet you Sir.
Like or hate him ,this is a great mind.Magnetic memory and unmatched eloquence.Keep it up professor
Because of you I have become a lawyer without practice and iam doing very well
Bro I've been following you relentlessly, and allows me to be more convinced that ' society is a dangerous 'norn', therefore I refuse to be normal. Thanks for your continual assistance.
A mobile history book. High and valuable content!
If this guy doesn't speak sense to you, you probably don't have sense at all
Seamus in Horizontal Orange take a chill pill bro. You don't have to agree with him. However, he was invited and you were not. Try and make yourself relevant. Perhaps more than him.
Killing democracy in kenya and preaching freedom to the rest of Africa. Too hypocritical.
What garbage are you trying to sell to SA #Ricky Silas?
Richard Kagu Nothing but the Truth. Truth hurts but it always comes out in broad daylight and before the entire world. You do know that 2.
Africa needs more of the character of PLO.
stixkubwa...You are entitled to an opinion...talk to Kenyans ..They experience this man everyday .You may keep or change your mind
A great speaker, whose voice beams over Africa and beyond.
As a kenyan ,we proud of you such a rare gem
Margaret Kamau .....I'm no more proud of him. How can he challenge Agwambo in court?
Fair deal is the key. Keep up the deal Africans

Prof we thank you very much.. you changed our university of limpopo into something better
thabiso ngwaketse At least he did something good to you guys! Kenyans try hard to hate him
We don't try-hard.
