I just wanted to say that I have loved watching your beautiful daughters journey.Ame reminded me of my travels at 20 -25 yrs old. I was brave and fearless and travelled the world. Sadly, I returned to England and got caught in the rat race .55yrs young now and my boys have grown and I felt lost ,seeing Ame and now you guys has inspired me that I can be fearless again ..Thank you and fingers crossed I can . I look forward to being more inspired and love the content .Big love ❤️
Beautiful family, and the love shown on Ame's departure was palpable. I'm not a religious person, but allow me to quote from the Bible. *And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.* Best wishes to Mom, Dad and Daughter. Keep the faith, don't lose hope and continue to love one another unconditionally. Cheers from South Africa.
19:21 Aww emotional moment 🥺 saying goodbye to the people you love most is not easy and even less so when they are your children, safe trip to your beautiful daughter Ame 💕 beautiful video.
Being an old geezer, 62 and living on Harley I totally understand the laundry, spontaneity, and freedom. Been picked up litter and feeding the birds for the better part of thirty years. You make such a beautiful couple. I admire your options for places to see and foods. I'd be lost in a non English speaking country. Can't speak most of my own bloodlines. Lol. I do hope Ame can get the mold issues fixed. Our health and safety... Peace
Hello from Indiana, USA. Great video. I totally can relate to having to wait around while shopping is being done. I was a single parent and raised my daughter from the time she was 2, so I spent a lot of time waiting and shopping as she was growing up. She is now 23. No matter how old they are it is never easy to say goodbye when they leave. 😔 You should be proud, Ame is such a talented funny young lady and is very entertaining. You raised her well.
I feel your pain, Robert. I'm a dad also and like you when I go on vacations with my wife and daughter, I end up standing around outside shops while they take their sweet time inside shopping. I wonder how many hours of my life I've spent waiting for them while they shop. Oh, what we dads endure for our wives and daughters. I guess it's worth it. 😍 I say Ame should remove the wall in her van, but I think she would miss having an indoor shower. Would it be possible for her to have one similar to yours? Safe travels to you and your family. > Fred from Michigan. Not much snow or ice here either so far this winter.
Wow the end of the video was touching; it is so hard to say goodbye to loved ones. Beautiful, beautiful family. May God bless and keep you all safe. Enjoying Ame's parents' videos as much as hers!
Van life is complete liberty, you can go anywhere you want, new place every week, beautiful and amazing places and is so nice see someone of your age having no fear and do what you are doing, everytime is a great time no matter what age.
All three of you have very separate, charming, unique personalities that are magnetic. That being said, you're all solid cats💪! The divider needs to remain where it is.
I see that blue monday affects you a little (and Ame too after her misfortunes of December). The small negative period of January is soon over and the hot sun will come back. 😁☀️☀️☀️ What a beautiful family you are! Big greetings from Belgium
I love your videos and look forward to each one. Makes me think of a turtle’s life. Taking it slow and having your home everywhere you go. I loved the sound of the sleigh bells that went passing by. Good luck on the French lessons and hope you get to join Ame soon in the south. You have a beautiful family!
Really enjoyed the video. And liked seeing the history pics of Megeve and the different footage of places you visited. Keep up the good work! I feel for you Rob, 45 mins waiting in the freezing cold while the girls shop, that is an endurance test ; ) Was sad to see Ame depart but I am sure you will all reunite soon enough, once she has warmed up abit down south. Ame has had a tough few weeks I saw in her video, you have done very well supporting her through it (and she will be stronger and resilient for it). Also nice work on the wardrobe!
With regards to the wall in Ame’s van, she could put a piano hinge system on it where it connects to the wall and a peg latch system on the other end that would allow her to hold it secure. She could then have the best of both worlds and not sacrifice either of her likes and keep her pink wall.
Great time and glad to hear your Christmas was pleasant and enjoyable as a family:) Still breathing a sigh of relief with those few speed bumps that you all have faced recently, but thankful that all are safe and secure this new year. Maybe a 'folding' wall would work for Ame in her setup to allow for both functions? Easier said I'm sure, just an idea. It's nice to see these perspectives and honest conversation, as many of us look for ways to improve our lives. Thankful again for your work, and a great week to all.☀️👍
I often watch Ame's videos and this is the first time I've seen one of yours. I like the freedom of living like you do! I wish I could just drive south when winter comes or in general going where I want to, not having a job tying me down to one place.
I'd like to say thank you. Your videos are helping me get through some pretty austere times here, living out of a Yukon xl in Northern Ca., waiting to start work.
Love you all. Came from ames channel and at 42 ( from Boston, USA), I wish I could, sell my salon, pick up with my hubby and just get away from the daily grind. Happy for you guys.
I think she should leave the back board but do a slide out shower similar to yours. I would have it slide in a different direction though. Towards the door. So the shower pan would stay where it is & instead of having a bench over the shower she needs a full standing wardrobe to keep her nice clothes safe & damp free. Then when the wardrobe section is sitting over the shower she can also have a fold down desk on the one end. Folding down into the door area. It's going to make the space feel more closed off but she has so many great clothes she really needs that extra wardrobe space.
FREEEEEDOOOOM! That's really all everyone wants and you have realized that as your new lifestyle, enjoying the beautiful scenery, people and best of all you have found peace. Sure sometimes things will get rough from time to time but as long as you have family, there will always be the feeling that most vanlifers miss is love. You have a great family, the six of you are very lucky to have each other through this part of your journey in life. Amelise is a strong, beautiful young woman, you should be very proud of her and how she has taken on this new lifestyle along with you. Take care, be safe and stay healthy.❤💙🌹
"They are minor inconveniences" 😀 Charlotte has got to be the most supportive wife and mother I've seen on youtube. Also, I like the board as it adds a little bit of cosiness, without it I would be constantly reminded that I'm in the back of a van.
but she is in the back of a van,so the wall been there dosn't realy make a difference. + 9 times out of ten Ame sits and sleeps at the other side anyway so when she opends her eyes she has Gigi or the bulk head in her face.🤔🤔
In the winter you can hang the clothes in the cab and run the engine and turn on the cab heat to dry them. Running the engine for an hour is not going to burn too much petro. I'm the one who named Ame's kettle Phil. I also told her I was going to steal your shower setup which I think is genius. France looks very nice. I haven't been across the pond since my military days in the 70's and then I never got to see much of Europe doing submarine patrols. When you guys get together with Ame it's an absolute riot. Good luck to you and the wife and safe travels.
Once upon a time on a planet that some call Earth, a consciousness that used to be a guardian angel decided that she’d give it a try there. She had observed life there during the ‘60s and had become enamored of the music and the clothes and the cars and she loved helping and observing all those humans that she studied. She wasn’t sure she actually wanted to be a human being until she found just right ones to usher into the physical matter reality. She saw the potential to be a human yet still have the ability to experience being a human while sort of creating the freedom to keep her distance a little because of all that time observing humans, she discovered that they displayed quite often the odd knack of causing unnecessary havoc and chaos. But she did it anyway. It’s a grand and beautiful thing that she made that choice, especially for us, her invisible-(except to her, of course)-traveling companions who she shares everything with. We are grateful, very much so, indeed. Just like her proud Earth Dad so aptly put it, “...the very rare specimen, not yet extinct, called Ame and here she is...”. There are days she wonders if she made the right choice, because angels that incarnate don’t always completely remember who they really are. They experience the doldrums of the physical world; extreme weather, and the long list of annoyances that can occur, just in a single day or week. Yet, amazingly, Ame, can shake it off and take it all in stride and show us that it’s really nothing at all, just another oddity of being a human. Then she shows us what is the joy of this reality. It’s simple, breathtaking beauty that’s all around us. Silly humans, we should learn much from Ame, who shows such appreciation for the incredible beauty of the simplicity that is all around us, if we just take notice of it. That’s why we come here, in the brief time allotted, to appreciate and truly experience all that encompasses being a human being. Plus, She’s an amazingly good pilot to Gloria and a wonderful mother to Gigi....not to mention all the long hours of work-( it’s more than you think)-producing these little movies.
FREEDOM! I’m 57 and heading off in a van end of May to run around mountains! Thanks for the insights, hoping the positives easily outweigh the negs! Have fun 🏔😀
Every time I saw Charlotte on one of Ame's videos I thought she reminded me of someone. It now hit me. She could easily be Millie Bobby Brown's mum, she looks just like her. Blessings on your continuing travels!
nice video rob pleased to see all things a back up and running after the christmas/new year disaster's (your window😪,Ame's heater and battery😰 & poor Gloria needing a kick up the arse for that bank 🤣) l feel your pain with shopping my wife and daughter are exactly the same. And i agree with you Ame should take the wall out it will make her van look bigger..
You’re all so lovely. Sending hugs and thank you for showing some Vulnerability in the land of fake sentiments. Take good care. Rob I sent you an email. Bisous à tous. Dana
I need to know her skincare routine. Her skin is flawless. If you run out of video ideas, she can film a “get ready with me” video or a “what we eat in a day” video. As I am curious to both. LoL.
I truly enjoyed your video and especially appreciate the love shown between you all. Very beautiful family bond and love the affection 💞 Count your many blessings, name them one by one, you are so blessed and you have a wonderful daughter, she's special! Wishing you many blessings in your life and travels 🙏🌺❤️
Another great video, thanks for sharing your adventures. I do have a couple of questions. 1, what do y’all do for money? 2, how much longer do you have with the french class and is it making you fluent? Again, if you answer thanks, if not that’s okay as well. Please keep them coming, great content.
Good morning Lady Amelise parents...Thanks to Jesus you're all OK...I just know from where that Lady Amelise so lovely Beautiful (it's from her Mom) and so Brilliant and Genius (it's from her Dad)...I'm 46 years old, Love you full from Bali, Indonesia 💓💓💓
Great seeing another video. Re Ame's divide. I like it and makes the bed area cosy (plus isn't there a shelf on the bed side?) Also I feel it keeps the shower water away from the bed, but maybe in reality that's not an issue. I csn see the benefits of having it open though, maybe there can be a kind of pull out one or a funky shower curtain she can open and close to get the best of both worlds.
Bon chance chief, you guys make me chuckle… there’s not a hope in hell I’d get my daughter to tidy up her room, perhaps why I spend more time in my van. Loving the banter, also the French drive through washing machines stacked alongside many of the self service gasoil stations if you got a carte bleu.
You remind me when I first started living in a van with lots of things you don't need.. When you have been doing it for 25 years you will need less and less.. Everything you need is out of the van
We are the same age. No shame in learning something new at this stage in life. Crazy how I have to sons and no daughter like Ame. You raised her well, and it is amusing to see your channel.
Greeting to you & your from The Guitar Temple, we absolutely Love watching hopefully you will reciprocate and come see us as well , The HUGS True and genuine my bride and I felt it was the best part of your very nice video, sorry to hear of your Jeff Beck departing to a higher level he was a great inspiration, Cold and alone waiting for the sweets to stop shopping, your a good guy, hello to your Bride and baby pups and cute Amelize. Stay Sweet.
Charlotte, Robert, I like the strong cohesion in your family. And the great love you have for Ame is literally touchable. Looking forward to your next vid. Stay safe!
@@midlifevanlife If you ever want to go skiing in Germany or Austria, let me know, Robert. Then we'll meet up and do a few turns together. Would be happy to do that. As one of Ames Patreons, I am easy to reach. Feel free to contact me, if you want. 😉
I follow Ame but did not realise you also had a channel until today. Have subscribed to find out more and how you subsidise your travel and all the costs involved.
Arr thank you both for sharing your life ❤️. Love love watching Ame you must be so proud of her . Such a beautiful person inside and out . And I hope you don't mind me saying Charlotte is absolutely stunning ✨️ 😍 so beautiful flawless skin . Love your matter of fact way of speaking wished I had the courage to do more adventures like you both . I agree Robert Love the old posters of what the town looked like before . I actually love Watching you all shop and eat and have coffee it's lovely 😍. I would keep the wall it makes it look cosy and separated as tho you have another room 😊
Just stumbled across your channel via Ame's Channel. I must say its not often I can tolerate listening to a bloke talking for hours, but your voice is very tolerable, which brings a sense of relief to my ears. I hate the sound of my own voice to be honest. 😄 Keep up the good work. Your presenting skills of the real life stuff is great. I've subscribed. 👍
Dang! You two are becoming more natural before the camera. The “cameo” dovetails nicely with Ame’s recent video. I’m 63, and I want be adopted…no diapers…yet, so that’s a plus?
Loved the shared experience! The Good-Bye at the end was so very sad...I feel the love and am glad you got to spend time with each other. But I do recall on Amy's version of this good bye, that she had to come back for something she forgot, right? LOL Add those quirky moments to leave is giggling. Enjoy your travels and I look forward to the next clip. Cheers!
I loved seeing the friendship, affection and fun interplay between Ame and her Dad at the start of this video! No wonder she's so confident, skilled and adventurous!! I get freedom from living out of a backpack without owning a car or van at all from time to time, but that's a whole nother story.. I got to live in Europe for about three years (mostly in eastern Bohemia, Germany and Switzerland) but never made it to the south of France. I'm really getting to learn about that area through your courageous and talented daughter and wish you all, safety and all the best from snowy Pennsylvania in the US :)
Really like the way your doing the videos. If your ever in the area of me (south of France) pass by. I have a nice flat parking up in the mountains for you to use if you like. Cheers and looking forward to the next video!!
Another great and heart warming video. Hello Robert Hello Charlotte. Good to see that you are feeling better now. Congratulations on your 4th video and Robert I agree with you that 45 minutes is too long for the women to go shopping in a clothing store 🤭🤭🤭 just saying. Anyway thank you for posting this video and keep them coming. Best wishes to you both and to Ame as well. Take care stay safe and happy travels always...JP
What about travelling without the jab and tests, cause I reject both. Would that be a problem? Am thinking of buying either a converted van or a motorhome. I also would take my 4 cats with me.
Lookwise, I'd say no, don't cut the wall out. But for the sake of pragmatism...yea, definetly. It's not like she needs it, with the shower curtain and all. It's mainly a question of whether she can comfortably sleep back there. 👍 I think y'alls dogs gotta love this way of life the most. They experience so much more than any other animals in "normal" households. My parents take their dogs out for a walk everyday and let them roam the garden several times, but the scenery doesn't exactly change, you know? Whereas your little buggers barely ever see the same outdoors two days in a row. So much input is amazing for any dog. Also, I think you should be glad there's not as much snow as on those pictures, seeing how a certain someone couldn't even scale the mountain roads in this more dry weather. ^^ Edit: Okay, one thing to add...Yes, I do feel the pain of you at 17:10 having grown up with both a mother and a sister who love to spend an eternity doing what I can only assume to be a *full scan* of every single item in whatever store they enter...consider your pain shared. 😂
The plus of your having to wait outside the clothing stores is that you can check out all the beautiful shoppers- well, you brought two of them with you. ;-)
Sorry, my phone jumped to the next video while I was commenting on the previous one. This is why my comment made no sense 😂 Enjoyed the video. Shame about being stuck in the cold with no option to ski but good luck with the French lessons 👍🏻
Love Annecy , spent plenty of time there when we travelled Europe for a year in our motorhome in the 90s , we now live in southern Carinthia in Austria, , iveyour ever passing this way, the kettle is always on !
@@midlifevanlife no problem , twinnings English breakfast it is then , by the way , we’re Yorkie fans and had a 9 year old beauty when we moved to Austria , sadly we’d only been here ten weeks and she passed away mysteriously, no signs of illness 😞two years on , still hurts like hell
Lovey vid guys, can I ask you how you fund your lifestyle ? I love the thought of being a digital nomad but at 54, wondering if I'm too old for change ! 🤦♂️
You guys are getting better each time, much more relaxed with the glass eye and selfie stick now, long way to catch up to Ame's spectacular 200k, but give it time. Any guidance on ways of spending more than 90 days out of 180 or more than the 12 month tourist visa gratefully received. Most websites are written for would be residents. Will you be giving Ame your best David Gilmour rendition of "tear down the wall!"? Assuming she listens to anything recorded after 1967😂
I take my hat off to you living in a van all year. I know about lack of space, as i served on ships in the navy. Not much space, space was at a premuium we shared the space between 12 people. We had two toilets and showers between the whole crew that was 45 in total. You had to plan your water usage as you ran out of hot water and supply. I studied german in my 30s mostly in austria great place, to live hope to get back one day. It was for family reason my grandfather did his aprentiship at krupps in hamburg that was in the 1880s i believe. I know how difficult it can be to learn a language when you are older but there is a way through it and its interesting. Your van convertion is very good well thought out. Women and clothes shpping , fing a good friendly pub somewhere, let them get on with it.
Another good video. I agree, I don't watch the news much my self. Nothing positive on the news. I've been wanting to buy a 4 seasons camper as it's cold here in Canada. I'm tall 6.5 so not sure how a tall can would fit me. Standing or laying lol
As you know Amy has worked hard on her channel. I have seen every one all up to van build. For being in her Early 20s she has accomplished a lot thank you her parents 💞 for every thing you done for this 😇of yours. I'm giving credit to were credit is do. Mom and dad. I'm sure your proud parents 💞.and her channel grows every day.your next Right up with her.👍🐕🇺🇲😅😊🌎 soon very soon .I'm a fan now.off your family.cant wait till next one.please be safe we want nothing better for your family then that.🇺🇲🌍.

go for it, realy, it's now or never... 🙂
What a spectacular family dynamic they have. And pappa bear is getting very good at vlogging.
Re Ame, No leave the divider. It makes the bed area more cozy, plus the shower dampness is contained.
Absolutely love Ame and her van life stories. But also love her parents stories. Wish u best of luck!

I follow ame. So glad I found you. I'm 60,yearning to move into a van! Yes,cut it out Ame! Love you 2 !
Thank you Cyndee😀
@@midlifevanlife yvw!
nice video rob pleased to see all things a back up and running after the christmas/new year disaster's (your window😪,Ame's heater and battery😰 & poor Gloria needing a kick up the arse for that bank 🤣) l feel your pain with shopping my wife and daughter are exactly the same.
And i agree with you Ame should take the wall out it will make her van look bigger..
You’re all so lovely. Sending hugs and thank you for showing some
Vulnerability in the land of fake sentiments.
I love your sense of humor and your pups! Hope you channel grows fast !
Thank you for your support 😀
Another great video, thanks for sharing your adventures. I do have a couple of questions. 1, what do y’all do for money? 2, how much longer do you have with the french class and is it making you fluent? Again, if you answer thanks, if not that’s okay as well. Please keep them coming, great content.
You must be so proud mate having so smart ,pretty , creative, hard working daughter.
We are, thank you 😀
Good morning Lady Amelise parents...Thanks to Jesus you're all OK...I just know from where that Lady Amelise so lovely Beautiful (it's from her Mom) and so Brilliant and Genius (it's from her Dad)...I'm 46 years old, Love you full from Bali, Indonesia 💓💓💓
Good to see the loving family again. Thanks for sharing and have (as much as pos.) a smashing New Year :)
Beautiful Christmas time video. I get to see the other side of the world during X-Mas. Stay safe & safe travels.
So glad you’re feeling better
Wonderful perspective...thank you
THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE GREAT VIDEO. YOUR FAMILY IS SO SPECIAL.ENJOY LIFE EVERY DAY , BECAUSE LIFE IS TO SHORT.GOD BLESS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.
The dramatic editing at the end is really an expression for how sad you were to see her go...
We have seen these but not used one yet!
Thank you for your kind comments 😊
Stay safe!
Thank you Peter. We appreciate your support.
@@midlifevanlife If you ever want to go skiing in Germany or Austria, let me know, Robert. Then we'll meet up and do a few turns together. Would be happy to do that. As one of Ames Patreons, I am easy to reach. Feel free to contact me, if you want. 😉
Nice to see you enjoying yourself. X
Tell Ame to put that wall on hinges. Best of both worlds.
Great idea 😊
First we get blessed with Ame in a Van and now you both are the bonus.
I follow Ame but did not realise you also had a channel until today. Have subscribed to find out more and how you subsidise your travel and all the costs involved.
Oh , the board ? I would keep it . Simply because it gives the feel of a little extra space . A cosy nook .
Thank you very much 😊
Dad cut it out 😂 thanks for the share
Just stumbled across your channel via Ame's Channel. I must say its not often I can tolerate listening to a bloke talking for hours, but your voice is very tolerable, which brings a sense of relief to my ears. I hate the sound of my own voice to be honest. 😄
Keep up the good work. Your presenting skills of the real life stuff is great. I've subscribed. 👍
Best time of your life 40 50 go for it take the ruff with the smooth you are doing what allot of people wished or wish they could do including me
Thank you Patricia😀
Great vlogs, good to see Ame there.
Thank you.
Cheers!
I watch Ame's channel, but never realized how much she liked that middle finger! Lmao
She does indeed😂
Great content mate, hope she gets better soon! Cheers.
Btw, that ending got me rather choked up..hope everyone's doing well.
Really like the way your doing the videos. If your ever in the area of me (south of France) pass by. I have a nice flat parking up in the mountains for you to use if you like. Cheers and looking forward to the next video!!
That is very kind. Thank you 😊
Another great and heart warming video.
Could always angle plastic but lower the wood by using a partial shower curtain
Good idea, thank you!
What about travelling without the jab and tests, cause I reject both. Would that be a problem? Am thinking of buying either a converted van or a motorhome. I also would take my 4 cats with me.
Nothing required in Europe at this present time
Hello lovely people what's up Billy Novax here knock out video yeah well done amy for getting y folks involved nice t meet y all
Lookwise, I'd say no, don't cut the wall out.
But for the sake of pragmatism...yea, definetly. It's not like she needs it, with the shower curtain and all.
It's mainly a question of whether she can comfortably sleep back there. 👍
I think y'alls dogs gotta love this way of life the most.
Edit: Okay, one thing to add...Yes, I do feel the pain of you at 17:10 having grown up with both a mother and a sister who love to spend an eternity doing what I can only assume to be a *full scan* of every single item in whatever store they enter...consider your pain shared. 😂
The plus of your having to wait outside the clothing stores is that you can check out all the beautiful shoppers- well, you brought two of them with you. ;-)
Ha ! Dad you are so cool 😎. Fantastic podcast 👌. Haven't watched it all yet. Bless you all
Thank you Kelly. 👍
Would love a video on where you get that 20 euro for diesel. An income video please.
Mother and daughter, beautiful ladies.
Thank you 😊
You have a smart and funny, gorgeous daughter. Hope ur family had a nice time together, cheers!
Thank you 😊
Congratulations on little one number 3. We've got 3 girls 💜💜💜 Running every day and cycling sounds like a good challenge. Enjoy 2023 mate 👍🏻🏃♂️
Sorry, my phone jumped to the next video while I was commenting on the previous one. This is why my comment made no sense 😂
Enjoyed the video.
If we ever that way it’s breakfast tea with a splash of milk.
@@timboharty7325 We are very sorry to hear that. It does break your heart when you lose them. We have experienced that twice now ❤️
Lovey vid guys, can I ask you how you fund your lifestyle ?
Great video,Ame is so much like her Dad,in looks and attitude, love you guys ❣️
They both have a positive attitude and energy 😊
Pops you look like you're enjoying the vlogging. 👍🙏
Congratulations, the school is an important tool in the live.
Really good to get a 40+ perspective. Would love to know more how you find places to park.
Google earth is very helpful, alongside park4night app😊
Hey dad. Hard saying goodbye to our little girls for sure. Glad the time passes quickly for you.
