Love Stereolab. Love The Free Design, their obvious influence. And this cover with Chris Thile? There. Are. No. Words.
This is a brilliant cover! Thank you for posting this!🌺
I love this so much, you have no idea. This is fucking brilliant.
Yep. Could have gone on longer. Also quite an inspiration for mandolin players…
So much brilliance here. Chris is one of THE most important people in this music for this age. What a killer player in a killer band!! Stereolab with Sean O'Hagan are the ambassadors of avant pop, while The Free Design is an inspiration for any artists who appreciate harmony and smiles.
I like this, good arranged.the drummer is so good!
That's some horsepower
Very Amazing Cover.. great job.. ♥️
MARCUS!!!
So 👏 awesome great cover
Fuck this is utterly fucking badass. 11/10. That drummer! Jaysus!😍
Whoa .. my goodness. That drummer! I mean, they're all terrific, but what the heck was that? :)
the one and only marcus gilmore!
Reminds me of Return to Forever, great music choice for an outdoor kick off the summer gig. Especially liked it when instruments dropped out leaving the voices. Nice harmonies.
Wow. One of the nicest LFH surprises I've had in a longtime. Too bad they struggled with the mix at first 'cause the song is great and the band WAS LOCKED DOWN! Imma watch this again.
You might not hear it, but the 'ooh' is there. Yes, yes it is
If we played it : In our head
LOVE IT...but aint right without the horns....
no triangle either😭
Especially when that ABBA's famous song reference comes in.
@@jacobtapianieto9655 what do you mean by ABBAs famous song reference? There's a sample in the song?
@@elementkx not exactly a sample but indeed a slightly modified reference to "Dancing Queen". In the original recording by Stereolab you can hear it played by the brass (trumpets and trombones). In this cover (at the 3:20 mark) the tune is played by the violin, but it's almost inaudible.
They perform the song better live than Stereolab.
Agreed. Love Stereolab as writers but they're not great musicians.
@@philipshropshire5985 Stereolab is amazing live. All the things you may think are computer generated drums and guitar riffs are played by hand in deep rhythm. They are great musicians.
I thought exactly the same.
I disagree. Way too frantic.
worth a try...vocals are not very good..like it ^^
