First game I ever played on an Amiga in about 1990...went to a friends house who had this and "Chase HQ" I was blown away. I was playing a BBC micro at home at the time..I immediatelywent home and started saving my pocket money for an Amiga. To this day, no tech-leap has matched for "Wow" factor, the gap between 8 bit stuff like the BBC micro and the 16bit Amiga...
This was an interesting hybrid game. It wasn’t true 3D but nor was it a 2D sprite game. The aircraft were constructed in 3D but then prerendered at certain angles. This gave them detail that you wouldn’t see in 3D games for a good five years (B-17 Flying Fortress in 1993 was a good example). But it made for the appearance of a frame rate much worse than it was.
@@Notir072 Just a personal preference. WW II air duels are very different from modern jet and missiles! I had Falcon and F18 too, but -apart the good quality of the game itself-, every mission ended up, after 20 minutes of free flying witout problems, in my plane hitted or crashing in a fraction of second. Non very enjoyable...

Graphic (and refresh rate) may seem atrocious for today's standards... but this game was satisfactory and really playable.
But not very realistic at all. For me F18 interceptor or Falcon was so much better.
