You Can't Fly Your Drone On A Public Footpath! 5 star Coworth Park - Dorchester Group 2022

- Опубліковано 7 тра 2022
- Out testing my new drone on a public fooptpath and secruity come and interupt and tell me not to fly on a public footpath. Coworth Park Sunningdale part of the Dorchester group of hotels.
This is only my 2nd video so not the greatest editing.
Wow the patronising manner is astonishing. It’s amazing he feels he can demand details and licences, Combined with a total lack of knowledge of law, together with spouting his own idea of laws on a cheap suit.
What an awful individual and he really did well representing his hotel.
Nice one bell end.
It always amazes me that people don't check the law before spouting what they think is the law.
like auditors who think they don’t need commercial drone insurance.
Mostly they seem to think they are the law.
@@s3ra9h1m you don't. Auditing as a personal pastime isn't commercial use even if you make ad revenue from posting the video online. Selling the footage or flying for some other purpose for a paying customer is what makes it commercial.
I'm not saying people *shouldn't* have public liability insurance. Just that they don't have to.
@@MrGhostTube If you film drone footage and monetise it on UA-cam, you are operating commercially. If you are operating commercially, you need commercial drone insurance.
I would not waste that much time talking to that guy! The first 5 minutes I would tell him to f off!
Exactly, me too.
@Debs Thank you.
The phone call set him right
What a bellend, these people really need to read the law before opening their mouths!
"I asked you politely" - he was never polite.
"I'm trying to have a conversation with you" - No, it was a rude monologue.
Lovely film footage. Shame about the fu(£ing horrible "man".
yup it is never a 'conversation' with these fuckers
he is committing the crime or interfering with a pilot of an aircraft
Nope Article 240 of the ANO doesn't apply to UAV's.
@Ed Straker not sure what the police have to do with this video.
Incorrectly quoting the law will not help the perception of the users of Drones.
Its not a crime.
Its yet another piece of misinformation that auditors have put about.
@@ThatMicro43Guy Article 23 of the ANO for reference. www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2016/765/article/23/made
You can legally fly over residential and as long as you do not look in windows and you keep to the CAA height limit.
@Nigel Mcgiver But being told by whom?
I'm telling you not to post any more gibberish on line from now on!
You are being a nuisance and are OBVIOUSLY trying to gain a reaction to your comment.
I will add...imbecile!
@Nigel Mcgiver Ah who is the person asking him to stop? Do you give details to strangers?
he isn't being a nuisance, they just don't like it and think just because they are politely asking that he is compelled to stop.
@Nigel Mcgiver You mean like "PJ audits"...?
@Nigel Mcgiver Do you do what you are told to do by complete strangers (with no authority) when out in public? If the answer is yes then you are one very sad spineless little man.
That's a funny video what is that guy on about does not have a scooby doo
All that time he was the one actually committing a criminal offence by interfering with a pilot while flying, as was she flapping her gums in the background. Pure comedy gold fella, "Carry On Droning" hahah. 👍
Haha....no he wasn't.
beautiful Hotel ..a dream place to visit and/or stay ..though some of the staff seem a little ignorant and create an unpleasant atmosphere🙃
The exasperation in the man’s voice for standing your ground was so satisfyingly refreshing.
Sounds like the plod was too busy to attend this “egregious behaviour”.
One for the slaves and serfs!
It amazes me how security actually think they have authority over members of the public!
I get this a lot, good on you for standing your ground my friend. Also, everything you said was spot on.
Wrong
Wrong Nigel? Would you like to enlighten us all then?@@NigelDicks-qn7rv
Superb drone shots AE.
Top marks for being polite and standing your ground in public.
New subscriber!
There are no drone licenses and literally no training is required to fly a sub 250g drone.
To fly heavier drones you can do the A2 CofC and the GVC, but they are not licenses.
And this is why every tom dick and Harry are flying them. Some with disastrous consequences.....
The chap from the Hotel goes on about you creating a hazard for his guests!
If I was you, I would have countered that with, 'I'm flying my drone a safe distance around your property and not over people and I've just spotted an unsecured ladder on a sloping section of your roof that could quite easily slide off and kill someone if it hit them on the head!' 👍⚠️
Keep it going Bro.
Quality auditing! 👌
A great advert for the British tourist board this
🤡
Was his name Basil faulty?
More like Basil brush!
Quite right too. He has no authority to demand ID ,so you're not obliged to show it.
Air space is up for grabs unless restricted.
And does he think aircraft can't fly over his house? Cos it's private.
Oh deary me!🙄
3 excellent videos so far, already subscribed and looking forward to more.
You should ask to see his driver's licence.
best comment !
Good for standing up to the hoorah henry 👏
I think if I was the owners of that hotel I would be asking if I could use that footage for a promotional video
I love how the mind struggles so begins to twist logic, it's beautiful.
That needs a drone flying over it on a daily basis
Great video, a pleasure to watch, keep up the good work.
Complete Clowns. They seem to think they own the Airspace. Respect 👍👍
That suit loves his own voice ! But we hate it !!
They don't own the airspace
Yes they do.
There's case law on it. A property DOES have rights over its airspace but the altitude is not unlimited. Flying too low IS a trespass.
@@auditnerd8767 Case law which applies to sub 250g drones? I think not
@@135Ops Case law which applies to property airspace....which drones use. -
Bernstein v Skyways 1978.
The claimant was not successful but in the ruling Judge Griffiths did confirm that properties do own airspace but not for an unlimited distance. As this case was centred around photography from manned flight, it was more concerned with altitudes 500ft and over.
The ruling in this case does show that the fast emerging drone auditor's mantra of "you don't own the airspace", is incorrect.
@@auditnerd8767 Your nearly right, but the phrase should be 'you don't CONTROL the airspace the CAA does' and they have the last say of how it's used. He was perfectly legal at any height under 400 foot with a sub 250 gram drone if there was no current restrictions in place, onus on the operator to make dilligent checks.
@@canicant Well, if I want to build a 500ft building on my land, it wouldn't have anything to do with the CAA, - they have NO say in the matter. Its my 500 ft and as long as I satisfy planning and building regs its nothing to do with them.
They "control" the passage of aircraft and UAVs through, MY airspace. They don't have ownership, or autonomy over it.
and if an officer makes contact with you and is asking any questions then unless you are LEGALLY detained then you can ignore them and walk forwards and backwards and left or right or stand still and you can demand that they leave you alone and in peace ..if they try to restrict your movement and/or free speech or hassle you causing you alarm and/or distress then their actions are unlawful and you force them to settle a financial claim
They can ask to see your operator ID .
@@LRSTUDIOCREATIONS they can ask but cannot demand your id with the threat of arrest ..two very different things
@@yamum6228 so how do they get to see it then..... if you refused to show the..
@@juliandavies1974 easy ..they don't get to see it
@@yamum6228 why not if its a legal requirement to show when requested?
Or are you saying anyone could fly a drone without the correct requisites... and not have to worry because they don't need to show anything to anyone.
Oh, FFS! The suit guy is the biggest pratt I've ever seen! He reckons that NOT showing your Licence is a source of danger to their guests.
suit bioy is gonna be edumacated !
great footage, some place they got there !
Another great video. More of these videos w
Good watch mate! 👊
Small drone can be flown anywhere as long as no restrictions from aviation authority, yes you can fly over his house & you don’t have to show licence to police just your reg number as I understand
Keep it up bud, more videos please.
They didn't want you to see it was a Seedy Swingers Hotel really lol
I would have just told Kieth and Karen to fluck off and come back when they have studied the law. Some stunning footage that you took there by the way.
Oh blimey, what a pillock that bloke is. Not a word he said made any sense.
Very well done again, thank you.
I don’t think I would even bother talking to him after a few minutes
Unfortunately, I believe the numpties went away still thinking they were right. 🤔
Great video mate i have sub.
Everywhere is owned by someone. If you couldnt fly over private property you couldnt fly a drone at all
What a lovely looking building and grounds. You could ask them if they'd be interested in your donating your footage for their marketing purposes and await their kind response. In all seriousness there needs to be a strong gov't messaging about drones for the uneducated. Far too many cases of ignorant people thinking that the law forbids people from flying drones over private property. There are clear laws about crowds and distances (for privacy purposes) and the stipulation about being on public land and away from the highway. But the important message about how its fine to fly over private land has been lost. I've had farmers confront me about flying the drone above 'their farmland'......
marti sent me
On the plus side it looks a nice place there! ! See if you can all get us a discount and we will all go and stay and take our drones! ;)
I like your video bro 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Think I would have lost it with that helmet
Excellent.
Can you imagine the response if they asked a car driver to show them their licence to prove they can drive?🤣 Yet proper losing their sh1t over a bit of flying plastic that weighs less than a rat🤣🤣🤣
That security guy is unbelievably thick.............
👍👍👍
If memory serves any private land owns the air space from ground to 5 miles above. There is also a similar rule for mineral rights going downwards.
i dought you got a brain let alone memory fool.🖕
The posh guy kept slipping in to ordinary joe talk by saying mate 🙄
you do not have to present your drone licence to another member of the public ..a police officer cannot demand that you present your licence unless they can present REASONABLE suspicion that you are committing a crime
So anyone can fly a drone then. And the police won't check...
@@juliandavies1974 Yes, unless they have the right to. And hearsay is not right and neither is suspicion which is opinion based.
A police officer can ask to see your operator ID etc etc to ensure you are flying legally . That's why it has to be on the drone
This is from official UK drone website , 2022 drone law update.
Drone operators must be able to present their registration documents if requested to do so by the police.
A valid operator ID
A flyer ID
@@LRSTUDIOCREATIONS so basically anyone flying a drone can be stopped and questioned.
We don't allow people to fly drones he says. Oh dear.....he has a lot to learn!
If they were really concerned about their guests then take the loose ladder off the roof before a high gust of wind blows it down on them, that suit guy didn't half drone on
Ask him for his driving licence next time and you will show him your drone operator id
Quality ... the numpty doesn't understand the law but happy to make a prat of himself on UA-cam
He asked to see your licence, you should've asked to see his driver licence
well handled and what are they doing driving all over public paths and green areas
because they own it. the footpath is the public area and that's only because they alow it to be public. its a 240 acre land with 2 full size polo fields for the guards polo club. but it is a beautiful place to walk around
Don’t they provide their guests with curtains?
Dammit they do, spoils all the fun for us peeping Toms!!😉
All drone fliers in the area, please pay this place a visit!
Also, is that an un-secure ladder on the roof at around 3:15
NASA has confirmed what we’ve all suspected: that buzzing noise from drones is more annoying to humans than noises from cars and trucks, even when the noises are at the same volume.
I fly over commercial and houses, no issues
Great audit thanks. What is the name of this Estate please ?
This is Coworth Park Sunningdale
@@auditingengland Nice place for a bit of drone flying.
I see the police turned up 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This guy likes the sound of his own voice and he is distracted a person who is flying a drone which is an offence. He said he will call the local bill but he hasn’t done so yet.
Do Not distract the pilot in flight .
oh dear. why do people think they know air law and controlled airspace.
Self important that missed a great marketing opportunity of what looks like a very inviting hotel, would I stay there now I know the attitude of the staff?
Nice property
Johnny Big Potatoes crash landed all by himself. Excellent audit!
Your way too polite with them, I'd explained once and then told them to f*ckin' jog on.
Apart from the total nonsense they were saying did you maintain VLOS for your drone? That is a requirement so be careful next time. Top marks for keeping calm as he was getting very irate.
Suited muppet saying you don't understand and then makes him look a complete fool by what he says
You need to get at least 3 flying over full time
That would be a crime on several counts.
Public nuisance, public order, breach of drone code, invasion of privacy, harassment.
@@auditnerd8767 lol

i just had a look on google u can see it all ,, u can even see his little mini on google , so wat there problem is i dont know.
Whats the music at the end?
Drift Kuyani
Ive not had this issue, apart from the Karen at kirkstall abbey
You should have told him to piss off...EASY.
I think you should use two words the first starts with an F and the second word ends with FF
Poundland Kier Starmer.
Watch out BA, EasyJet, Ryanair, RAF, Police helicopters..the man in the suit will spring into action if you dare fly over the hotel he works at.
I think Thier related to the Weymouth group 😭
Don’t you just love someone with a loud voice who knows nothing about what he is spouting.
just sub
he loves the sound of his own boring voice.
Flying over commercial premises is no different to flying over residential premises.
@Nigel Mcgiver Nope. Not correct. I think you should read the pilots guidance to frying a drone.
PK - It's a commercial use building so they have no say as to who flys a drone over their property
@Nigel Mcgiver threats and stupidity. Welcome to your education it begins from now. And once you have educated yourself to the law your gonna be embarrased by your silly immature rants.
@@Nellyontheland why would you cook a drone?
@@ianpennington5856 Spell check is funny 😁
So British Airways can't fly over your land? Lol, try that one on them next time.
Nice footage. Shame about the Karen in the suit.
I've watched a few of your videos, and the only criticism I have is there doesn't ever seem to be a resolution? When these idiots are put back in their place and told by the police you are doing nothing wrong. Your subs would blow up if you did.
People are SO full of their own importance. Give them a job and they think they have control over everything. Also, they think their domain is THE most important zone on the planet.
Didn't know these people owned the atmosphere above their property's 🤡
Why are people so sure they know the law?
There are only limited things you can do on a Public Footpath over private land, and basically it just amounts to walking and things that go with walking, such as putting an umbrella up if it rains. You have the right to pass across on foot. That's about it. Anything else, such as riding a bike or stopping for a picnic, you are alright as long as the landowner is fine with it. But if they aren't, walking is all you have a right to do there. That is why it is called a Right of Way.
I was informed that if a public footpath is maintained by public expense then you can fly your drone from it
@@jasonsuffolk No. If it is a Public Footpath over private land, the only thing you can do that you can't do on other private land is walk along the line of the path. Anything else you do along it, like having a picnic, metal detecting or whatever, you don't have a right to do if the owner of the land objects. The simplest thing to do is just ask them. They might say yes!
