@@Matzelele IGN says it should be. If you wanna be EXTRA mean to yourself, you could also limit yourself to the single DLC engine as it fits in with the fleshy nature of the other Altar rewards.
I’ve also noticed your boat can take full damage without sinking, but will sink on the next hit. I kinda realized that in Gale Cliffs because I got hit by the serpent, dealing 2/3 damage, and then hit a rock fleeing leaving my boat with no HP left. Fortunately I managed to make it to the dock. I knew you’d need to do the researcher’s quests to get the abyssal rod to complete the flame quest. I’m surprised you could complete as much of the game as you did with no explosives.
You don't have to get the last relic at all to get to the end of the game. After I did the swamp one, I went back to blackstone and after getting atrophy I managed to somehow unlock dialogue that had me attack the collector. Then upon returning to Greater Marrow, talking to the lighthouse keeper made a warning flash up saying I was entering the final part of the game
I have no clue what that means, but I will put Oxygen not included on my list of games I wanna play next! :) And maybe if I enjoy it I will try challenges there too
Technically, isn't the handkerchief the first "relic" in the game? True, it's found by fishing accident rather than a dredging quest, but it's got the same purple backdrop as the other dredged-up relics.

Just maybe a tip for the future, unless it’s a time challenge maybe leave out side quests and the whole beginning section (right up until you get the first corrupted fish) because we know all this and it wasn’t really relevant to this challenge.
My challenge idea is to beat the game without buying a new rod (ie Only use quest rewards, salvage and special shrine equipment) You do need to buy 1 net for the jellyfish though.
@jeremypalmer5695 you are totally right, didn't think of that. I will look into it today if its possible to get all the quest rods and then I think I will try it in the next time :)
@@Matzelele It's a random challenge I have been working through. The Marrow rod from the Cod puzzle helps you complete Marrow, and gets you a quest crab pot. Gale Cliffs can be completed as normal, and the quest crab pot lets you get the better puzzle crab pot. Then you have to divert to twisted strand to exchange 2 aberrations for the puzzle reward and a better rod with oceanic and mangrove. Then you need to progress the Stellar basin quest to get the abyssal rod. Then with the abyssal and oceanic rod you can collect all the sharks for the stellar basin puzzle and get a rod that includes Hadal to complete the Basin Quests. That's what I have figured out for the minimum purchases run. There is also a free engine in the wrecks I have found. So maybe combine that with the special light from the old light house and we could figure out a no purchase run.

I'm pretty sure when you have a normal boat you can actually take 4 hits, it will show up to 3 damage and then if you get hit by anything you sink.

The nets /pots are a blessing and the Best way to fish and earn a Lot of money

can you try a 100-100 challenge in oxygen not included? it means starting with 100 dupes and trying to last for 100 cycles

Good Idea, but sadly there is no equivalent for the volcanic rod.
@@Matzelele You only need that for one fish in the puzzle for the ring. And you can use the atrophy ability to get it.
