Barnsley Bill - Barnsley Rap & Barnsley Bill - Wedding Rap from 1981 as well. They were the first MC's to use British accents on a track. However, they were novelty songs that didn't have a lasting impact, unlike "Cockney Translation".
To CJ Run: Speaking of the British v Jamaican Accent and parlances. Interesting in that era, closer to the real old-time Cockney; now today's "Cockney" isn't purely so -- it's rummaged in with the Jam-African mix-up. When they do speak London, they sound West Indian.
