Thank you for the well explained lesson ! I always want some more explanations on 3-3 invasion, especially because I hate them with such passion ! It will definitely help me in y future games. Looking forward to all of your next content =)
Usually if a strong player is offering to let you kill their corner group you should. Otherwise you have an unsettled group after w goes back to live. In an even game I think it's interesting to play a few extra moves first but stronger players are strong precisely because they seem to always be the one to get back sente first.
Love this, thanks Michael I want to share with you how I study with Katago. What I do is, start the game even with no Handicap. Then by the time W (katago) is ahead by 10 points or so, I'll switch with it, I'll play the white that's now 10 points ahead. Usually by this time, black have some weak groups, maybe some dumplings or B2 bombers, little potential, and generally a lot of problems. Then I'll observe how Katago fix my shape, build influence, and turn my weak/dead groups into strong ones. I found it is a very interesting way to learn. Of course, I can't understand 100% what it is doing, but I sort of get the idea of how influences are built, and how shapes are fixed etc etc. Wondering if anyone else try something similar. Re the indifference towards the life @ corner. I think it comes down to the fact that living small in gote is likely not bigger than a free sente move elsewhere, providing the outside wall doesn't immediately become a target to be attacked.

7:00 In this type of position, more and more, AI recommends me to play H2 directly, instead of J4 type of stuff.
