Hi Kevin This cake became number 1 among my family and friends! It's been made several time by us since you first edited on UA-cam I hardly ever do only what's in the recipe, so I made some additions to it that makes it taste even more delicious. The cake has tick layer of chocolate topping with hint of sharp note of alkohol, and is served with bitten cream with vanilla and cherries in kirsh on a top. It looks also elegant : ) ( All done by myself, and cherries are from lovely abandoned garden next to mine) This cake is unforgettable! And whatever you cook or bake, always comes delicious! Hi Kevin. I appreciate that you provide metric conversion for ingredients by weight. I’ve noticed that the quality of my baking has improved since investing in a kitchen scale.
One is baking at this moment, I’ve done it many times since Kevin posted the original. Even scattered a handful of dark chocolate chips throughout it at times…always a winner 😃

Could you please tell me what kind of olive oil you suggest because I cook with it but never baked with it and I know there are many types... thank you so much I will wait for a reply before I temp this I don't want it to come out bad because I have used the wrong olive oil 🙏❤️😋😋
Hi Tiffany - Dishes are Royal Albert; pattern is "Moonlight Rose." The olive oil I used for the cake is Colavita Extra-Virgin Premium Selection. Hope you enjoy the cake!
Good Evening Mr Kevin I've just baked it 😄 Here in Poland Super easy cake, love the recipe! Just can't bear rhe side taste od olive oil, hope it won't ruin the cake if I replace it with home made butter, would you mind share your view on that? Ps I Covered the top with chocolate

Kevin, why Kosher salt? Should I have this on hand?
Hi Marty - I use kosher (coarse) salt for almost everything. But you can substitute 1/2 teaspoon regular table salt for this recipe. Enjoy!

I think you might have mistaken the amount of flour. All those eggs and oil, you only got a flat pie. Sorry.
This cake is supposed to deflate a little as it cools. Hope you will give it a try!
