10 years later and this song has more meaning to me now than ever. Just learned I got put on academic suspension from my university. After two semesters of struggling mentally and spiritually I had a breakthrough today and now I truly realize the meaning of these lyrics. God took me back even though the sin I committed and all the ignoring I did of him yet he accepted me back at my lowest with open arms.
I hear ya on that. I DON'T know HOW many times I've single handedly managed to mess things up when they were going so good & yet he STILL continues loving me & still being there. I showed this to my husband because he didn't want our daughter to start dating till she was 30! He said not to let her out of your sight! Ha-ha! I knew she would be married soon after college. She never dated in high school because she wisely didn't want the emotions that go along with it. But she went to a Christian conference in the Rockies her last year of college and met her future husband. They are now married and about to have their third child. He's a fine pastor. She never dated anyone else! And both of my sons never dated either but courted and married. The most important thing to do for your child is to pray for them in the Spirit! And an excellent song!
God has been faithful to me before and after when I was almost out of breathe and my kiddo looking at me just dead in a car accident! God has taken me back! Love you family

I thought God was an evil God who allowed evil things to be done to me, and He could never love me the way my mom told me He did. When I ran away from home a couple of years ago I hated God, and I didn't want to ever be a "christian". I thought God was an evil God who allowed evil things to be done to me, and He could never love me the way my mom told me He did. When I was 19 I heard this song along with others and I knew that God did still Love me and He was real. Because this song in particular kept poping up on my myspace. Anyways, God took me back! I am His! And He Forgave Me!
