PBC cares about one thing, tax revenue. Every time a house sells and the sales price increases the recorded sale will always result in increased tax revenue. Mortgage interest rates are hitting 5%. Cash sales from out of state buyers will always win as many local PBC residents are being priced out of the market as many of them cannot qualify for a mortgage unless they have a large down payment. Time for many to move out of PBC and realize that they will be better off somewhere else!
