Mojang makes one mob for 8 different versions of MineCraft on different platforms that have all of their own platform-specific nonsense to work around and optimize for, while Teras casually makes several mobs for one platform and one video.

This is what happens when you ask people who know nothing about character design to judge creations that revolve around unique designs
Yeah their ratings were pretty awful. But I guess they’re being honest.
The designs sucked ass. Basically just boring characters with low-poly (non-Minecrafty) models. i would've rated them less.
Tbh what through me off was how in minecrafty they looked, way too many slopes and curves for a blocky game. U want as few polugons as possible in minecraft whilst keeping the unique shape

The Glerm is equal parts hilarious and terrifying. A lot of people's designs are cool concepts and would be great in non - blocky games like the Withering Reaper & some others I for got the names of. 😅 Spider legs can instantly make a goofy thing creepy....multiple spider / bug eyes can work for that as well depending on what the eyes look like
This should be created into a full modpack called "Souls and Sinners", I think it would be a kickass modpack with a horrifying experience to it

Unfortunately I think this is Bedrock Edition? And Blockbench models can't be imported into Java Minecraft.

@@Allmightysoup43 Well pretty sure you can't animate them at least, it has to use default Minecraft animations, aka just the waving things, but my point still stands, cannot be turned into a modpack.

All of them were sooo good! I think some of the ratings were pretty harsh, but well as modders they might have higher standards than me.
The Glerm in particular has pretty cool mechanics with the babies that grow in size and the way a whole group of them chased Daniel looked quite terrifying :D The face is a little bit goofy, but that aside, amazing enemy in my opinion.

The animation on all of the mobs are crazy good - also the wanderer was sick
Don't get why the ratings were so harsh. The models and animations are outright impressive, the mechanics seem fun, and the only problem I see with most of them is that they are a bit unbalanced and have way too much health. Other then that, simply excellent work
As someone who models minecraft creatures (more as a hobby), the designs are great! But they are a good bit overmodeled. Too many cubes can break immersion depending on what sort of modded minecraft you're playing. It sometimes affects performance too.
All in all I think a lot of these would look better in a modpack where everything is made more realistic/hi-def because most of these look out of place in vanilla. Not bad at all, that's just how I see it
i think those people are also modders so they have different standards than us common players.

Another problem is they have no limit to how many minions they can spawn.
I would’ve given all of them 10/10 😅
balancing ideas:
the wanderer should only be able to spawn 2-4-6 souls depending on the difficulty and be neutral behaving similarly to the polarbears getting aggressive when too close. it could drop 2-6 bones and a special pan flute item that would pacify nearby mobs temporarily.
the glerm should spawn 1-2-3 eggs/babies depending on difficulty and could drop 6-12 string on death.
Everyone said they really liked the lil soul guys, maybe make the flute item summon a friendly lil soul for something in return, maybe some exp levels, then despawn after a period of time.
I would balance the health of the souls to be like a slime or silverfish, the eggs of the Glerm weaker and make the glerms that are born to not lay eggs and have half of the heath of the mama glerm
Yes, the main idea about the wanderer was to be a neutral or pacific creature, not a hostile mob.
Mojang should add the wanderer

it'd be really cool if the wanderer was a skinwalker, and you made it to be initially disguised as a random passive mob like a cow, and once you stumble across it, or once it finds you, it turns into the wanderer
these were honestly the most beautiful mobs ive seen in a while, the wanderer and souls looked extremely good

For the wanderers minions, i think you should have made them spawn out of sight behind the trees and come out of the forest instead of come out of the ground. Great video and keep up the great work!!

Duuude you should totally put all these creatures together into a mod (with the designers of the mobs' permission, of course!), and call it Teras Creatures or something. It'd be amazing to be able to see every single one of those amazing mobs together in action by ourselves!

At first I thought that these mobs were overpowered, but then I realized, they were like bosses of sorts that are supposed to be difficult to kill. You'd need to prepare, as if you were fighting the ender dragon, but not!

Wow. These creatures were so incredibly built and well animated! These are definitely some of the best modded mobs I’ve ever seen. Fantastic job!
I especially love the Wendigo mob idea. His mushroomy forest biome looks cool, and his model looks even cooler. I can only imagine the Wendigo and his special biome officially being in Minecraft. On top of that, I feel that fireflies would fit super well into the Wendigo forest biome! Maybe we could finally see them resurface back into Minecraft.

Mojang should definitely add more creative mobs like these! (I’m not saying Minecraft has boring mobs, I just think they should add more detail or more interacting for them!) especially the Withering reaper! I love the idea of cut scenes!
Potato PCs are going to hate these highly detailed mobs... Besides, their refined style won't fit with the rest of the more simplistic mobs (Even the ender dragon doesn't have that much detail)

I really love the crystaleon and soul mobs. However id love for the soul mob to be a passive mob and unrelated to hostile mobs like the wandered. Id feel you could find them at like ruins or a cemetary floating about in packs of 3 or 5. When you give them a soul lantern they can follow you around (like the allay) and light up dark places (caves/ ancient city) and negate blindness effect. When you get attacked they can defend you by attacking the hostile mobs (like wardens or whatever).
Idk i feel like they'd belong in the *soul valley*

I think it’d be cooler to have the soul lantern use the souls as fuel to work as an actual lantern in your hand and over time the souls burn out
The mobs were GREAT. The modder guys were rating them as if they were final products in the main game and criticized any "flaws" so much, forgetting these are drafts made by fans. Sure, make adjustments to their health and mechanics but dude these are awesome. The wanderer, the reaper and the crystaleon would be great additions to the official game.
Ah yes, because instead of rating them as they were, they should have rated them based off of a nonexistent theoretical concept of them

@@prod.royalsg1630That happens a lot irl, what are you on about? You rate things as they are and consider what they could be. That's the whole point of a blueprint or laying the groundwork dummy. Have some vision. These guys weren't rating from that pov, just as final products. You'd be surprised how many things you have nowadays that wouldn't exist if they were treated as final products and not prototypes, they wouldn't have even gotten the funding from people with vision to realize them.

First mob: there was a very hungry, genetically modified caterpillar
second to the rest: SEVEN NUCLEAR MISSILES-
extra ideas for when you have time:
THE CRYSTALION: can be equipped with special armour!
THE WANDERER: has a health bar at the top of the screen like a midnight boss! and is a rare spawn, and make the flute breakable and/or make it a rare inventory item, make it playable like the goat horn, and the souls can come out to protect you!
THE SOULS: when the wanderer dies or the wanderer's flute breaks, the souls should become friendly and tame-able! you can choose how to tame them or you can make something to use!
THE GLERM: make it so that it can only spawn so many eggs, that way it doesn't get so laggy while fighting, and like any other boss, add a health bar!
CAPTAIN SKULL: maybe you can make the crow fly off his shoulder and attack! and when dead make the crow tame-able! and a boss health bar.
THE PIRATES: try making it so that the skeleton in the back can get out of the boat and fight!
THE WITHERING REAPER: make it sensitive to the light! and make it a rare spawn if you decide to make it a normal world spawn!

I really liked the reaper, although I'd say that it was too strong. One shot along with the ability of darkness when it's near you AND it had a decent range of attack too. But that was the case with almost all mobs here. A few balancing tweaks and you can make entire mod packs dedicated to these mobs which would be awesome
I actually think the fact that they’re so strong is so cool like he could make a mod with these mobs in a sort of souls type feeling super strong mobs that do hella damage but it feels good to kill one
I feel like a mob like the reaper could become a sick new boss in a thing like mcc where they have to do what the guys did in this episode but as a team all try to get out together and whichever full team gets out first wins!
I would love it more if it had a jumpscare cutscene where it just gobbled you up and suck your souls.
We like it because it feels like it could be implemented into the game, unlike the banana monster which had fifty million polygons☠️
If the reaper was put into a real mod, it would belong in a maze-like structure similar to the maze map in the video.
I know they probably just joking around, but the ratings seemed really harsh for no reason. I thought the wanderer especially had a very cool design that has a lot of potential if fleshed out more. You make cool stuff dude.

Wasnt really harsh, if you give a 10/10 for everything then it loses all meaning. If everything is great nothing is. Plus there definitely was flaws. A 10/10 is perfect which is clearly wasnt. A 5 is decent. Anything below 5 is when it gets harsh

These designs are absolutely amazing, and the fact that you put so much time into them makes it so much better. I do think that it would be cool if they had special moves. For example, the Wendigo had a flute that summoned souls, but what if stronger, bigger mobs could do something like a range attack where they charge up or something like that and smash the ground to cause damage to anything in a certain distance from them. Like a Wither level mob. That would be pretty cool. That is, if that's possible. Also, bring Daniel back. I fell in love with him.
the pixels on the first mob kinda felt too small to look very vanilla, almost like you added TOO much detail, which is never a bad thing. downscaling would make it look right at home in the game
fax the first mob looked too small and a little too complicated, especially in comparison to other pretty small creatures like silverfish and endermite which are just crossaints

I think it would be cool if the chameleon would also extend your reach for collecting blocks by 2-3 blocks. Any time a broken block goes just out of reach, the tongue would snag it and it would be added to your inventory.

Consider baptism, a symbolic gesture of your new journey, your decision to leave the old behind, and embark on a new life in Him. Matthew 28:19 encourages us, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
Lastly, remain steadfast. Consistency in following Jesus and His teachings is the key. As Jesus says in John 14:15, "If you love me, keep my commands."

For all the crazy animations I’m seeing, I keep expecting a death animation as well. Still really well designed mobs! They all look amazing!
I tried so hard not to give them all 10/10, but I couldn't resist. The designs are so disturbing, and so well done! I will embrace the nightmares they give me tonight.

It would be cool if when you slay the wanderer it drops its flute and its head skull thing
The flute works and lets you summon like 3 to 5 would that are kinda weak but help distract or overwhelm your target the skull is just kinda a trophy for the fireplace that tells your guests " don't fuck with me I killed a wendigo"
Your mods are amazing. They all look cool and have nice functions, as well as sometimes a good background story. The only question I have is: How much are the command blocks doing? Are they only for spawning or for more?
My main guess is only for spawning. How the mob works is probably coded into it.
Dude the wendigo with the spirits was top tier. Like, one of the most engaging, badass, and atmospheric mobs from any mod I’ve seen. If some features were added it could be surreal

The Souls and Crytalion are my personal favorite, the design isn't overly detailed and yet you can still recognize the shape

This video is really creative. One suggestion after watching your other Minecraft modded mobs videos, you should add a health bar mod so the audience could keep track of the mobs.
Nice video, i think that your strong point is the modelling more than the game design part, it's a shame it doesn't get aknowledge explicitly.
I just had an amazing ideea,while they were fighting the Wanderer i thought:"What if when you kill the wanderer,he drops the pan flute and you can summon souls to fight alongside you with it?"
I feel like these guys rated some of your mobs kind of harshly. You did great! These would be great in a mod!
All your art, models, animations, and particle effects were great! I also felt like you did a great job staying true to the original art pieces.

The cut scenes in the maze were interesting. As a dungeon, this was great!

If you made the pirate Skelton a little big, bulky and stronger than a normal Skelton then it will look more good. And we can find that pirate Skelton around the shipwrecks gaurding his treasure.

I love that you included some other concepts with other mobs like the little ghosts with the Wanderer. Gives more life to the mob. Although i do feel like having a ghost companion would be cool. If the wanderer was a real mob i feel like it'd be more like the Warden where its a small boss battle. The option to have some sort of ghost companion would be cool, i always thought a little slime companion that followed you or could sit on your shoulder that grabbed nearby loot would be cool. You should redesign Minecrafts other mobs if you havent already, that would be cool.
Also if the ghosts could be easily killed with a certain type of weapon that would be cool for lore, like in lego ninjago the ghosts are easily killed with water.

Here's an idea: When the mod reaches a certain amount of health they start loosing parts of their body or they start having cuts, that would be cool.

I think the wanderer would’ve been scarier if it played the flute if it saw you at all so players can feel the fear of unknowing, also having it be more docile and using the flute instead of clawing(most of the time) would fit better. Still amazing as is, I just have a different vision
