When Chris gives Jin that hug and kisses his head like a loving brother or father broke me. I’m 73 and yes emotional when it comes to Jin and BTS but that one thing was so pure so full of love and respect it got to me. Chris and the boys get along because for one thing they have a lot of the same values.
Trudie you are so right. I am 67 years old and I love BTS. It all started in April of 2020. I have a few heath problems and my oldest daughter told me that I couldn't leave the house till the epidemic was over. I was talking to her friend who lives in England. She told me Mom you have to listen to BTS, who I said, watch Dynamite and down the rabbit wole I went. Jin quickly became my bias. I also have been a fan of GVG from the beginning of your journey. I am going to miss the boys soooo much. Till then I will catch up on the soup and what ever content I can find. I will pray for them to come back safe and sound, and that I'm around for thier come back 💜💜💜💜💜💜
Watching Jins interaction with Chris and visa versa made my heart so happy. When my ( now 20 year old) daughter first wanted me to listen to BTS I thought " girl you're crazy, why would I listen to music that I can't understand" but the more I listened to them the more I realized that BTS has a very unique way of making you FEEL their music even if you don't speak Korean. Now I absolutely love them and I am grateful to my daughter for getting me to listen to them. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 #BTS #ARMY4LIFE
Same for me!!! My now 21-yr old daughter sent me a text with a link to a video a little over 2 years ago and said, "Hey Mom - check this video out by BTS. I think you will like it." It was the video to Dynamite. I knew she had liked BTS for a few years, and listened to them, but I really didn't follow them or their music. (In fact, in 2016 we drove to Chicago and saw GOT7 in concert.) I watched Dynamite, and by the chorus where the airplane flies over, my jaw was on the floor. I became ARMY in a split-second, and had to know EVERYTHING about them!!! I have been learning (slowly) Korean, but am not very good yet. I agree that you don't have to understand them to feel the music. Jin's voice in Let Go by BTS (which is in Japanese/English) is just so powerful - it was a song apparently written when BTS thought they might disband. It sounds (to me) like Jin is actually crying towards of the end = you can FEEL the emotion. The Astronaut is just delightful! The video is adorable, and Jin sounds amazing. The live version with Coldplay is just awesome. My daughter & I went to LA in Dec 2021 to see BTS in concert at SoFi Stadium, and it was INSANE!!!!!!! BTS + ARMY = FOREVER 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
@@anneking4656 I love some GOT7 too 😊😊 Because of BTS I love listening to other singers/groups from other countries as well as watching movies and shows from all over the world. I think BTS has opened a pandoras box so to speak of listening, watching, reading and learning about other countries and it really is awesome.
@@lisareel6884 Exactly! I have several other KPop groups (mostly boy groups) that I think are just awesome. I do like a few girl groups, such as Twice and AOA. KPop is definitely some of my favorite music. There are a few Japanese groups that I enjoy also. Watching/listening to music in languages other than English certainly expanded my horizons, and I am grateful to my daughter for showing me this part of the world I didn't know I was missing!

I’m so glad Chris shared that nugget with us. We now know that Jin and the guys already made up their minds at least six months ago that they would be enlisting. They weren’t really waiting for the gov exemption that never came 😢. It’s not that we want them to not serve in the army it’s that we want the Korean people and gov to recognize the value of BTS and for them to not be exempt when over 60,000 golfers, presidents, sons of the wealthy, classical musicians, etc were exempt you have to feel their own country doesn’t appreciate them enough. If BTS didn’t meet the requirements for exemption then no one else should get an exemption, it’s insane to me.
BTS really makes me question how in the world 7 angels who don’t even know I exist, can make me feel so cherished just through their music- and I mean PERSONALLY cherished! It’s absolutely unbelievable and mind blowing to me. Jin’s ‘I Love You’ pierced through the souls of all of my future lifetimes like DAMN I REALLY FELT THAT😭 The feelings are mutual Jin 💜 Armies Love You So Much.

Yes, it was such a good speech. So honest. And I relate. Like you, when I discovered BTS, - I was like what is this?!. Korean Pop music, that is too weird ! - not for me !. I had heard of them through my daughter and her friends ( they are twelve years old ) but I regarded them as some weird Asian stuff - like Pokemon - Cute and fun. But somehow during lockdown I fell down the rabbit hole. And they stole my heart. I have never being fan of any band, when I was younger ( i'm 47 ). But now I am. I' m just sad I didn't discover them much earlier. And it is so weird that Coldplay now is so involved in BTS and helping Jin, because Coldplay was someone I listened too when I was in my twenties. And Pharrell is going to collaborate with RM?!🤯... Pharrell is one of my other favorite artists...it is so weird.
By the way have you watched Jin 's MV of The Astronaut?!. It is so touching- I cried so much. It's like a movie. And his live show where he talks about the making of the Astronaut, here he gets really honest a talks about the whole military ordeal. Also his interview with the female rapper lee young ji. She has a UA-cam show where celebrities come, get drunk and really honest. And finally the Rolling Stone talk between Pharrell and RM?. We learn so much at the moment. It seems like they finally can talk about a lot of things, that they couldn't talk about before. And finally have You guys watched the first half of Jungkooks birthday Live where a drunk Jin appears?.. It is so cute!.

I am an 80s teen. I have seen most of the great artists. I can tell you with all honestly and I am not bullshitting here, BTS is a great as Elvis, as The Beatles and Michael Jackson. They are just at a totally different level. I love BTS and they deserve all this and more.

I totally can imagine what that means for Jin. Maybe I will never understand that because I wasn’t put on that position as every guy in the South Korea. But my country which is Slovakia (in the past Czechoslovakia) we had that as well. It was because we were occupied by Russia from around the and of 2nd world war until 1989. So they needed more men to have them prepared. The stories what my dad has are mind blowing. I don’t know how it works in South Korea but what I know from my dad it’s only the experience to teach them how to take care of the people around them. And because of situation between North Korea and South Korea they need to have people because nobody knows. So so these men have to go there to learn how to act and what to do in some situations. Yes it’s said that they have to still experience it rather cancel it. I hope nobody will come on me attack me what I said. I just wanted to say that it’s that serious as it’s sound. Because they never let them go to fight they have army for that. So at the end I just want you to know that they will be fine just they will be missed by us until 2025 I will miss them because they save my life just while a go but let’s be positive and life with they will come even stronger and fully recharged ❤😊.

I don't like that BTS has to join the Army because I have learned so much about korean culture because of them!, But they want to serve and I respect that. One of my uncles died in the korean war. And I don't want any of my boys to go through that! Let them go through this being safe!
Yeah,, exactly why they have to go?? The crappy korean government dont know to treat them well.. Its just that they always said, " they are ready to serve the country despite of the contribution they made in culture and economy." They just want to make use of their goodness and global reputation. Anyway, choices have been made and i think its for the greater good... they will be champions. ....
