I enjoy watching Facebook videos with Michael Bey. He is amusing and teaches concepts that can be used on many balloons. Also he will film while he is working, so you see his bits of business and the way he treats his customers. All his videos are up so you can watch them later. If you haven’t watched him yet, you’re missing out.
Very interesting! I'm a balloon twister too. I tryed to get a gig at a shopping mall during the holidays, but I went about it in the wrong way: I sent them a letter....bad way I learned, no response. Also the letter went into too much detail. Then I thought about it. I decided not to twist at a mall, at least in my area. The atmosphere is not there. And some of the malls in my area have cerfews; problems with the older kids. Malls are not what they used to be, at least as I see them. Restaurants are nice, but what kind of tips do you get? Now as I see it, if you're just there for the money, then you shouldn't twist. You're there to provide entertainment. If you don't get noticed like a small decoration on the wall, why be there? So you make a balloon for the kids, they like it for a while, then put it aside to eat. like they don't even care about the balloon. While I never twisted at a restaurant, weekends are the best time I feel. The parents are out for a drive or to do a little shopping and they want to get a bite to eat. Hay I know, let's go to this restaurant, they have a balloon twister. I like to charge a small fee to the restaurant (just say $150 for the entire time I'm there) then accept tips. So much from the $150 goes for the balloons, and the rest is mine. Then whatever I make in tips. But as I said, I never twisted at a restaurant.
I can't remember his name, but there was a clown at a vacation Bible school I went to as a kid, who twisted balloons, and tossed them to us when we got a Bible verse right. He inspired me to learn how to twist.
Kornpop the clown at a school in Branson a few years ago really helped me learn balloons.

Kikori Bombadil, that is great. It reminds us all how what we do makes a difference.
