Checker dyeing is easy, just get electrical tape(you can also buy stickers at a hardware store), and cut out the sizes that you want the checkers to be. Put the tape in the pattern you want, then blow dry it so it sticks to the head and doesn't peel off. If you're doing a dark and a light color(black and red), do the black with the checkers first, so you'll have a black and white checkered head. then just peel the stickers or tape, let it dry, and put in it the red dye it won't go over the black
For the Lakota Volt(if you haven't already strung it), you should either string with black mesh and that neon yellowish color for the shooters, with white topstrings, sidewalls, etc. If that seems to flashy, the go with white mesh and maybe carolina shooters? Or possibly purple.
