If you are looking for a budget phone, the fact you can get this phone now for less than $400, makes it a steal. It has last year's 835 flagship processor, which is still one or the fastest Android SOC, plus 2 expected major OS updates, and Moto is known for their reliability and great stock Android experience. But if you are looking for purely flagship specs for this year with the latest and greatest, look elsewhere.
The value of this device is better understood when you realize devices like the OnePlus 6, the Nokia 7.1 or Scirocco, Huawei Mate Pro 10, and others that are mid-range or are not the latest iteration, are not CDMA compatible. The unlocked device list is rather limited for Sprint and Verizon customers (in the US). Good work, TK.
Motorola said in a press release that sales of force models was bad. Myself included, i think a lot of people just don't think shatterproof is worth being so easily scratched.
I've owned a Kyocera Duraforce Pro and really liked the side fingerprint scanner. I also love the Moto gesture navigations. I wish they would have put these specs into a non Z format.
Since I have the z3, there is a Moto z market app that comes on the phone will all motomods, Moto shells, and some pretty nice cases so if you do buy the phone you might want to check it out
Good review. I have the original Z Force and have really enjoyed it over the years. Time for an upgrade and I am on the fence between this new Z3 and the Z2 Force, which still has the shatter proof screen. That is one thing I have really liked with my current model, which has hit the pavement more times than I can count with no damage. Any comments on the durability of the Z3 Gorilla Glass comparatively?
Isn't the plastic on the z2 force said to scratch or dent easier than the first one? The Z3 will likely be a better choice as it gets updated longer, more power efficient with only 1080p screen, that is also 2:1 aspect ratio, a new trend. The Z3 also has newer gestures and display settings that the Z2 doesn't have.
Thanks for the input. I have heard people talk about scratching the shatter proof screen but it hasn't happened to me. I see all these people walking around with cracked screens and I just never understood why the technology never took off, and definitely why they omitted it for the Z3, unless the new version of the Gorilla Glass was somehow better. I am confused by several of their choices. But I do like their phones.
Was about to pull the trigger on the LG G7 and then I seen this phone going for only $240. The G7 is by far the better phone, but $360 more expensive is hard to justify.
I decided to just get a new old stock LG G4 instead. Now I can still use my extra batteries and battery chargers. Plus I can try the quick circle case for fun for only like $6. someday I will get a new phone, for now I'm just going to enjoy my spare batteries, ir blaster, and headphone jack..lol
This is how the Z3 was created... Verizon needed something more powerful than the Z3 Play, so Motorola had the idea to literally just take Z2 Force guts and rear cameras, and put them inside a Z3 Play display and body. But the Z3 shares the identical display and selfie camera as the Z3 Play.
Motorola does good devices, but even for that price maybe it's a little bit too much for me, mostly because the 5G isn't something I Will see here anytime soon, also because something like maybe the pocophone might provide more power. Anyways, great video, liked as always
I need help with my Motorola. Whenever I crop a photo and upload it to social media, it always seems to be severely pixelated-only when I crop and upload it online. I just got this phone recently, so I'm not sure if it's because of that.
@@TKBay It happened with Instagram, that's the only app I used by far. But I would grab pictures from Snapchat and crop it, which makes it pixelated when I upload it onto Instagram. When I use my actual camera and upload it, it doesn't become blurry/pixelated.
My only issue... The device is incapable of balancing out the audio. I use that feature to compensate for the lack of bass from my left headphone speaker. Temporary issue however a very frustrating dilemma I'm in until I can replace them in a wk or so. I wish this complaint was actually coming off butthurt however in all honesty it's not. This issue is causing a few dilemmas that is leaving me set back quite a bit which is a major conflict for me. Other than that one or many would think the lack of a simple setting or feature is quite miniscule. On the other hand for quite a few who have moderate to severe hearing problems, I guarantee they would beg to differ. I have worked with and personally know a few people who are legally deaf, one being my uncle who can't hear to begin with on top that can hear better on one side than the other. They would tell you or anyone else that feature is very beneficial and important in their lives to have in their phone and other devices they own. It's very common and has been for a while for a majority of these phones companies to have that very specific setting within the easy access setting for people with disabilities so I would immediately assume a phone with so much great technology would have it. That's what I get for assuming. Hopefully Motorola could somehow modify or update this feature to the system settings. None the less my only personal problem aside... This is Def a great phone with many great features, magnificant picture quality, very fast internet speeds and overall works faster than any phone I've ever owned. I don't have any plans or intentions what so ever of getting rid of it anytime soon. I just wouldn't recommend it to anyone who's hearing impaired.
Evan Viggiano Yeah my previous phones had left and right headphone speaker balance options for headphones as a feature specifically for people who are hearing impared and have to balance out sound. That's pretty much what my whole diatribe/essay is explaining despite my dilemma that totally relates to this specific topic about sound balance on my headphones
Evan Viggiano Appreciate it and I actually have looked into that product however I already got a new pair of headphones. None the less I still feel that someone should have to pay extra for an app or sound adapting device or speakers just so they can have the capability to balance out sound. A feature that many who are hearing impaired depend on
Can you help me please is which force have best camera Moto z2 force or z3 play ....I m waiting for your response ...I m too confused ..to pick which one ..
@@TKBay I hear that 5G data packages are sold separately from the service which is a bummer. It's probably going to be expensive at first, I hope not but we'll see early 2019.
This is the best review for this phone. I have the Z3 and it's amazing for the price. In my opinion this is the best mid range price phone so far.
very happy that its powerful and affordable as well
How is the camera when shooting an object or person from a distance?
Great info bro I just ordered it tonight, coming Saturday

very nice
I'm sad they're not doing a Z3 Force...love my Z2F..
not sure what they are moving towards but I would say that if they keep the play we need the force

that would have been a great feature to have
Is the Hotspot option Good?
What Case should I buy to protect?
Should I but a crystal cover too?
Any other comments?
hotspot is great, and cases will depend on the level of protection you need , check this one amzn.to/2EwzWI8

Trying to find a phone ti replace my Galaxy S4. Will this one be much of an upgrade? Will mobile games work well on it?
If you are upgrading it its $240 on line only! Making it the best value on Verizon right now!

Me too! sounds like its an above average phone. Itll do until i can do better
