Watched this with my 8th grade students today. Needed a quality message of Easter for them and remembered how much I enjoyed this one a year ago. Great substance. They paid attention well.
Working for Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, I have been contacting families in Wayne County with Positive Covid 19 results. With the massive amount of testing that had and has been done, some knew of their results, others did not. Some I had contact with on the Friday and Saturday before Easter were preparing memorial services for Loved ones, that were taken by the Virus. Some I spoke with I could tell were sorrowful, but had a hope in Christ! Others were rather lost. Praise God for the Fact of the Resurrection! Praise God for the Faith we are given by the Holy Spirit and Praise God for the Hope we have in Life Eternal with Christ Jesus. 100% Mortality for humans is Truth! Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the LIfe! That is also 100% Truth! Amen!
I love a sermon that is real and not all fluff or platitudes or cute little stories. The truth is infinitely better. Preach. The. Word. Thank you for this!!!

Because Lutherans are Christ followers, not Luther followers. Even I know that, and I'm not even Lutheran.
And Christ said our friend Lazarus is SLEEPING.
Maybe you should read more closely
"Man dieth and riseth not til the heavens be no more he shall not awake nor rise from his sleep." Job 14:10
For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 1 Thess 4:14
