I get curious about reconsidering the bent of Capricorn towards patriarchy/masculine. These archetypes also existed in matriarchal times, both signs are feminine in flavour (earth/water). Saturn's story yes involves males and castration, but stepping or rising adjacent to that I see more. I see the grandmothers, the wisdom of those who have not only lived as child, mother, parent, caretaker (cancer), but through time (saturn) have come to embody all that through experience, maybe even mastery (Saturn again) of these emotional, subjective, home based family (cancer) signposts, thresholds and identifiers. The grandmother container (Saturn) I think is as feasible to consider as chronos and scythes and testicles thrown in the ocean to birth Venus. Just perhaps one story got pulled from the soup, being told over and over, materializing it and strengthening the template story of patriarchy we've all come to know and hard sigh over. If Pluto's been plowing the fields of this story for the past 15 years to clear the land, I like to think the best hands for reseeding are the grandmother hands who have been doing just that over and over with their story going untold, but the work being done nevertheless
I so appreciate this perspective and fully agree. As is the archetype of the grandmothers work being done behind the scenes, it’s almost a self-fulfilling prophecy that it will never “get its due” in the way we’ve perhaps been taught as a society to appreciate visible success. Perhaps that whole paradigm of duality of visibility is changing, that would certainly be wonderful. Thanks for your thoughtful response!!
Thank you!
With a Cancer moon, Capricorn sun, and Scorpio rising, let me tell you, it’s been one wild journey!
Holy heck I've been deep in the tarot side of UA-cam lately and rarely do I hear such clarity.
