@@justinjagt7633 No, the Karts and Bikes are pretty even in terms of viability, at least according to Bear. There isn't as drastic a difference as in Wii, but there is a very noticable difference in when and how you drift. That said, I'm just happy Outside Drift is usable in this game, since it lets you customize and still win fairly alright.

Personally, I like coins but I wish they weren't an unlock system and were actually a currency for you to choose what pieces to buy. Also definitely shouldn't be available in boxes
Agreed! Although I wouldn't mind that they're in boxes SO LONG AS you don't get anymore after reaching the 10 coin cap. That way, you'd be properly rewarded for actually getting a bunch of coins.
They would have been fine in boxes if it was, like, 5 per box. Or, even better, if it gave a random amount between 1 and 10. I get that the problem was that they needed something else for 1st place to get in item boxes, but even so.
I like coins in races. It makes you emphasize precision and makes a lot of strategies more viable, and while I don't love getting them in boxes, I do get it because First is such a safe place to be, but they are WAY too common.
That said, I lockable are annoying as hell.
@@theillusionist1494 I'd rather them have made Fake Item Boxes way more common in first place. It doesn't defend from Red Shells but at least it's something I can drop behind me to actively hit other players.

Waluigi Pinball was in Mariokart 7, and there’re inside drifting bikes in this game, the Jet bike and Yoshi bike and Master cycle are three of them. Also you don’t lose your drift when you hit walls because you have smart steering turned on, also toadette is in this game.

Wym it’s not easy, I got 3 stars and all customizable options unlocked in 4 days.
it's by far the easiest game besides the fucking mobile game, walls don't do nothing, items are based on how far you are from first, if you fall you don't lose your items nor even close to as much time as other mariokart games, smart steering
I like it though, casually with friends as it's one of the few games I have where everyone even my fucking 4 year old sister can easily keep up with the pack, at least 100cc because of autosteering and just the fact that everything is so forgiving. Personally when I'm having the most fun is with 200cc because it's actually hard and requires a good skillfull mechanic. (brake drifting)
@@justinjagt7633 I agree bc it is more a casual game than competitive unlike MK Wii which did not benefit new players at all. At its heart Nintendo is mainly a company for kids so it makes sense but they still include challenges like 200CC for people with some more experience.

What's good about this game (it basically always rates top 3 in everyone's MK tier lists and is one of the most beloved games in the franchise) is that it has a very low entry barrier so even Little Timmy can pick it up, but a very high skill ceiling, to where you can spend hundreds of hours practicing and still not get the shortcuts and precise drifts anywhere near consistent and still get meme'd by obstacles, so it's easy enough for anyone to pick up but it's obvious when playing the difference in experience. It's like Smash Ultimate in that regard but more straightforward.
I absolutely love this new channel. It is so refreshing to see other games be played by my favorite Aussie youtubers :p much love from the American viewers
14:08 Fun fact: your items are determined by how far away you are from first, not what place you're in, so hop was probably way ahead of them causing them to get really good items. I've seen this happen multiple times when people of very different skill levels play with each other.

Fun fact speed runners prefer Mario kart 8 WiiU over switch cus it removed fireball hopping tech. Also the switch version of Mario kart 8 added bowser jr, king boo, and dry bones along with inkling. Plus it has a actual battle mode. Also it has auto accelerate, and smart steering that basically almost play the game for u. Make sure to pause races and turn em off if you don't want em, little z had smart steering in 200c
