Small correction! RM has the most KOMCA credits with 176, making him the youngest most credited songwriter in the association’s history (2nd overall). Also, Suga has 124 and J-hope has 112. The others have writing credits too but these three are the most involved as producers!

Yep, lot of bands don’t make their own music but that’s kinda what sets bts apart. They write and produce a lot of their own songs. And even if they don’t fully write or produce the songs, they have a lot of creative input in their music, in many of their songs at least one of the members will be credited for producing, writing etc.
Bts are fun people, very funny and not afraid to show their silly side. They don't act as if they're the coolest person ever and just show their personalities. That's what's make people love them.
Yes you are correct, the one speaking the most english is the leader & rapper, his name is RM. He learnt english by watching the show Friends about four times over with korean subtitles then english subtitles then no subtitles, that’s why his English is the best. He was the first member of BTS and is kind of like the glue that holds them together. They debuted in 2013 so they’ve been living and spending every single day with each other for almost 10 years now. Just a heads up If you continue to get into them more, you’ll notice that they’re very close and touchy with each other- try not to be weirded out by it. I know it’s not common in America but the culture is different in Korea. They also have been together for nearly a decade so they’re basically siblings at this point, that’s why they’re very comfortable with each other. They were very unknown and from a small company at the time of their debut, their company didn’t have much money or influence. All 7 of them were living in one apartment and sleeping in one bedroom and their company almost went bankrupt. They have a really inspiring rags to riches story so I hope you decide to get into them more and learn about them

as everyone else made great recommendations, i just want to say Thank You for checking out BTS with what appears to be a very open mind. I don't think you realize (understandably) how much hate and disrespect that people give both BTS and the fandom (we are 'ARMY'). so myself (and probably plenty others) appreciate your attitude and willingness to check out this extremly different culture and community. also if you continue to react to them (especially their music) dont be afraid of saying that the song isnt to your taste, just avoid being disrespectful. Whilst there are toxic sides to every fandom, it is usually provoked with ARMY, if not provoked then triggered. If you have any ANY questions, dont be afraid to ask... ARMYs are like your own personal BTS encyclopedia. *note : dont be afraid to pause if ANYTHING confuses you or you get reminded of somethine (ARMYs prefer pausing and talking much more than talking over the content). Also everytime you pause, go back like 5-10 seconds. With music and interviews, considereing that they speak Korean (and other languages) and whilst they do speak great english now, it makes staying with the context and or conversation much easier for an international non-korean speaker. Don't worry, they are wonderful lyricist and producers ;] They write the lyrics for all their songs except their english ones, and help in producing most of their songs as well :D It's low-key funny how you can immediately sense the difference between the depth of the lyrics they themselves write and the depth of the lyrics others write, cause, when BTS write their own lyrics, then the songs handle more of a heavy meaning and poetic phrasing, not that they can't write other types of lyricism, they can do that as well.

They do make their own music .. 2 were underground rappers before they joined bts and i some of them have been. Credited for over 100 songs... They also produce.. 3 are full time producers and the others do some producing as well and one of them directed one of their music videos.. they have a lot of freedom especially for a kpop group

Hey, thank you so much for reacting to BTS! Can I give you a little background info? Or a lot? Lol BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan, or Bulletproof Boyscouts in English. They began as a hip-hop group but debuted in 2013 as a K-pop idol group with members Jungkook, V, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, Jin, and Suga (left to right). They have a massive and varied discography of 300+ songs, touching on a variety of subject matters and concepts, usually with deep, meaningful, and complicated Korean lyrics. They release songs together as 7, songs as sub-units, and solo tracks as well. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists so those two groups usually stick together for subunits but not all the time. This may come as a surprise but BTS is the most popular boy band in the world, the most popular group of all time (thank you internet). They have been globally dominant for the past 4-5 years. You may not have noticed because BTS has barely gotten any English media attention and barely any English radio spins, unless their tracks were in English (3 fully English songs to date). Their last four singles were Billboard hot 100 #1, and their longest running #1 “butter” debuted there and stayed there for 9-10 weeks. They were even nominated for a Grammy this past year. They have broken countless world and music industry records and continue to do so. Do you like rap/hiphop? I would suggest something from the rapline like Ugh, Ddaeng, or Outro Tear. Just don’t forget subtitles and I’d 100% suggest explanation videos bc they can be confusing. My favourite solos are Daechwita by Agust D (Suga of BTS) and Joke by RM. Their flow and cadence is truly unreal. My favourite MVs are ON Kinetic Manifesto and Black Swan. If you don’t believe how ridiculously popular they are, start reacting to them and you’ll see a mass of ARMYs flood in (BTS fandom). I’d love to see more, happy reacting!!💜
Their songwriting, sincerity, and authenticity is what made me a loyal fan. I’m from Southern California and I don’t speak Korean. BTS is the biggest band in the world, not only in S. Korea. Their best-of album for Japanese versions of their songs charted in the Top 10 in official German charts several times and there are even fans in a tiny island off of Africa. Trust me, fans are everywhere. There’s a reason for it, because they make good music, really talented, and write/rap/sing about relavant and relatable things such as social issues, mental health, and self worth. Check out the music video for “ON” Kinetic Manifesto Film, and try “Mic Drop” (Steve Aoki Remix) which is a diss track few years ago (yes they have some fire diss tracks lol).

I would HIGHLY recommend for you to react on This is BTS by Xceleste and This is BTS Army by Xceleste. You will learn a bit (or a lot) about them better. You can also react to their songs in Korean just turn on your CC. They make their own music, not just write but also produced. And one of their song Life goes on was Directed by the youngest member. They have different genre of music, Ballad, Pop, hip hop ect. What i love about their songs are the Lyrics and Meaning behind them. especially if you will react to explanation videos. You will learn a lot.
it's a lot more common nowadays for kpop groups to have creative input in their songs. there are still a large amount of groups who don't write/produce/choreograph their own stuff but there are quite a lot who do as well.
btw we know for sure that all their credits on music are real because we've seen some of their creative process on video, like some of their production work and even brainstorming for lyrics sometimes. they're just insanely talented at creating good music.

Thanks for checking out BTS. As you found out, RM is the leader. However, he is not the leader because he speaks English the best out of all of them. His leadership qualities are so advanced even from 8 years ago when they debuted in the music industry. We all can learn a lot from him. Also, you seemed quite skeptical about their involvement with their music. Please check out credits to any of their songs other than Dynamite. They have writing and/or producing credits in a majority of their Korean songs. Some songs that they may understandably be missing from song writing credits are from their Japanese songs such as Let Go, Don't Leave Me etc as it is not their first language. BTS has only had 3 full English songs and they only participated in the writing in one of them. If you are interested in checking out their music, please post or mention what categories you prefer. I prefer more of their hip hop songs so I would tend to recommend the rap line's songs such as all of their Cyphers (Part 1 - 4), Hip Hop Phile, Ugh, and Tear.
Pls do more of bts they write and produce there own music. I recommend "Ugh" and the explained video. Bts usually makes hip hop music if your into that. You have a LOT to learn
They are the most popular group in the world, it would be strange if they weren't in Korea. They make their country shine and are called even by the president 'the pride of the nation' and the group that 'paved the way' for others.

This was fun to watch with you. I haven’t watched it before. They are a good group of young men. They debuted in 2013 and have a ton of MVs, performance ready dance practices, and a variety of other content as much fun as this was. By now you know 2 came from underground rap (Rm and Suga), 1 was a street dancer (J-Hope) who became a rapper after joining the group, 1 was trained in contemporary dance (Jimin), and the other 3 have natural talents. V has soulful voice, Jin has a voice made for ballads though I heard someone say he would be good in rock, and Jungkook is the youngest and probably most all round talented.

BTS has been making their own music from the beginning, RM, Suga, and J Hope are the main songwriters/producers in the group, and all the members are songwriters. Suga was originally hired by BIG HIT to be a producer, and then they talked him into becoming a BTS member. Like they said, they have in house producers as well that they work with. All 7 BTS members are associate members of the Korean Music Copyright Association (KOMCA), and RM, J Hope, and SUGA are full members. They have been writing and producing their own music, with their in-house producers, sing their debut in 2013. They have accepted songs, and also wrote on other peoples songs and produced. Suga has awards for his production of other Artists songs, and songwriting. They have collaborated with many artists, including Western Artists.

It's low-key funny how you can immediately sense the difference between the depth of the lyrics they themselves write and the depth of the lyrics others write, cause, when BTS write their own lyrics, then the songs handle more of a heavy meaning and poetic phrasing, not that they can't write other types of lyricism, they can do that as well.

BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan, or Bulletproof Boyscouts in English. They began as a hip-hop group but debuted in 2013 as a K-pop idol group with members Jungkook, V, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, Jin, and Suga (left to right). They have a massive and varied discography of 300+ songs, touching on a variety of subject matters and concepts, usually with deep, meaningful, and complicated Korean lyrics. They release songs together as 7, songs as sub-units, and solo tracks as well. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists so those two groups usually stick together for subunits but not all the time.
This may come as a surprise but BTS is the most popular boy band in the world, the most popular group of all time (thank you internet). They have been globally dominant for the past 4-5 years. You may not have noticed because BTS has barely gotten any English media attention and barely any English radio spins, unless their tracks were in English (3 fully English songs to date). Their last four singles were Billboard hot 100 #1, and their longest running #1 “butter” debuted there and stayed there for 9-10 weeks. They were even nominated for a Grammy this past year. They have broken countless world and music industry records and continue to do so.
Do you like rap/hiphop? I would suggest something from the rapline like Ugh, Ddaeng, or Outro Tear. Just don’t forget subtitles and I’d 100% suggest explanation videos bc they can be confusing. My favourite solos are Daechwita by Agust D (Suga of BTS) and Joke by RM. Their flow and cadence is truly unreal. My favourite MVs are ON Kinetic Manifesto and Black Swan. If you don’t believe how ridiculously popular they are, start reacting to them and you’ll see a mass of ARMYs flood in (BTS fandom).

Their songwriting, sincerity, and authenticity is what made me a loyal fan. I’m from Southern California and I don’t speak Korean. BTS is the biggest band in the world, not only in S. Korea. Their best-of album for Japanese versions of their songs charted in the Top 10 in official German charts several times and there are even fans in a tiny island off of Africa. Trust me, fans are everywhere. There’s a reason for it, because they make good music, really talented, and write/rap/sing about relavant and relatable things such as social issues, mental health, and self worth. Check out the music video for “ON” Kinetic Manifesto Film, and try “Mic Drop” (Steve Aoki Remix) which is a diss track few years ago (yes they have some fire diss tracks lol).

I would HIGHLY recommend for you to react on This is BTS by Xceleste and This is BTS Army by Xceleste. You will learn a bit (or a lot) about them better. You can also react to their songs in Korean just turn on your CC. They make their own music, not just write but also produced. And one of their song Life goes on was Directed by the youngest member. They have different genre of music, Ballad, Pop, hip hop ect. What i love about their songs are the Lyrics and Meaning behind them. especially if you will react to explanation videos. You will learn a lot.

it's a lot more common nowadays for kpop groups to have creative input in their songs. there are still a large amount of groups who don't write/produce/choreograph their own stuff but there are quite a lot who do as well.

Thanks for checking out BTS. As you found out, RM is the leader. However, he is not the leader because he speaks English the best out of all of them. His leadership qualities are so advanced even from 8 years ago when they debuted in the music industry. We all can learn a lot from him. Also, you seemed quite skeptical about their involvement with their music. Please check out credits to any of their songs other than Dynamite. They have writing and/or producing credits in a majority of their Korean songs. Some songs that they may understandably be missing from song writing credits are from their Japanese songs such as Let Go, Don't Leave Me etc as it is not their first language. BTS has only had 3 full English songs and they only participated in the writing in one of them. If you are interested in checking out their music, please post or mention what categories you prefer. I prefer more of their hip hop songs so I would tend to recommend the rap line's songs such as all of their Cyphers (Part 1 - 4), Hip Hop Phile, Ugh, and Tear.

This was fun to watch with you. I haven’t watched it before. They are a good group of young men.
They debuted in 2013 and have a ton of MVs, performance ready dance practices, and a variety of other content as much fun as this was.
By now you know 2 came from underground rap (Rm and Suga), 1 was a street dancer (J-Hope) who became a rapper after joining the group, 1 was trained in contemporary dance (Jimin), and the other 3 have natural talents. V has soulful voice, Jin has a voice made for ballads though I heard someone say he would be good in rock, and Jungkook is the youngest and probably most all round talented.

BTS has been making their own music from the beginning, RM, Suga, and J Hope are the main songwriters/producers in the group, and all the members are songwriters. Suga was originally hired by BIG HIT to be a producer, and then they talked him into becoming a BTS member. Like they said, they have in house producers as well that they work with. Hitman Bang (their boss), P-DOGG (they call him the 8th member of BTS), Hiss Noise, and some others. They actually debuted in 2013 in South Korea as a Hip Hop Idol Group (under the K-Pop umbrella). And they are the biggest group in the world right now. They have dominated the KPOP industry and they are internationally famous.

All 7 BTS members are associate members of the Korean Music Copyright Association (KOMCA), and RM, J Hope, and SUGA are full members. I'm a little outdated with my BTS info, but I believe all of the members are at least part-time members of the Korean copyright association and the three rappers are full-time members.
