A 50 minute episode? My day is about to be very very good even though my bus is going to make me late Edit: how do I hug the disembodied voice of John?
I was on the edge of my seat the whole episode. Heartbreaking, yes, but a far far better treatment of, and send off for, Mary Morstan than many other adaptations.
This episode was truly heartbreaking. But seriously now- Ever since the beginning of the podcast, I just love love LOVE the effort and talent put into the voice acting. Its so nice to listen to and tbh very inspiring (i'd love to be a voice actor someday aswell). Seriously, the Show/Podcast is incredible. I've never been a huge fan of podcasts or audiobooks, but this one really changed it for me. And especially the emotions portrayed at the end here, wow- It's incredible, really I'm at a loss for words. I love this, please keep making more adventures🙏🙏
Oh god. Was not expecting that. And John apologizing because he knows us listeners tune in to get away from the bad stuff in our lives and it got bad? God. This episode hit hard man. Loved Mary, she was handled so so well, so many adaptions do her dirty but she was such a thought out rounded character, she will be dearly missed by me. I really hope John, Sherlock and Marianna will do okay in the wake of her death.
Thoughts & Spoilers: Nearly an hour long, lads! I'm both overjoyed and worried for our detectives!! "I can't even read books that I actually want to read!" "...Attention span and all that." JONK WATSON, YOU HAVE ADHD JOIN THE CLUB Wow, Jonathan's villainous ranting is so well-delivered, actual chills "It reeks of weakness...Just a little critical feedback." SHERLOCK, YOU WONDERFUL BITCH THAT WAS BRILLIANT Thought they were already there?? Oh, PLEASE don't let anything else happen to that boy now!!! "Love, Watson! I'm talking about love!" ...My mind is struggling not to imagine Sherlock screaming that at Watson in a confession "We're not bloody pirates!" *BBC Sherlock flashbacks intensify* Sherlock being so eager to get into the Thames is giving me some vibes for possible foreshadowing to the Reichenbach Falls, and I am UNCOMFY Mary talking to John in morse code by the taps, that's GENIUS!! Mary, you bloody badarse! Bursting in like that! JOHN, YOU EVEN BIGGER BADARSE!! BEATING THAT GUY WITH THE MIC!!! Wait...Wait, wait, no, no, is Mary going to die??? Oh no, John's getting ominous, should we be scared..? MARY DID DIE?! NO, I HATE THAT I WAS RIGHT! Fuck, now I'm crying with John! ToT He's getting meta with it to! Oh, Watson, don't apologise! This is breaking my heart, bloody hell...
Loved this series!! Really drew us in and made it feel real! RIP Mary, a good woman, and a hero who helped save a life... (glad that my shipping marianna and john can continue tho, you know down the line later)
Well… that hurt 🥲💔 Man, I was really looking forward to see (hear) their relationship develop and for them to eventually get married. They were so cute together 😞 RIP Mary 🤍 And I hope John can get through this with Sherlock and Mariana by his side. I wish I could give him a hug ❤️
SPOILERS: I can’t believe that ending. How bloody dare you. I am not ok. John is supposed to marry her, you f- I can’t even finish that. I hate that I’m alone in my room in the middle of the night listening to that. Like I understand that this adaptation is not exactly the same, but it’s supposed to the most like the originals but with the necessary modern twists! I know that Mary does eventually die, but she’s supposed to be there for John after whatever the story is with Moriarty. How in the bloody flipping hell are they going to twist this?! I’m still pissed the next morning. I don’t know what to do.
absolutely loved your version of the Sign of Four. So much better than the original version. But Mary? She played a massive role in the dynamic between Sherlock and John in the originals. I'm interested to see how you go about replacing her.
This is such a sad episode. Will miss you Mary, and hope you are ok John.
this is the first comment that appeared. spoiled it for me but at least i won't cry my heart out when she dies
@beuggertclips Oh sorry, I didn't know that it would spoil the story.
@@navyavihaan1069nah it's ok! It literally confused me, so I didn't have such a bad reaction to her death :3

Edit: how do I hug the disembodied voice of John?
... Not everything wraps up cleanly. I hope Watson feels better, in time.
Man this ten parter felt shorter than it seemed :(
I look forward to the next episodes, I love this podcast ^^
That last clip was just...ouch 😭

I read the comments before listening to the episode, and now I'm crying before I've even listened to it

47:39 NO YOU WONT JOHN YOU WONT HAVE TIME 😭😭😭
"If something happens to Mary I will riot" (written on part 3)
Yeah well
IT'S TIME TO RIOT
I'm feeling so bad for John! I loved Mary! It was such an emotional ending 😭😭
Noooo!!!!

Ah yes, go on, break my heart...
Oh no!!!! But.....she'll be back yeah....like Moriarty and Sherlock at the waterfall!!?? 😢
Theory: She faked her death (like Sherlock in BBC) cuz she's a secret agent ( kinda like BBC Mary?) And she'll come back in later adventures >:)
Listening to it on Spotify, really hard listening to Mary. She dies in all of them but not like this, they’re supposed to have some time together.
Goddammit universe, why can't you just let John be happy!? 😭
Damn
MARYYYY NOOOOOOO
