Sounds like a good thing in my opinion!
A big part of Stellaris lore, is to "merge" all of our sci-fi into one galaxy. Particularly from Star Trek. They literally have an arc about small furry critters that breed very rapidly and humans become addicted to how "cute" and "cuddly" they are. 😆
So the Twilight Imperium experience, but with simultaneous turns. So it takes 2 hours to play instead of 8? Sign me up

This reminds me a lot of Twilight Imperium the board game. I'm really interested in a Stellaris game thats LESS gamey, not more. You don't have to go full Distant Worlds 2 but something that doesn't boil down to piling up at choke points would be great.

Mod your Stellaris more, the game still gets occasional gameplay updates and doesn't need a sequel. Let them have their spin-off game and vote with your wallet.

You're licensing out Stellaris related stuff to random dev houses quite a lot... this looks very much like Sins of a Solar Empire.
After the debacle Paradox caused for Cities Skylines 2 (forcing it to be released when they knew for a fact it was nowhere close to being ready even for early access) and the past few months of Stellaris and the terrible overpriced DLC's they've dumped on us as cash grabs for years I can't justify spending any money at all on the games they publish. Thankfully the seas are clear with a lovely eastern breeze, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
why is every game publisher trying to make 4x with german board game victory points happen. board games only have fat, arbitrary victory points because they can't handle the better systems that a computer can.

I'm not interested in Stellaris with less customization. The fun in Stellaris lies in creating your own unique civilization and story
