LOVE THIS SONG. LOVE BETH HART. I just discovered her- an amazing, talented hidden gem in May or June 2023 after my father had coffee with her brother in Pasadena, CA. Her brother and my dad were introduced by a mutual friend who thought they had a lot in common because both had married Norwegian women. So I looked her up and she is now my favorite artist. My now late Norwegian mother was born in Western Norway in 1942 during the Nazi occupation. She never complained about anything and thought Americans were such whiners. She encouraged me to seek a joyful life, to be a good, generous friend, and to entertain friends often, to be honest, be myself, to never covet material possessions for they are not people, family, or friends but meaningless ephemera that most likely will end up in a landfill, to never gossip or say something in the heat of passion that I would regret later, and. most importantly, to never fear death (The Viking Saying from the Havamal is: Do not fear the date of your doom, as it is set, and nothing can change it.) My mother never complained once or cried out of self-pity when she learned she was terminal. Jeg elsker deg, min mord, Lill-Aase! Also love the song, Mama, This One's For You.

Wow, what a woman, what a voice. I had no clue who this woman was until yesterday when I saw "Inas Nacht" and Beth appeared there to sing "Mechanical Heart" and "Bad Woman Blues". Ina wasn't exaggerating when she called her her absolute favorite singer. I immediately fell in love with that voice, with those lines of music from Beth. Divine and grandiose! Thank you Ina for bringing Beth Hart to Germany and making her so well known. I will immediately get everything that is available to order from Beth. She now also has a fan in me.
