We've now identified over 100 different living species of lemur. One of my personal favorite animals! If only everyone could be lucky enough to get to interact with them their survival would never be in question!
A few years ago, there was a show called The Kratz/Krats (?) brothers who had a leeping Lemur called Zabumafu. I think it was a PBS show, and my young son loved it at the time.
Me too, and the spiny forests of Madagascar are indeed home to the awesome ring-tailed lemurs, mouse lemurs, fat-tailed dwarf lemurs, collared brown lemurs and Verreaux's sifaka lemurs.
.... The Indonesians did not arrive in Madagascar 2000 years ago... it arrived in 800-900 CE... That's around a thousand years ago in the early middle medieval era.

Are all the amazingly beautiful lemurs of Madagascar placed under wildlife protection ?. The loss or their natural habitat is frightening .
One of my favorite lemurs is the diademed sifaka lemur and the black and white ruffed lemur and gray gentle bamboo lemur.
Thank you for making this video, it was very informative. Lemurs are my favorite wild animals. I like to visit them whenever I go to the zoo.
