Correct. I discovered this channel via a random episode of Freeways, and I really applaud the practice. After all, the one I clicked on was recommended by youtube, and you never know when you're uploading which one will go viral, so might as well treat each one as a visitor's first. Also, seeing him explain it each time has not gotten annoying to me at all because he manages to introduce each concept the moment it comes into play in the video and not a moment sooner.

Maps that have only one entrance and one exit don't get simulated. This is why the "strongest shape" road he did at the beginning and the one in the top left that bridges out over the ocean along with a few others I believe don't have a score. There is no simulating them because there is no traffic jam issue to calculate against.

I'm in San Antonio and we have soooo many 4 level stack interchanges. Most of them in very popular areas so they're not very symmetrical, but usually pretty efficient. I was told they build so many bridges here cause they don't have to worry about freezing much
There’s some that are even more than 4 levels if I remember correctly. I lived in San Antonio, well a subdivision called Cibolo for a summer. Right next to a huge 8 lane highway. I think it was like 34 or 35 I don’t remember but I remember the interchanges being huge

Probably not because it is supposed be like that. It's not a esport neither he is speed runner or esport player , he is just guy who loves and enjoys playing games just like us. Games are supposed to be enjoyed no matter what , if you play bad or good , what matters is enjoying it. Also, he need to make content on variety of games if he wants to reach new heights.👍

I've spent quite a few hours on this game trying to optimize my roads and have managed to get to 28K and you just casually finish the game with over 30K. Lol. Fantastic job
It would also be cool if cars accelerated on "straight" pieces of road and braked realistically: then you'd really have to think about traffic and sensible road designs
Man, I'm really going to miss these series. I watched every episode, and it's basically the only series I really like in this channel. I hope a new series like this one starts soon.
My current world efficiency after building all 81 screens is just shy of 31 thousand but with a load of optimisations still to do, and I've managed to unlock all pictures also. On the instructions screen the left and right hand side shows all the pictures you can unlock. You can see in the video that when you were on that screen one picture was darkened on the left hand side. Look around 14:26. I've got a list somewhere of the order of the pictures and which screen they were from. I've watched "Biertier, ze German engineer" play this and he's got over 40,000 world efficiency from what I recall by optimising so much it's unbelievable. It's well worth looking at to see how much the screens can be improved.

Unfortunately, this was destroyed in the floods of 2021. Just 1 or 2 months after the completion of the construction work... RIP Bridges of Ahr Valley 😞And more than 40 bridges were also destroyed... Just search Ahrtal Flut B9 Brücke, but there are many more innocent Bridges killed
Hey RCE, you should look into scrap mechanic. It's got a challenge mode that i think you will enjoy, and its got a steam workshop to play challenges your fans can build for you! There's even mod support

Cheers, got motivated to finish my playthrough aswell! The impossible Track 57 was now a lot easier... Drew it tens of times for 140, one 174, and required just 175 for picture. Went with 2xS roads as sharpish turns never worked out, saved some concrete with it easily. Got all achievements now and score is 27.7k.
YES I’m so excited that the last one was San Antonio, we have so many stack interchanges all over the city. They make it so easy to navigate the highways
I really hope matt continues this series by Tring to increase his score a lot another thing matt should play is a mobile game called intersection controller. It isn't a bad game

One of the cool things about San Antonio was the massive highway interchanges. There are several that have bridges that soar over, over 100 feet tall. Giant multilayered bridges, it was actually super cool to go over some and almost look like you were taking off in an air plane, if you looked over the edge watching the city fall away. Okay, no, that was the only cool thing about living in San Antonio...

given the fact that Texas has some of the fastest highways in America, having a 4-level stack interchange is not a surprise. (Yes, it is a big waste of money and do nothing to reduce car-dependency.)
i personally would love if he just went crazy on every level and made super ridiculous and silly roads. he gets really creative with the unscored levels, so it would be fun the result if he ignores the scores for all of the levels and just goes wild.

I think on some of the ones with very little traffic, you could have just done a regular old x-intersection and saved material. On the redesign front, maybe it would have been best to start with the lowest scores. There were several in the 200 range.
I'd love to see you play Mindustry, a resource management tower defense or something along the line, can't really explain it. You use machines to mine resources, put them on conveyor belts back to the base to create more machines and stuffs, you can build turrets to defend your base from the enemy robots and even build your own bots to fight them
My score 30877 - Well done to you and you are a real Engineer Matt unlike me I am not an engineer. Makes me want to drive these in real life and see how fast I could really go...without any other traffic though.
In the intro when you said "levels that nearly broke me" and showed level 57, I felt that. Only ever got to around ~150 and I have no idea how to improve. Could try to copy your design one to one but that feels like cheating lol.

Level 78 seems to remain "unsimulated" and, hence, unscored. To become more "1%-ish", you need every pinch of score!

At least in Cities Skylines, roundabouts are only good of medium-level traffic. Once it gets too much, everything clogges up and slows to a crawl.

That graphical issue actually does affect flow because other cars on that bridge stop to give way to the car that glitches through.
