Thanos FINALLY comes to the realization that Mistress Death has been playing him for a fool and in Marvel's X saga Thanos uses the Ultimate Nullifier to kill her
@@venomfan2020thanos in the mcu does not have a point. Killing off half of life INCLUDING plants/animals defeats his ideology especially since plants and certain animals are a key source for a thriving planet. Also for corruption for example if you get rid of 1 corrupted person another will rise and so on. He could have expanded the planet(s) for more resources OR just make resources limitless. His solution was literally going to be a cycle of bullshit with no real resolution
If anyone wants to get the best depiction of the concept of “Death” in Marvel comics, they simply have to go back to the old 1970s version of the Doctor Strange comic book drawn by the immortal Frank Brunner and written by Steve Gerber, I believe. He gave what I think they should’ve never let go in any depiction of that character. Death has existed for so long that it does not recognize any one individual. It does not know who Doctor Strange was. It would’ve taken the concept of Thanos courting her as more of his warped projection than it was anything that she existed as a structure at all. They would’ve made him to feel like a mad person rather than this character actually having any form (which throws out the nonsense of that Kranker comic about these abstract entities going to a “dimension of manifestation“ insanity. Then again, it’s those early concepts of characters like that, and eternity that made those characters, all powerful and incomprehensive, even to so-called classic Doctor Strange
Long time listener, first time caller 😉Quick question, will you cover "last remains"? I only really like your explanations, love your enthusiasm. I found issue 29th December 2022, only just read it, got no idea how it came into my possession, we call it the spooky comic, it literally appeared overnight at the bottom of a box from my mum's house, that was actually packed in 2021, I know from correspondents from my divorce. I haven't even heard of this story ark either
I would appreciate if you kept up the coverage of Infinity Watch (2024). I think you're going to end up covering it eventually. They are building up to the Thanos with Mjolnir and all the Infinity Stones and the Black Death Stone. Unless they already did and I missed it.
Dude, you gave me a big spoiler for the series and this has never happened on this channel before. Usually when you give up something reading comics or talking about the series I'm just like oh, I knew that I knew that today you spoiled it. I'm still here though. I still love you. I just didn't know
Soooo, if you're too good of a warrior and no one can kill you in combat so you die of old age you go to hell but if you suck as a warrior and die in your first battle you go to Valhalla? Sure, that makes sense...lol 😂
Yeah, that’s old mythology for you. There are stories were Odin looked favorably on a warrior he like, so he made them trip in battle so they would lose and die. That way, they’d die in battle and join his army in Valhalla. Basically, it was a way of explaining why seemingly unstoppable men could be killed by a peasant with a pitchfork
Cosmic- The One 1️⃣ Above ⬆️ All The Living Tribunal The Fulcrum Eternity Oblivion Death 💀 (Lady) Kronos Infinity ♾️ Nemesis The Phoenix 🐦🔥 Adam Warlock 🧙♂️
Thanos searched the galaxy for the infinity stones and wiped out half of the universe for one reason. To please Mistress Death, but unfortunately, he just can't take a hint. Which is how relationships are these days. What is it with Women telling men they can't take a hint?
What is it with men being sex-pests who think they are entitled to women and take any interaction from women to them, especially basic kindness, as a romantic gesture? Men are the problem.
8:32 is that how that would even work. There are 10 different realms for after life, but if you get banished from deaths dimension then you’ll live forever? I feel liked you’d just got to one of the worse ones 😂
For all of Thanos's intelligence, it always baffled me that he never figured out that if he wanted Mistress Death, essentially being a postman that keeps bringing her mail isn't gonna work. And if you're the one writing her letters just so you have an excuse to bring it to her.. If you wanna be equal to death, become life dummy. You were able to absorb the 1 above all, the Phoenix force shouldn't be that difficult.. If you want death to chase and embrace you, you either gotta be perpetually on the verge of death but can't die (like idk, DEADPOOL) or like you told your futurewl self, you gotta die..
It would be interesting to have a connection between the Pheonix and Mistress Death if Marvel persued the idea of her realm being The White Hot Room. If you draw upon the notion of her being based upon the Grim Reaper then she is gathering the lifeforce of people who's physical bodies are now gone or beyond repair and like a cracked or destroy vessel of water that liquid has to go somewhere. If the Pheonix is the sum total of all life that can, has or currently exists then it would be where the water goes. Therefore Mistress Death and her varients could reasonably be the servant of the Pheonix Force that gather life to The White Hot Room which causes it to join with the Pheonix Force. This would also explain why Jean Grey enters the White Hot Room when she dies as it is the realm of Mistress Death and she experiences it differentky due to being a previous host of the Pheonix.
Here's a deep reference. Maybe Aubrey Plaza is playing Blackheart seeing as they have mentioned Mephisto, they are quite fitting given the scenario. Maybe the Man in the Library with the burned book was Mephisto setting Agatha down the road.
I absolutely love Taweret's quote in "Moon Knight": "You'd be surprised how many intersections planes of untethered consciousness exist." That's how I envision Marvel's afterlife structure.
Hey Rob! I have an idea. You know how you always say, "Bear with me while I explain this, yada yada yada!" Why don't you pre-record 5 min clips that can be linked to the video. You explain The Chaos Lords, Demiurge, Kree/Skrull War, Starbrand, Celestials and Mad Jim Jasper's almost weekly. I think it would benefit your old and new fans alike. Don't worry about thanking me....I'll take a Rob Corps ring on my way out!
I am a *huge* fan of Aubrey Plaza from her Parks + Rec days. However I still think Morena Baccarin would be a far more interesting choice. Lady Death having Vanessa's face would set up so much for Deadpool in the future. It's pretty much a layup shot for conflict between Deadpool + Thanos.
I'm also a huge fan and I got a bit disappointed with the reveal initially, I wish she was the first green witch or the enchantress... But honestly, the path they're taking in the show, her story with Agatha makes sense and is pretty interesting
Episode 4 will most likely confirm it, A funko pop for her in Agatha All Along was revealed before Episode 3 called Death. Not Mistress just Death. Marvel might be doing the Supernatural route for Death and Reapers but for Witches/Warlocks
@@Xailow she keep's talking about her "job" and how she want's people to die because she want bodies, the story she tells of how she fell for someone, obviously Agatha, and that prevented her to do her "job". Also, when the teen (or Wiccan I gues) is injured and about to bites the dust Agatha says no, and then she look's directly to Aubrey Plaza character and says to her "please no" or something like that, like begging her to not take his life. Also, funko pops actually leaked that, so knowing it and watching episode 4, it's pretty clear, the nods and clues are all there. When they reveal that in the show, nobody can say it was out of nowhere.
*I am almost contemplating watching the show to see this theory and of course, my love* Miss or soon to be Mrs.wife of mine Plaza ❤️ 🥵 😻 I won’t watch it tho.. lmfao

I'm super worried about Hurricane Milton, I'm right outside of the projected path
I’ve been waiting for this explanation
Great video!!!
You should do a video on James Robinson’s Scarlet Witch run, focusing on the comic origins of the Witches Road
yes, please do infinity watch.
Thanos FINALLY comes to the realization that Mistress Death has been playing him for a fool and in Marvel's X saga Thanos uses the Ultimate Nullifier to kill her
I always thought the Beyonder looked like David Hasslehoff from Night Rider. More so than Travolta IMO.
Bruh, really tho
I believe The Hoff was the inspiration
Yep definitely. The Hoff all the way. Dico Hoff complete with Saturday Night Fever finger pointing battle action. 😊
Thanos' quest to collect all Infinity Stones got ultimately wasted when Deadpool steals his beloved Death. Let that sink in.
Thanos in the MCU: kinda has a point
Thanos in the comics: biggest simp for a girl who hates him
Deadpool got super lucky tho, to smash with literal Death herself

Saying “let that sink in” means you don’t actually have a point and are trying to sound profound when you’re really an idiot.

Thane?
02:15 As yes, the cosmic entities Infinity & Eternity/Master Order & Lord Chaos... and Ben Grimm THE THING.
So DEATH is basically ... a parasite!
🦠😱🦠
Death on the Altar of Death is such an iconic site.
11:18 now can we get John Travolta in the MCU as the OG Beyonder😂
I love when casual bring up deadpool healing factor aside from the fact he loss it in 2016 i think
I like the comic run where Thanos meets her as a child... She's a figment of his imagination in that story
you forgot one more person rob... Ben Riely, the 3rd one time love interest of mistress death lol

Funko pop leaks confirm she is playing death
I remember when the beyonder hit her with his omnipotence that’s her main weakness…
I so wanna see Thanos in his helicopter vs Deadpool in the MCU.
Take a shot every time Rob says "In ______ Comics"
Mistress Death is kinda like Knull, wanting to end everything until there's nothing left in the Marvel Universe.
rob can you cover Contest of Champions

Thanos needs to talk to Saturnyne about romantic pursuits. They’d get alongn
Mistress Death being forced to kill and it setting her on a path of 4d chess revenge, hmmmmmmm
