If the nut near the caliper side of the hose is seized try cutting the hose near the caliper side and then use a deep 14mm socket, Worked a treat !!!!

If you have one, a 10-second application of oxyacetylene torch with a neat flame on the flare nut works every time...don't overheat, though, or the hose will explode out of the crimp fitting. I am in the northeast, and the bleed screw always needs torch work to aid in loosening it. I was glad to see the vise-grip used to hold the fitting while the flare nut was worked back and forth...the bracket is usually flimsy, and won't stand much exertion. Nice job on my least-favorite brake hose replacement!

Hi I was doing this now. Tried to spray so much penetrating fluid, but it seize good in there. And seems that I rounded the nut even I was using a flare wrench. Even tried with pair of regular size channel lock. Same result. U think if I heat it up even with the rounded nut it would still be easy to take out?

So I rounded the nut. Do you think picking up a oxyacetylene torch and some vise grips might still be worth a shot?

Never mind. Just googled it and I think that’s going to be too much for a diy mechanic like myself.

I'm getting ready to do a full brake service on my 08 Mazda 3 for the first time since owning the car and this video is the one that has me worried about the job now. I havent been able to find flex hoses or brake calipers for this model of car on your website. If you dont carry them, who do you recommend buying these parts from?

_Reboot153 I'm confused, why didn't you do what everyone in other videos are doing and bleed it through a hose and a bottle? why was that not necessary at all?

Thanks for the video. I have the same car, and the flex hose is like that visually. Am planning to change that as I change the caliper. I believe the hose is there to limit flexing of the hose but it certainly harbors moisture. I am contemplating to remove the rubber boot. Thoughts?

Why gravity bleed vs using brake pedal pressure?

What spray are you using ? Is it brake cleaner used to remove rust and to break bolt free ?

How do you take out and put in the new metal pipeline? Part number part 46377-SNA-H00 for a Honda civic. The 5-6 foot metal line that goes across the cars firewall

Footage bleeding by gravity is better to prevent damage to the master cylinder
