Start preheating your skillet to medium heat and spray with oil or add butter to grease the pan. Pour a quarter (1/4) cup of batter into the pan for each pancake and cook like a pancake. Then serve with butter and applesauce.

I don't know why people act like this is a big deal. If you turn the heat too high and try to cook the pancake too fast, this will happen. It isn't some incredulous feat, is just a normal consequence of cooking with impatience.
